    Love it when there's not too many ingredients and a fairly quick cook. Will be trying this for sure but with a little less sriracha .

    Next time you season thighs, pull the skin side back and season it like you would the bottom side. Put skin back on a lightly season again. I have found that is a good way to get a balanced bite of meat.

    I do the boneless skinless thighs a lot. Very easy to grill and I like the dark meat. Drumsticks are my favorite tasting part of the chicken but can be a bit messy when eating.

    Yum! I think you were channeling grilled chicken! I suddenly decided to make some this afternoon on the way back from an afternoon fly fishing trip. Your grilled and glazed chicken thighs look great! I've been very happy with the Mr. Stubbs Chicken Spice Rub to get my chicken started on the grill. I need to try your glaze this spring!

    Hey man, been a while since I interacted (used to love popping in on your live streams and asking questions with the community; really miss those!). I got a Vortex for Christmas this year!!! I ran straight to your videos, because you're the one that made me want one. THIS is what I'll try first (as soon as my grate with the hole in the middle that I ordered gets here lol), cause that glaze sounds amazing. Hope all is well and you and yours have an awesome new year!

    Ry, you have some great recepies. I love my Weber Kettle and cook on it twice a week, however I am not a fan of the Vortex as eveything that drips of the meat ends up on the sides of the Kettle and eventually makes its way to the bottom making the cleanup next day a nightmare. I much prefer the Slow and Sear set up with the big drip tray in the bottom....much cleaner!

    I've been researching the vortex. I noticed some BBQ'ers turn the lid every 15 minutes so the vent doesn't remain over just one section of the food. Is this anything you would consider or suggest? It seems logical since the heat emanates from the center of the grill as opposed to one side with a 2 zone setup. Great recipe as always thanks!

      I’ve never noticed much difference when doing that since most hot vortex cooks are relatively short.

    Cooking With Ry - Question for ya, do you know where I can get a grate like yours but for my 26 inch Weber Kettle ?
    I'd really like to have one very similar but Cast Iron that fits my 26 inch. I can't seem to find either one.

    Ry I love your channel. I totally agree that the thighs are the filet mignon of chicken. I recently discovered a new gadget for the Weber kettle called the FireDial from Lavalock. You have a lot of kettle accessories. Have you had any experience with this product? I'd love to see if this is worth adding to my kettle arsenal. I haven't seen many videos with this on a kettle but it seems quite popular with Weber smokey mountain owners. Keep your videos coming Ry. It's wonderful to see how you have grown your channel. I'm totally jealous that you were gifted the line star grillz offset. So good to see you doing well after that stroke. Take care of yourself.

    Bone in thighs are EASY on the Weber. Save your money and pass on the Vortex. It's not needed, get a good flame going and sear both sides of the chicken and set to indirect for the finish.

    • @CookingWithRy
      @CookingWithRy  Год назад +3

      I’ve done it many different ways. Baskets. No baskets. Vortex. I find the Vortex gives the best results along with being versatile in use for different cooking methods.

      Sometimes things aren't "needed" but they enhance the overall experience and end result. The vortex ensures an even heat throughout the grill.
