    I think your spreadsheet is a fabulous starting point and I'm very happy to have found your technique and will put it to good use for my eBay and Etsy stores. Those who can't afford the software and wish to do it manually in a spreadsheet might benefit from two bits of advice. One, rather than color code each line as you're going along which is very time-consuming, wait till you input it all the numbers, then sort the whole table by Total Competitors. Lastly color code entire groups/rows of low or high numbers accordingly all at once. Another way to do this is learn about conditional formatting. There is a button at the top where you can set parameters for the cell and if the number inputted is higher or lower than whatever number you use as cutoff, the cell will automatically color code as red, green, orange, or whatever color you want. You then copy that formatting to all the cells under Total Competitors. For those who know spreadsheets, this will be a huge time saver. Other than that, excellent video. Can't thank you enough for sharing!

      Hi Lilly,
      Yes, you're right! This is a great idea and will definitely be the best solution for getting this process done. I was just trying to get straight to the point in this video demonstration so that people could understand the concept of how to label their competition. I could have included your method as well, but of course it would have taken more time to do. Thanks for your input as your information is very helpful! :-)

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  6 лет назад +3

      Hi,
      Yes, the software has the Google Adwords Keyword Planner data already built into it, so this will show you the search demand according to Google which is the MOST POWERFUL and MOST-USED search engine on the planet. So getting this data from Google is very valuable, especially if your listings show up on the first page of Google, you will know approximately how much traffic or views you will get for each listing. So again, the software DOES have the "search demand" from Google which is VERY IMPORTANT data.

      and i think here is the answer for your question
      ______ yes you are right, it is VERY IMPORTANT that we also go by the amount of "SEARCH VOLUME", that's why the software that is mentioned in this video shows you the EXACT Google Adwords Keyword Planner data "GAKP" for a monthly search volume. Gathering the keywords directly from the eBay search engine is just a starting point because eBay is telling us that these keywords have been searched a great amount of times, then the next step is to find the Google Search Volume or the "GAKP" monthly search volume. All of this is included in the software. You can even select your own country locations as well. The software also goes into MUCH DEEPER competition analysis to show you the TOP-RANKING competitors and it gives you insights about them in more detail on the second form of the software. _______

      Hi, to be honest, I actually used the software to do this because it would be too much time to do it manually every time to collect each piece of data for each keyword. I was just giving the idea in this video of where my data was coming from. Collecting each keyword suggestion from the eBay search engine is a very QUICK & EASY thing to do using eBay Keyword Sniper Pro......Don't get me wrong, you can still do it manually (or by hand), but copying it directly from the eBay search engine, most-likely isn't that easy to do.

      One option you could do is load Windows onto your Mac. You can RUclips search how to do it...it isn't hard to do. Then you will have the best of both worlds on your Mac. I did it on my Macbook Pro and love being able to choose.

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  5 лет назад

      Hi Maxine, yes you can still get the software to run on a Mac as Eric has mentioned (thanks for your response Eric). You could use Bootcamp to run Windows and then run the software. I hear that it's actually quite EASY to do. And YES, eBay Keyword Sniper Pro does BOTH "broad match" & "exact match" to find the keywords competition as well. The software does these steps SUPER FAST! It also analyzes the TOP ranking competitors in positions 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, & 60 on the first page of eBay search results to give you an even deeper analysis of the TOP-ranking competitors.

    Great tutorial!
    One question... Do you repeat the title in the description section of the listing?

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  6 лет назад +4

      Hi Brian,
      When you find the HOT item & keyword, you would then find the supplier, put up the listing using the keywords in the TITLE, DESCRIPTION (at least 2-3 times), the H1 or H2 tags, and in the image files to rank in Google images as well. You can get traffic from both GOOGLE & EBAY if you put the keyword in these places. Hope this helps to answer your question. I will be posting more videos soon to show how to use the winning keywords in your titles, descriptions, images, etc.

    For the green section how do we know how many people are searching for this keywords? Sorry new at this

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Emma, the software also has the "Google Adwords Keyword Planner" data that shows you the "Global Monthly Search Volume" and the "Local Monthly Search Volume" for multiple countries. This will reveal how high or low the search demand is for each keyword on your list. If you want to find out the exact Google search volume, then head over to the google adwords keyword planner tool to see for yourself, but again, it is more time-consuming without the software because the software does all of these steps for you INSTANTLY.

    Here's my question: What good is a keyword with little or no competition if it does not apply to your product? In your example of the flash drive, one of the keyword tails was "flash drive 64tb". There was 0 competitors, but that would probably be because there is no such thing as a 64 TeraByte flash drive! Or, if "flash drive 128gb" was low competition, but you don't have a 128gb flash drive to offer, why would you use that as a keyword?

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  5 лет назад +4

      Hi Brian, I think a better way of looking at it is to say that maybe you should consider looking for suppliers for specific products that are in demand if you don't already have them to sell. You wouldn't want to limit yourself when you can continue finding products that are in demand, start looking for suppliers, then begin selling those products. You would then use the relevant keywords to list those products that you have gotten from the suppliers.
      If "flash drive 64tb" was one of the keywords generated by eBay, then it's because its the way that many people have searched for it. Even though it may not exist, some believe it does, which means that you can still leverage these kinds of keywords by putting them in the page (secretly, cough cough...if you're smart ;-D) just to get those people to your listing, but then have similar products that they would still be interested in so that they could still end up purchasing something else that you have.
      If you don't have a "128gb flash drive to offer", then why wouldn't you go out and look for the supplier to begin selling it if it was in high demand? You're going to have to use some common sense if you want to succeed on eBay as a seller.
      The purpose of the software or even following the steps out-lined in this video, was to show you ways to find what is in DEMAND and then how to place yourself in front of these people who are searching for these products (using the keywords of course).

  • @thisjustin4864

    When buyers search on eBay they don't use direct quotes... usually, so how optimal is the strategy when the results will almost always be broad for the buyer?? Thanks for you answer

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  7 лет назад +3

      Yes, you are absolutely correct, but you as a seller should use the quotes to find your competition, because using broad match will only reveal competitors who aren't truly targeted for the specific keyword phrase. You need to find who your REAL competitors are by using the quotes. The broad match competitors will show up because eBay feels that they're close enough to a keyword phrase, but if you use the EXACT MATCH keywords in your titles, descriptions, images, & meta tags, then eBay will rank you higher than those broad match competitors because they aren't truly targeted for that particular phrase. You need to know who is targeting the EXACT MATCH to know who your REAL competitors are. You're a SELLER, NOT a BUYER, so you need to use the search engine to find your competition & this is the only way to do so.

    • @thisjustin4864
      @thisjustin4864 7 лет назад +1

      eBay Sales Mastery thank you for the explanation, I was told by a few ebayers (successful ones)... that using meta tags in the images is no longer favored or necessary to ranked in eBay search, so they don't bother changing it anymore.. is this true?

    • @eBaySalesMastery
      @eBaySalesMastery  7 лет назад +1

      Yes that's true, but those sellers that you asked this question to, obviously weren't keeping Google, Yahoo, Bing, & other search engines that could drive traffic, in mind. You still want traffic from those search engines too, don't you? Then make sure that your listings are as "OPTIMIZED" as possible for ALL search engines, NOT just eBay. If Google can read the image tags (the "alt tag" & "title tag" of the images), then guess what, you can also rank in Google images search, & if Google decides to put your eBay listing on the first page of their "SERP", then it's most-likely because they were able to crawl your images as well & know what keywords your eBay listing was about. So let's try to get TRAFFIC from Google, Yahoo, Bing, Aol, etc., as well.

    • @thisjustin4864

      eBay Sales Mastery thank you well said! makes perfect sense

    • @1986xuan
      @1986xuan 7 лет назад

      But here's the thing. If I use your tool to optimize my titles and after listing my product, how am I supposed to test and see for myself that it actually works? I would be able to see the effects of using your tool probably if I used advanced search engine and see that there is my product at the top of results. However, as a buyer, again, I wouldn't go to advanced search and type the keywords that are in the exact order and have them included in the title and description. Could you clarify that for me?

  • @kobe24montoya
    @kobe24montoya 6 лет назад

    This is amazing! The only question I had was: people won't be searching with an exact keyword. So if people type in a keyword phrase won't it come out as a broad match. How do you go about doing that? So for example if I had the flash drive 1tb. Do I also add more keywords to that or just more keywords to that or just a simple keyword phrase that I found
