Having gone through the wire twice on my corded trimmer, I finally decided to purchase this cordless trimmer! I watched your review before assembling and found it extremely helpful, so many thanks!
Can it be used without the middle section? Can the battery end be connected directly to the cutter end. I have the HB3.0 which cuts brilliantly but is a bit heavy and I wish they had a shorter version.
Hi Sillywinge7985 The short answer is no, I did try this when I first bought the device but the design of the trimmer will not work if you remove the middle section, its a shame becouse it would have been a great design feature to shorten the trimmer to allow better close trimming angles, regarding the the weight I dont find this an issues with this model of GTECH as it is thier lightest trimmer in the range but I know this might not be the case for everyone, Thanks for watching my video hope you enjoyed it thanks,
i have the hT30 basically the same as a LHT50 but it has straight pole instead of a split pole, these machines are so light to use they don't need to be shorter,
Hi it depends on how much you are using it, for me i have a medium garden and only use the trimmers maybe once a month sometimes longer so should get years out of the battery as for charging its all in the planning, hope you enjoyed the video thanks for watching,
Which Magazine Conclusion. “Worth a look for lighter tasks This cordless pole hedge trimmer has some great design features, and does a good job of cutting privet and laurel hedges, but it struggles slightly on thicker stems and branches. It's easy to reach the top of hedges, and easy to manoeuvre thanks to its lightweight design and adjustable head. However, it's let down by poor battery life.” For the majority of the rest, weight is their problem. LHT 50 Which tested Oct ‘23 lasted 30 mins, but a 4 hour charge time.
@@kissofjudaz Thanks for the additonal information much appreciated, I think once I've used the hegde trimmers for a while I will give an update on how the battery life holds up hopefully this will give a more true account of how this stands up after some long use, thanks,

Hi, thanks for the great video. Is it possible to use without the long extending pole for shorter bushes?
Hi Thanks for watching, The anwser to your question is no you cannot use this with out the extending poles I'm afriad,
Thanks for your reply@@MRCarybuck
Having spent an hour trying to fit the trimmer together without the extending pole, It’s a pity this is not made clear in the operating manual!
You need to put some light oil on the blades now and again particularly on the teeth to help the blades.

Charging time and battery life are the Achilles heels for this device.
