I'm a man and even when I'm in love I don't have daily calls. In general it's too much for me. I guess it depends on the person. Some people / couples prefer to be very close, some want more their own space.
We just don't think they're that big of a deal like deal breakers until they are. My ex had raised his voice at me in beginning and told me he's not good enough for me and hungup on me and I didn't think much of it. He always told me everyone says he's a good guy and everyone wants to date him. Long story short my relationship with him was him breaking up with me every 2 months when he's mad and yelling at me all the time and infront of my kids. Should've known better but it's lessons we learn

Why can’t people be genuine. Why do we have to deal with so much disorganization in meeting people and knowing them on a real level. This wasn’t the case back in my parent’s day. People were more genuine then. Now it’s like we have enabled a society of screwed up sensitive people that we need to decifer them with a book of instructions. Look out for this and watch that and don’t say this or that. It just makes someone not want to deal with anyone. It’s too much trouble to handle fakeness. Love is effortless. If I have to be on guard to date and know someone then I rather just self love and date myself every day. Too much bs nowadays. You work at it just to find out the other person wasn’t who you needed for your life’s journey. Very disappointing. Majority of the people who have divorced chose the person for the wrong reasons and time showed them exactly that. Stay single while you must. People are too complicated.

I remember when I was growing up that I thought I would just meet a man who had those honourable values, now just having someone turn up on time is such a challenge and then we are seen as too fussy for noticing that and then others say it’s a red flag. It can't be easy trying to date a woman who mourns her deceased husband and talks about him all the time. She was not ready to date and for him, she had the red flag as he saw he wanted a partner, not to be her therapist. She should not date yet at all but go out with her girlfriends and perhaps see a therapist so she could talk out her feelings of mourning.

I matched with a guy on a marriage matching app who lives in a different city which is 2 - 3 hours far from me. In the very early interactions he said come see me and I'll take you somewhere nice. The moment he said that I knew it was over and that he was not serious about me. He communicated in a poor style and at times it felt that he was talking to his guy friend, not a woman he's interested in marrying. I had an odd feeling that he was onto something. It transpired that I was correct about everything. After 1 or 2 short conversations, he bluntly started requesting sexual things and was so casual about it. That was the last drop, I blocked him immediately. Ladies, know your worth, listen to your gut feelings and do not ignore the red flags.
Totally agree and everybody made mistakes. In such case the gut feeling is not even needed.

I’m not sure if that holds true. Not for everyone. I had sex with my first husband 2 weeks in. We were together 11 years. My second husband and I had sex bc I only wanted sex and I said no relationship. Next thing you know. A year and a half later, we’re married. I have stayed with men, stood by that rule and still the second I thought I’d waited enough time, been on ten or more dates, met the family and thought sex would be ok. Turned out he fled right after. So for me the opposite is true.
This is why I don’t have dating apps and don’t bother anymore.
