thank you sir for this video... i am a small time gardener from Philippines and I have been looking for videos on how to propagate eugenia plant since last year, only this time I found your video! Salamat...
Hi Sir! Thank you so much for sharing how to propagate Eugenia plant. I have only one of it and will now propagate it. Thanks a lot..God bless...I will join😉
It is cutting mix, composed mainly of coarse sand plus a bit of peat to improve water holding capacity. You can substitute this with fine river sand (make sure it is not salty) plus a bit of compost. All the best!
Will the stem have roots without rooting hormone? If we put the stem directly in soil in a shaded place without mini green house because here it's a tropical climate.
Yes, for the easy-to-root cuttings like cacti and succulents. But for those which are difficult to root, the rooting hormone and the mini greenhouse will greatly improve their chances of rooting. Cheers!

Subbed! thanks for this bossing, cheers from New Zealand. Sana matuto po ako ng pagbobonsai.
Please do check my video on bonsai.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful guide sir :). May I know the other plant you mentioned sir (I believe the "Hibi" if I'm not mistaken)?
It's actually hebe (pronounced here in NZ as "hibi":))
been looking for this! Thank you sir! Btw, are you a filipino?
Opo :)
Sir can i use the long matured stem for propagation. Just like san francisco?
Sure. San Francisco is one of the plants that can be easily propagated from stem cuttings.
Sir what kind of soil you are using, or where where can buy for it?
It is cutting mix, composed mainly of coarse sand plus a bit of peat to improve water holding capacity. You can substitute this with fine river sand (make sure it is not salty) plus a bit of compost. All the best!
What's that liquid where u dipped the cuttings
It is rooting hormone which is auxin based.

sir Misael, pede ko po ba gawin yan sa peach tree? meron po kasi ung kapitbahay namin ng puno na un, pede ko po ba ibonsai un?
Can I put them under direct or full sunlight?
No, not under direct sunlight to avoid overheating inside the mini-greenhouse. Dappled light or partial shade should be okay.
How long did it take to root?
Hi. The eugenia cuttings started to form roots after one a half months. In two months time I have repotted the rooted cuttings.
no need to mist/water? if so then how frequent?
I moisten the medium about three times a week :)
Any advice on propagation from seed?
Hi Jason, please see my other video on propagation of tomatoes from seeds: ruclips.net/video/klXl1_2dnW0/видео.html
What is that liquid called where you dip the plant. What's that for.
That is auxin-based rooting hormone :)
What do you call those propagating boxes?
It is called mini-greenhouse or propagation tray.
Do I need to cover them even the weather here in pur country is tropical thank you
Yes, you need to cover it to establish a high relative humidity inside. But don't don't put it under the sun otherwise temperature will shoot up!
Is there an update on the Eugenias? What kind of success rate did you get. THANKS :)
It's close to 100%.
Awesome. Thanks for the reply :)
How long propagation rooting
Started rooting about a month from planting; repotted another month after
Hi Misael, I hope you make more videos for NZ. Could I suggest you leave the music off any future videos a common mistake made by many contributors.
Thanks, will do :)
The background music is too loud.
Pwede ba sir na dip sa honey instead?
Honey, as far as I know, is used more as an anti-fungal ingredient rather than as a root promoter.
Thank you sir, I’ve been searching for this. What did you call po yong para dip. Hindi ko po maintindihan.
Did you mean the rooting hormone? It is auxin-based, specifically indole butyric acid.
