Nice video also I'll be sad when these buses retire in later years because I grew up with these buses and I rode these buses when I was 4-8 years old back when I used to live in Queens I'm gonna Miss these buses when they retire
Damn!! going miss seeing these C40LFs 2.0 models! Can't believe there 11 years old and the Rust on the rear door. Btw, I Wonder what type newer powered CNG Buses will look like close ahead.
Once those buses reach 12y/o and/or 500K miles, they're on the chopping block for retirement. Probably, more XN40s and/or maybe some LFS CNGs. I'll dicuss this in a future video in regards to bus procurement orders.
@@TransportationHub I'd say most likely newer XN40s. NICE bus seems to like theirs and keep going back for more orders along side their new Gillig Advantage BRT Plus CNGs(even though they keep catching fire, atleast the 2015 units so far, but that's likely more on them and their lack of proper maintenance). Additionally, the MTA might even take another look at the BRT Plus as they briefly borrowed one of NICE's a few months ago at Zerega.
These buses have CNG tanks rated for 20 years of use. Plus a large majority of them have had their engines replaced which resets their mileage. These will be running for a couple more years at this rate. The earliest some of these may start retiring is 2025/2026
Nice video also

Thank you😊. And yes, these buses were a pleasure to ride on, especially their 1998-2000 predecessors with the Detroit Diesel Series 50G engine.
It’s hard to believe these buses are near retirement age. I wish the Orion VII CNGs were still around
Well, the MTA is considering about retiring them, but its not anytime soon though. I wish they were still around too as well.
The 07 NG CNGs(the newest units) and 07 EPA10 3G CNGs are still around in Nassau though, and those are the descendances of the O7 OG CNGs.
I think the 2011-13 c40s are hon a retire em in 2027
I hope in 2027 when they retire they preserve 1 of them as a movie bus
They should make another new flyer orion v cng and orion vii cng with the Westport cummins l9n

Most likely more XNs
@@railfanner-MaxPlati hmmm. I think LFSs Cng or XN40s, or wait for it at the Jfk vendor.

I plan getting a pixel phone so I can do videos on the new flyer c40lfs before they retire
You should use a camera. You can get far better quality with that.
What camera should I get cause I'm on a budget what is the best budget camera to get any suggestions
I suggest a DSLR under $500 at the very least. I'm looking for a camera myself tbh.
Yo the new routes in the bronx are running early early
They start on June 26th, no earlier than that.
@@TransportationHub Google maps show it now
I see it show it. It also has a notice stating that the route will start service on June 26th.
@@TransportationHub oh alright oh maybe the Buses Are to To sign New Route by Still going to old Route
