Fine story telling by Bobo. Long time music head here in Cali, Texas is a major part of Hip Hop History! Besides Geto boys and UGK one of my fav Houston area groups is The Odd Squad!
Love B High's interviews. He ask all the questions that the fans want to hear about because he is also a fan of the music. A lot of down south history being told on these interviews and behind the scenes stories that were unheard-of because this was pre social media.
Good Interview Bobo Once again Dallas In The Building and yes DJ Snake Of Nemesis & Profile Records is a unsung hero of Southern HipHop Quint Black went to Lincoln High with me in South Dallas

Dallas are a solid Hip Hop background...Nemesis, Ron C, Fila Fresh Crew(The D.O.C.), Rod and Chris, Billy D.M.C. and so many others. Wednesday nights were jumping on KNON 89.3.
I remember when I first moved to Atlanta in early 2000s and guys had the travel luggage at MARTA full of bootlegs! They was eating cause I knew I spent with them before I found a bootleg cable hookup!

I gotta go with riding dirty because by the time Dirty money dropped, we here in Dallas had already heard most of the songs because they got leaked big time. You could tell they weren't completely finished, but still the same songs. Dirty money was cool though.
I really love Ridin Dirty but Dirty Money is when I felt like Pimp’s production was at it’s best at that time. Dirty Money was sonically better. Both classics tho. RIP Pimp
Stop trollin bro. Dirty Money is a classic in it's right, but Ridin Dirty was seriously monumental and pivotal when it came to Texas being represented in a major way on a major label. Jive spent money on the marketing for Dirty Money because of the success of Ridin Dirty. Sad part about it all, is that Pimp and Bun wasn't getting along with Jive when Riding Dirty was released, so Jive didn't spend any money on marketing for Ridin Dirty at all, and the album still sold through the roof without any commercial, no magazine ads, and not with 1 video made for that album. Also, Pimp and Bun wanted Ridin Dirty to be an album that represented the Houston TX underground music scene on a national level. One Day was already made by 3-2 (S.U.C), and Pimp asked him for the song, they left one of 3,s verses on it and the rest is history. 3 in the morning was paying homage to dj screw, and they put the Botany Boys in the intro with them to make a statement. Lil keke was suppose to be featured on One day as well, but something happened to where he didn't get to the studio to record his verse. Diamonds and Woods sampled. 380 Elbow Swang which was on Dj screw 3 in tha morning album. That Album put our underground scene on a national level with no skippable songs. That album is timeless.
I was late to UGK…I didn’t get into them until “Take It Off”, so Dirty Money gets way more burn in my system. I listened to their catalogue afterward, and in a way I’m glad did because Ridin’ Dirty is a completely different work. I can’t say Dirty Money is better than Ridin’ Dirty, but I won’t let anybody dis Dirty Money either. Lol
Get up off me is a Damn classic.....💯
Had to go back and play that again....mannn good times!!!

Dirty money was a ridin and club classic album.

#2 Ridin dirty!!!
The time I got my 🎯 I wanna be free Lil Sin feat UGK produced by Pimp C , Lil Sin and Sean wee 💪
Riding Dirty was more heartfelt and lyrically better, but riding dirty had them beats and vibe that you can pop in at anytime and get turned up

Bruh…. I said both albums are classic.
I don’t think those albums were made to be compared to the same goal or theme. Each are great for what they represented when they were made
