There are good third party replacement feet and even head for the Hammond T-rex. Really worth it, but admittedly it's a mega DIY job and I know that's not for everyone. I'm with you though, I'd love a redesign of the Hammond T-rex that fixes issues. A Lost World buck T-Rex would be cool too, like the failed fundraiser they tried, but fixed up. We can dream! Fun fact, the original Kenner red T-Rex toy from 1993 is the most film accurate rex sculpt that's ever been released in toy form. This is because they used a model based directly on the Stan Winston Maquette. It's also why the toy's arms famously look strange, this happened because the 3D model they were sent was in a default T-pose, and they didn't bother changing it, so we got a T-posing T-Rex! The stegosaurus you mentioned is actually the only original film release dino I don't have, still wanna get it one day though but geeze those ebay prices for one in good condition, ouch!
i felt like they used way to much of the “default” mold for the hammond t rex. mattel just really needs to let go of the base mold they’ve been using for EVERY t rex toy they’ve ever made. i’m happy they changed it up with the new juvenile rex from the 93 line, but it’s just reused to hell, especially since it’s the hammond collection line. anyway back to the spinosaurus
I've been wondering why there hasn't already been one, but Mattel doesn't seem to appreciate spino that much. There are only a couple figures for it, while the t-rex has 50+ This is one of the only videos I could find of someone discussing this, and it was a great one! Keep up the work!
Nah! 2026 will be Spino. 25th anniversary of JP3, and the Spino is likely featuring in Rebirth. There is also a new Spinosaurus coming for the Rebirth line. (Confirmed this morning via retailers listings.)
1:07 I personally see that color scheme as a female. The norm for modern dinosaurs is to have flashy coloured males and plain coloured females. And since that Spino has less flashy colours than the JP3 Spino, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume it to be a female.
The Trex for Hammond collection is actually one of my favorites because it was great when I got it which was when it was released. I hope they take what they’ve done with the Giga and remake the Rex with improvements.
I am currently saving to buy my first Hammond Line; the Allosaurus. The Therozinosaurus is too expensive for me. I'm in the UK and its hard to get them for some reason
The Camo Cretaceous Spino is the same as the one from JP3, it was taken off of Sorna by Manta Corp and that's why Biosyn didn't get it. Also The Lost World came out in 1997
Honestly no one cares if there are seems they were going to happen on an articulated figure that's a big selling point of the hammond collection and sometimes mattel can't even get that right if they wanted to market the hammond collection triceratops as being accurate to the animatronic than give us jaw articulation if you want it to be a sick triceratops. The t rex is just fine the big complaint I understand is it's clown shoes for feat also I prefer the hammond collection brachiosaurus over the legacy for the articulation again the seams don't matter on an articulated figure.
If they make the spino, it should be a tad bit longer than the giga, because I'm pretty sure the camp Cretaceous spino was longer than the giga by maybe 3 feet
Genuinely what is Mattel waiting for? I don’t understand where in their business model they get the idea to develop HC scutosaurus before this 😂 maybe they’re waiting for rebirth (assuming the leaks of spino in it are true) to release it? Which would make sense
my favorite JP dino and there’s still not a super colossal version of it either 😢. Like Mattel’s remake of the Kenner Red Rex, hope they re-do the animatronic Spino from JP3?
funfact the spino from jp3 is the same from jw cc and pretty sure it switched its gender from male from jp3 to female to cc [could be other way around idk i havent heard the gender theory in awhile]
I absolutely understand that you hate the Hammond collection tyrannosaurus rex toy but it's better than the previous Jurassic world toys don't get me started on the the first Jurassic world toys they sucked bad and I love the 2009 bull T-Rex
2:00 i didnt like dominion now you may have a diffrent opinion but l think it was just a movie about a corrupt company with a dinosaur fight at the end instead of revolving around the dinosaurs.
I'm hoping for a Spino this year, but if we get a super articulated I Rex I wouldn't be that angry
I think indominus rex release next year 2025 (10 year anniversary Jurassic World 1 movie)
Bramzwingli same
I know how you feel, I need a jp3 spino or the camp spino. Also I hope they don’t kill the spino in the rebirth movie
I hope they do but he wont be a push over same with the Rex!!
I’ve heard it’s very likely it won’t be the same Spinosaurus, and that it’ll be based more on the current scientifically accurate Spinosaurus.
@@spartanvenom5388 that would be so cool same with the rex
2026 is the 25th anniversary of jurassic park 3 😭😭
yeesh
The JP3 spinosaurus is a male in the movie
ah thank u
Actually I don’t think they ever mention its gender but the one in Camp Cretaceous is male
@@JadeoftheJurassicSex* dinosaurs and non- human animals don't have gender. It is a social construct that only applies to humans.
All promotional material states the spino was a female.
@@JadeoftheJurassicone in camp is the same one from jp3

Took them a while but they eventually did with the Raptor mold
Wow interesting
The Spinosaurus in the Tumbnail is very similar to the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3
That's the G.O.A.T SPINOSAURUS.....just never bring back the SPINOSAURUS...otherwise they will kill it
lol good point
Well they should introduce a completely different spinosaurus instead of jp 3 so they don’t kill that one! A new spino should be cool to see 👍
I've been wondering why there hasn't already been one, but Mattel doesn't seem to appreciate spino that much. There are only a couple figures for it, while the t-rex has 50+
This is one of the only videos I could find of someone discussing this, and it was a great one! Keep up the work!
Fr tho. Spino doesn’t get much attention
Nah! 2026 will be Spino. 25th anniversary of JP3, and the Spino is likely featuring in Rebirth. There is also a new Spinosaurus coming for the Rebirth line. (Confirmed this morning via retailers listings.)
you may be correct... I fear
Vastatosaurus rex who's with me (unfunny joke)
lolz tbh I thought that T-rex very very clumsy and ugly
1:07 I personally see that color scheme as a female.
The norm for modern dinosaurs is to have flashy coloured males and plain coloured females.
And since that Spino has less flashy colours than the JP3 Spino, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume it to be a female.
Although its unfortunate in the case of the spino, the idea of a hamond collection indominus rex is freakin awesome
yeah :D
The feet are so big and I hate that the tail is done so poorly, especially articulation-wise. Regarding the HC rex.
yeah :L Horrible, the Giganotosaurus looks great imo- what do u think of that one?
@TriassicIceman my only nitpick with the giga is the arms are too big but otherwise it's def one of their best.
I also really don’t like the legs of the Rex. They’re super super long
Holy how big is this man? He makes the rex look like a itty bitty figure.
6'4 with shoes on
The Trex for Hammond collection is actually one of my favorites because it was great when I got it which was when it was released.
I hope they take what they’ve done with the Giga and remake the Rex with improvements.
yeah I hope they do as well
I am currently saving to buy my first Hammond Line; the Allosaurus. The Therozinosaurus is too expensive for me. I'm in the UK and its hard to get them for some reason
ah nice Allo is good choice it seems, ofc I'd take Carno over Allo
How did you make the the video picture?
I still have my camp creteacous spino but it’s really loose and low-key about to fall apart
heh
The spino fans are getting out of hand
lol
The Lost World came out in 1997 so it's 25th anniversary would be in 2027 meaning 2026 would be the most ideal for the Spinosaurus to release.
The 25th anniversary of The Lost World was in 2022
30
Actually there was a Hammond collection buck from the terrible fund raiser
The Camo Cretaceous Spino is the same as the one from JP3, it was taken off of Sorna by Manta Corp and that's why Biosyn didn't get it. Also The Lost World came out in 1997

the camp cretaceous spinosaurus is the same spinosaurus from jp3 so i dont know what you're talking about, it was confirmed by the director
ah thank u
If they make the spino, it should be a tad bit longer than the giga, because I'm pretty sure the camp Cretaceous spino was longer than the giga by maybe 3 feet
sounds about right
Great video man keep up the work 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
This hammond collection trex is beautiful
Genuinely what is Mattel waiting for? I don’t understand where in their business model they get the idea to develop HC scutosaurus before this 😂 maybe they’re waiting for rebirth (assuming the leaks of spino in it are true) to release it? Which would make sense
LOL yeah good point :L
Jp3 and cc spino is comfermed to be the same one
ah thank u
TLW was released in 1997
thank u
I honestly don’t like the trex from Hammond collection either, it’s overall look and just oddness makes me not want it
It's horrible I do not recommend it, maybe they will make another T-rex and get it right this time, like they did with the Giganatosaurus
Well I like the Hammond collection Trex Andthe seams don't bother me
I have the Hammond Collection, T-Rex, Concavenator, Blue, JP3 Raptor, Therzinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Carnotaurus, Allosaurus
Wow very nice- do u have them displayed?
@@TriassicIceman I have them all out of box. But yes. They are displayed.
my favorite JP dino and there’s still not a super colossal version of it either 😢. Like Mattel’s remake of the Kenner Red Rex, hope they re-do the animatronic Spino from JP3?

I didn’t watch the full video but what is the bad news for the Hammond collection spinosaurus
Bruh TLW came out in 1997
heh my bad
Its alright
He yapped for the whole video where the toy
🤣
You’re making too much sense and mattel just doesn’t align with that. Well get more bullshit that’s not in the movies
LOL
the spino was indeed a male
thank u
This bro complains too much
2:00 i didnt like dominion now you may have a diffrent opinion but l think it was just a movie about a corrupt company with a dinosaur fight at the end instead of revolving around the dinosaurs.
you are correct I believe
The Spinosaurus in JP3 was a guy, and his name is Snock
o_O
Apparently
