What will happen in future when the overwhelming majority of BTC is mined and is being HODLED for years in self-custody wallets? Will there be enough of an incentive for the miners due to low number of transactions and high cost of mining? I think this needs addressed as it could result in a lot of mining companies going bust...and difficulty making on chain BTC transactions! 😮

From my understanding, this is because XRP is the coin that will be used for trading in global markets. This is what is being set up and why so many banks and countries are involved. Currently banks/governments are not trading using digital currencies, although they will. Russia will begin using digital currency for international trade this September. Also then, Basically no need to convert currencies anymore: an institution can have dollars, another can have yen, but payment between the two will be XRP. So it has great global appeal. Although international trading on the massive level with digital currencies has not begun yet. But when countries fully adopt this, what system is in place to make it happen? Ripple. XRP will be currency basically. While Governments will use stablecoins or CBDCs to prop up their own currencies.
