When I first saw this video, I couldn't believe it could have been Freddie. Roger wrote this song about his children and life in general, but it took on a whole new meaning in Freddie's interpretation. The band's manager arranged an animated video because of Freddie's seriously bad condition, but Freddie didn't want to say goodbye to the world as a pencil drawing. He wore cashmere underwear because he was always very cold due to the high weight loss, but he also wore the painted waistcote which is decorated with the images of his beloved cats, he loved them as his babies. Freddie had an extremely strong personality, he never regretted anything, he was never complaining about anything, he was living for the music. His illness could break him very late only, he gave up the fight when he could no longer sing, after Mother Love which he couldn't finish.

I’ve been waiting for you to do this one, thank you Psyche. It’s a hard watch I know, every time I watch it , I cry! Usually on the end note “I still love you”. This was Freddie’s last goodbye to his fans, who he adored. I believe Fred spent hours in makeup before the shoot, and they ended up making it back & white , there was no way of disguising how sick Fred looked. I think he was amazing to not hide away, and to carry on to the end, doing what he loved. I know he was in a lot of pain filming this and recording his last tracks. Thank you Freddie for the music. Another great reaction my friend Psyche. Lots of love ❤️

This wasn't intended for Freddie, it was written by and about Roger Taylor and his life and family, I think this was one of the last videos Freddie made although he didn't stop recording A Winters Tale was released after he'd passed away on one of the albums Queen released since, it'll be 30 years on the 24th November since he passed away, I remember it very well, as he'd finally put out the press release and died the day after going too print

I know everyone dwells on the fact that, not long after Freddie's passing, they found an effective treatment which would've enabled him to live longer... But, I believe that things (the Big Things) always happen a certain way for a reason. Freddie's illness/passing brought AIDs awareness and the importance of "safe practices" to the forefront in the public's consciousness. Being so LOVED, his passing also changed the general public's idea that AIDs was "just" a Gay person's disease (yes, of course Freddie was Gay/Bi... You know what I'm trying to say) and that it would never affect them. Freddie always joked that he didn't expect to live to be "old bones"... Maybe he'd had a premonition sometime in his life? (More likely, he was just aware of the risk he was at, since MANY of his friends/former lovers had already developed AIDs and passed away from it.) I just feel that Freddie was a Brightly Burning Star, never meant to be among the "mere mortals" for very long. Peter Freestone said that, because Fred had been in physical PAIN for so long (for five years, since 1986)... that, when Freddie finally passed, he was just GRATEFUL that Fred wasn't in pain anymore.

I try to watch this video every time a reactor reacts to it. I read in the comments somewhere along the line that Freddie had many layers of clothes on.... for two reasons: One, so he didn't look so thin and two, in an attempt to keep the weight of his clothes from hanging on his skin/his body because he was in so much pain. RIP, Freddie.... you are so very loved and you will be forever. Thanks for your reaction... It was nice sharing this tender moment with you. Take care and be well. Peace.

Thank you for reacting to this video. Hard to get through watching this video without tearing up. I’m glad they made this video in black and white so that Freddie’s illness isn’t so pronounced. But as I’m sure you know, the making of this video is out there and it’s in color and it’s extremely heartbreaking. That is when you actually see Freddie struggling to walk, and you see how sick he truly is. But that doesn’t matter to him, he is still so incredibly brave and strong even though he can barely stand up.
The guitar solo in this video gets me every time. Brian May is phenomenal here! And as you know Roger Taylor wrote this beautiful song. I also love hearing Roger Taylor and Brian May’s poignant vocals in “No One But You” which of course was dedicated to Freddie. Now that song left me speechless the first time I heard it!

Every time I see this video I am crying. Freddie saying Goodbye to us. His brothers surrounding him, supporting him with this beautiful song and the very end, Brian May smiles, looking at us as if he knows how hard it is for us to watch but letting us know it will be ok.

I'm glad I could watch your reaction to this beautiful song, you managed to hold it together quite well but I have a sneaking suspicion you had yourself a good cry once you turned off your camera. I honestly don't think I'll ever watch it again myself, it's just too painful. It's crazy how much love you can feel for a person you've never actually met but he's been a part of my life for 46 years and I miss him terribly. 💔

He went on sining in the studio - bits and pieces that he was given - and after he died they made the album "Made in Heaven" - with all this bits and pieces . He never returned to sing the last verse og Mothelove - so Brian sings that.

What a beautiful reaction to a beautiful yet heartbreaking song/video.
Freddie was one in a lifetime, and I teach my children to listen to music from all areas of music including ones I don’t particularly like because I feel you have to be able to appreciate what music was and is, both my children love Queen, love Michael Jackson, UB40, the righteous brothers, Bob Marley as well as Westlife, Ed Sheeran Alec Benjamin and Eminem and the love them all.
