Conclusion: Someone was trapped in the mirror dimension for like 14 years or so. One day iris decided to touch a mirror, her reflection pulled her into the mirror and got itself out of it. So the iris in the video is the opposite of iris, and the gadget Goin into mirror was the person in the mirror turning it so, what Barry said the gadget does is reversed.
My biggest issue with this show is that no supporting characters ever would be smart enough to realize that something is happening. Like if Barry was acting weird they never thought maybe time travel or anything. Barry carried the show. He always was able to notice this type of stuff.

The issue is that the mirror scanner was mirrored, I guessed that immediately and haven’t seen this part of the show. Barry is supposed to be hella smart, all of them should be but it seems they all have lower than avg iq when it matters most.

If I were Barry, the second I realized the Prismatic Wave light was tampered with, I would've ran my hand straight through Iris's Heart, like why do they get to lock him up? They haven't been there since day 1 like Cisco, Caitlin, and Harry, except they're all gone now. And they even ruined Caitlin by separating her and Killer Frost.
He got tired of looking like an idiot and having everything he worked hard for thrown against him so he made himself way to smart for his own good he exposed the Villain on national tv while putting his friends and Iris in danger
