It's kind of surprising that more guys don't break their feet when they land so clean on the head
They have to land it perfectly or they do. Or their ankles and shins
It's not that surprising, these guys condition their feet and shins by kicking heavybags and pads every day for years. Their bone density is much higher than a normal person's, what surprises me is how no one in mma has died yet, considering how hard they hit each other sometimes.

1. Cause Bader was the champ. So ref gave him EVERY chance to make it through. Probably went on a little long, but I also understand and agree with title fights being an exception.
2. And yeah that would be illegal, but it doesn't really land. If anything it's a slightly glancing shot. Ref probably shoulda warned him, but happened at kind of an intense time haha.

It wasn't intentional, and it was also from the standing position face to face.... So it's totally legal.
Watch Cain Velasquez vs Dos Santos 1... Same thing, face to face position, Santos throws a looping punch and it clips Cain on the back of the head and essentially knocks him out!

Guy who won was probably the favorited fighter, because it was his homeland or because he had a better record. The one thing people in mma circles always shit on bellator about is having 85% of their card be either complete novices having their 1st-3rd fight or "feeding" fights where a guy who's 4-3 fights a guy who's like 5-1 and is from the country and/or state where the event is taking place. Maguy Berchel (French, 10-4-1) vs Lucie Bertaud (French, 2-2), Jean N'Doye (French, 8-1) vs Ciaran Clarke (Irish, 2-0), and William Gomis (French, 6-2) vs Dennis Logan (Irish, 4-4) will be examples on the upcoming card in Paris, as some French fighters are given under-matched opponents to appease the French crowd. Also, no way Kongo doesn't leave with a decision, if the fight is even somewhat close, but that's something else.

It's not called a judge. A judge is the person who scores each round and decides the winner should the fight go to decision. Have you ever heard the term "referee"? They have them in Boxing too. It's a pretty common term. The official inside the cage is the referee. Shouldn't you know that?

I really appreciate how the referee have Bader the time to recover. I wish all the referees operated this way.
They gave him time because he was acting intelligently. He wasn’t just balled up or in his back, he kept maneuvering. Most guys don’t, or they take way too long to.
I think it was more the 50 odd unanswered strikes against the fence then the initial head kick that ended Ryan Badar

My favorite is Pat Curran’s head kick on Marlon Sandro @ Bellator 48 in the Featherweight tournament final. Pat pumps out like 3 jabs with nothing behind them just to see Marlon bop and weave his head right into the head kick. It’s a must see if you haven’t seen it 🙌🏼

Adan Keresh second kick/knee on Kirill's head is clearly illegal and so is his final punch after the referee intervened. Bad refereeing that costs fights is probably the fighters most painful loss, and the worst timing blunder for a referee.

The higher the quality of striker, the more intelligent and conservative they tend to be... hence most folk get their most spectacular knockouts during their ascension... and often pitching 2 lower quality or developing strikers against each other is more likely to end in spectacular fashion (because risk = reward at that stage in their career)...
