Here to remind you that Brian Wilson is a musical genius.
When my #GOATGuitarist Jeff Beck played guitar with him out of respect on a small club tour that meant something to me as how important Brian Wilson was, is, & will ALWAYS be. #Respect
He certainly had and earned the respect of The Wrecking Crew
He is the best to ever do it. Thank you Brian for writing so many beautiful songs
THE GENIUS. the beatles we're Nothing w/o George Martin, but the Beach Boys as a unit had the most brilliant leader in music history.
we......don't........need.......you
John’s a legit drummer, saw him play with The Beach Boys about ten years ago and he’s awesome!
The Beach Boys will always be one of my favorite bands... you can see how passionate John is about the band.
He talks out of the side of his mouth like Brian when he’s recounting what Brian said. Love it.
That explains the Beach Boys connection and music on Full House.
Anybody else remember the Full House episode where DJ won a contest to ride in a limo with the Beach Boys with one other person?
2nd prize was ride in a limo with the Beach Boys with TWO other people
And now has a book titled, "If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir."
Stamos sadly leaves out one of the most important parts of gigging with the Beach Boys and that is that he had already been playing (guitar and singing) with the famous Beach Boys/Surf Music cover band Papa Doo Run Run that was the house band of Disneyland for many years - AND before he was on ER or Full House or had any stardom. It was through Papa Doo Run Run, and their connections to Jan and Dean and The Beach Boys that he would eventually play with the Beach Boys.
Saw him play at Disneyland many times with Papa Do Run Run.
it's a better story without that
Who's here after his amazing Hot Ones episode, and he did end up writing the book, and had already decided what the title would be? So cool...
Double drumming in its self is really not an easy thing to do, having to identically coordinate your every hit with another person is extremely challenging.
1:13 that 12 string Gibson with mini humbuckers! I'm in LOVE
Stamos is legend
Stamos is so hyped up and seems to have a mix of Michael J Fox and Steven Tyler--I can't keep up with what he's saying but it's entertaining.
I LOVE YOU JOHN
To say this man ages like a fine wine is an understatement
Greeks age slower
Stamos still in good shape. Love the beach boys
How often does a person get to not only be apart of their favorite band but also tour with them but also be friends with the people in the band? I love John Stamos and The Beach Boys. It’s pretty cool that John has been friends with them for years.
Glen Campbell did, He toured with the Beach Boys playing Brian's part in 1965 Before his solo Country career
I'm 43 years old and grew up listening to the Beach Boys. To this day, I still love them!! Glad my parents raised me right!!
The best is when the beach boys would just randomly appear in the full house living room kind of standing around in the back and then break out a du-wap!
'Doo-wop'*
what a cool guy
Loved John
Its not the Beach Boys without Brian Wilson
I say without a Wilson brother
@@RunningP123456 agreed. It’s still not the same without Brian, but as long as any of the Wilson brothers are in the band, that makes it legit.
Good Vibrations is a cool song. I love the beginning
Good vibrations is an absolute masterpiece. That opening “I” is splendidly exotic.
That whole song is a masterpiece. Probably the greatest song of all time
John Is A Great Musician.
What a successful career
I enjoy this video seriously
After reading the book Chaos I tend to look at the BB and the brothers Wilson, especially Dennis in a different way. The late 60s in Cali was a very strange time indeed...
I love when good looking guys seems friendly and down to earth. It makes it easier for an ugly guy like me. Cheers from Sweden Stamos.
Awesome
Stamos hasn't aged in like forever?
Mike Love's traveling karaoke act that pay Brian Wilson to travel under the name is NOT the Beach Boys
His ego far outweighs his talent.
@@canadianroot that is oh so true
Cool
John is so damn good looking...
He looks great still
How they star being Friends
Todd in the Shadows brought me here
So awesome💯
Howard needs to have Mike Love back on. Brian won’t really do interviews but Mike could come back on. He was on 25 plus years ago. Aka Dr. Love
I second MV D comment. Stamos is a good looking Dude and good overall person.
I hope that I'm this youthful acting and looking when I'm 57
my favorite single Stamos played on was “Mouthful of Sores”
News to me!
This guy always looks so good !!...Rebecca Romijn what are you doing?!!
Obviously Jerry can do stuff John can't or won't
She wanted children, John didn't so they divorced
Landy let Stamos be around Brian Wilson for 2 reasons. The first is he has a hard on for celebrities and 2, Landy probably thought Stamos was going to bring a bunch of chicks with him and he would get some poon tang
Word...
Landy was everything Manson wished he could be.
Unrelated to the topic in the video but....both Howard and John are using those Neumann microphones and they sound SO FUCKING GOOD. Dang, what a pleasure to listen to, haha.
Didn’t even know Stamos played drums.
Kokomo
I for one ,cannot deal with John Stamos playing for Americas band the beach boys!!! I just cannot stomach it!!!
Mike love and john stamos teamed up to be creeps lmfao
❤
What?! Uncle Jessie is doing what?!
0:17 That's Lexington Jr. High school in Cypress. He's probably in 7th grade there. By 9th grade, he was the headlining act (a Magic show...). 'Sup John? Congrats on your success. We had mutual friends. We didn't know each other. I was a fucking troublemaker and probably hucked a few apples your way across the quad; even though you guys were all were a few years older... Anyways CONGRATS AGAIN DUDE! Your Episode on Entourage is AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC !!!! 🤣👍😎🤙✌
John Stamos looks young still.
Anybody know why Stamos was nowhere to be found on the 50th anniv tour?
He did some dates
🔥🔥👍👍
How the hell is he 58?!
The Beach Boys is as Americana as it gets. How far we have fallen since. 😢😢😢
How uncle Jessie still be 29?
Was he ever an official member or just a touring drummer?
Just a touring member.
So does Howard play guitar? He has real gear back there.
As if he needed another reason for all the ladies to want him.
Bring back robins news
Well Howard it all started when Dennis Wilson met Charles Manson.......
You mean how John started playing for MIKE
Has John Stamos joined them in early 80’s. If so what years?
85 I believe was the first one July 4th
@@jeraugst Awesome
The thing that most impresses me is that I clicked on a RUclips video that has the same upload date on it as my laptop's current date.
That never happens.
Nothing against Stamos, but Hal Blaine was the drumming brilliance for the Beach Boys, along with the rest of the studio musicians in the Wrecking Crew.
That always took their music down a peg compared with the writing and playing of many other groups of the day. It wasn’t them playing on the records.
They played the instruments on their records until the fifth album.
Hundreds of group used Hal Blaine in the studio. Watch " The Wrecking Crew" DVD. It will educate you.
@@tomjones5650 they also used Glen Campbell on guitar.
Dennis was also a hell of a drummer, but I do agree that Hal was the best drummer they ever had.
Here to remind everyone. That John cowsill is ALSO the drummer for the beach boys. he's been playing drums a lot longer than stamos here. So also give credit where it's due.
Baba booey
Blackie
Blackie 🖤 🏨
What’s with the Hawaii abduction and brain reprogramming ??? Can someone explain?
That was done by Landy, Brian's so called therapist
Watch the movie Love and Mercy and you’ll see what Landy did to Brian.
PEH DO FILE.
Dennis Wilson was important to The Beach Boys for his voice and image (He was the only one who was actually into surfing and he was also he hot guy/bad boy of the group, but he was not much of a drummer. I like him, but it's true. Sorry.
I have to agree
Non sense. Great powerful drummer with one of the best rimshots and strongest back beats out there. Maybe not super technical but for a kid to just pick up the sticks and go he was brilliant
Stamos was reason of Tate killings
Howard doesn’t ask funny questions anymore.
How he got the gig: he got famous and it made The Beach Boys look good. End of story
How can I block Howard Stern?
his book just came out lol i wonder why he said he wouldn't in this interview
👏
