Not many smashed up affordable EV's wrecks in Australia atm. I am one only that sincerely appreciates the R&D that you guys put into these boards and making the designs freely available?! The whole concept pushes my electronics & software capabilities going down such a rabbit hole! Love it! Maybe also why some car guys just want to hear; This part fits into here with this aftermarket component. Dumb it down a little for your target market and profit offering sales and services IMHO. I know we're still in baby stages ATM, but I see big things with the development of such devices. Australia needs a new automotive sector and I believe such a device could fill it's niche.
How does battery temp management work with this VCU? Is it done by the bms which communicates with the charging station to limit current if the battery gets warm?
Really good video thank you. Can you help me please. All I would like to do from outside the plug is how I can energize the contactor to allow me to have battery voltage 400vdc. Am I correct in saying that if I feed pin 2 with 12vdc + and pin 10 with 12vdc battery negative it will energize the EV contactor so I can access my cars 62kw battery.
I would suggest you at the very least read up on how the can side of the coms works and then proceed to process for precharging before going any further for your own safety.
