Jill, I bought Peron tomato seeds from you and I have to tell you that my plants are LOADED with green tomatoes! I've only harvested two so far but several more starting to turn. I have never had any success with anything other than cherry tomatoes until this year. I've followed along with you for about a year now and started seeds when you did and planted outside the same time you did. I'm pretty new to gardening, but I'm so happy with the crop that is coming in this year so far! Thank you for all your guidance!
Yay! How exciting for you! Geez…..I was reading your comment and got excited and happy for you!! I understand how you feel…keep goin, plant what you like to eat. Then, get a garden going of all your favorite things…♥️ Bless you and your garden this year! Have fun!!
My mom's uncle always put his tomatoes upside down when he would pack bushels full to take to sell in town.. he did the same with the peaches. He said they stack easier and don't bruise as easy.
That's the best picking advice I have ave ever heard! Thank you, Jill. I never knew there was a difference between am or pm, clouds or sun! So, do you know if there can be a difference if you put a plant in the soil, whether you plant in the sun or cloud?
I would say it depends largely on weather conditions as well. Here in central AL it's a constant roller-coaster with sun/rain/cloudy/clear/storms etc that make the decision when to pick based on hour to hour weather forecast, especially in spring and early summer.
Excellent info! Thanks for sharing. 😁😁

Congrats to starting your journey. It’s rewarding
And frustrating but I wouldn’t give it up for any reason.
Looks good in your garden!

We have had weeks of cloudy days. I have lived here for decades and never experienced this kind of continued cloud cover.
Government's up to some shady shit, quite literally.

Can you show us how to make a homemade trellis that doesn't cost an arm and a leg
Good morning
Great info, I had no idea! Beautiful veggies!
👋🏻😃👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Good Morning
Good morning gal
very informative. Loved this video, "THE COOL OF THE MORNING" Thank you, have a blessed day.
Tomatoes should be picked in the afternoon . Let's some of the water dry a bit so the tomato is not watered down . They taste better .

I agree with you. I get good taste with less water content. I love me some home grown tomatoes!
