@PrimordialGoated in expert wand of sparking can kill skeletron and if you upgrade to wand of frosting it can take you to queen bee mage weapons early gams exist and can function but they are still bad
Ye i'm not saying there isn't ANY magic weapon, i'm just bummed out there isn't any weapons which you can get 5 minutes into the world without any RNG involved. I liked WoS and WoF, used all of them. But they're not guaranteed, so you can't kill any enemies if you play purist mage
The zenith is not equivalent to these, it would be the meowmere or starwrath

@Vitoleuu I will get bored easily if i try to speedrun the game so i'm trying to take it slow in this playthrough, but don't worry I already beat skeletron also I'm in master mod.
@Lando_Calzonian I got it no problem within an hour of making my world the weird thing was it wasn’t even on the edge of the world it was closer to the center than the end.
Whip stacking should be a feature EXCLUSIVE to an accessory
Like how YoYo class have the Yo-yo Bag
Summoners should get something similar
@VSaranara If thats the case I'd hope it also makes it easier to do at the cost of a slight nerf, like a "Whipper's Glove" which swaps whips every few swings but perhaps nerfs the tag damage stacking.
@VSaranara why?? thats a conpletely pointless nerf that forced summoner to use an accessory. Whip cracking is NOT op i this is such a stupid idea.

I think it should come back without an accessory but also while removing the stacked tag damage, that way it's still viable with the buffs while not being overpowered like before but also while freeing up an accessory slot

Only had 1 alchemy table and I shimmered it, there are no other potion crafting station around other than the Alchemy Flask and it did have the reduced ingredient consumption

Please no, I swear theres a thunderstorm in my world about 80% of the time.
I would love a mod that lets you configure thunderstorms so you can change the damage, frequency of lightning spawning, and other stuff, that way you could choose between weak baby lightning to thunderstorms that nuke your world (and PC)

even without whip stacking the damage looks pretty insane, also having a variety of whips with different effects is nice because different whips excel at different things. all in all a pretty huge W for summoner imo

Funnily enough, the duke fishron whip was my direct suggestion to Red on twitter and me and him had a conversation about potential fish themed items when i suggested the idea of the whip to him

@yaniejames801 you can get it right at the start of your world. My routine was when I started a new character: make a nice plain grass surface close to ocean (having ocean pylone for faster access would be helpful too), placing a gnome down (if you have one) and just running left-right, waiting for spawn. That way I get them after like 30m irl time (an hour after creating a new world). Idk why it's so hard for other people tho, probably gnome helps a lot? IDK 😂
It's odd but I've been feeling that the skeleton miners have been dropping bone pickaxes with the light prefix more often.
i didn't realize foxparks was that rare. I got it while fighting the eater of worlds and it carried me through the fight.
The fact that you've gotten killed so many times by the lightning astounds me. I think I've died to it twice and once was intentional

It's funny because I had the opposite experience. I had 4 foxsparks, but couldn't get a cattiva. I stole them all, I guess.
i had the opposite happening in my Terraria world and had to wait for Cattiva to finally spawn 1 time and never again
This is an awesome playthrough I like how you explain your justifications with the reforges and stuff like that.
I havent played since Journey's End and came back for this update and its made me realize there is a lot of stuff I have encountered in this playthrough that came out in this most recent patch that I had no idea about. It is a much bigger update than i was expecting
i also cant believe you pronounce sanguine like it rhymes with linguini but I am going to do that starting now
I'm really glad i joined the stream it was really fun talking to you and it was my first ever real stream I've been in honestly it's pretty exciting to see my chats in this video for the first 13 minutes I'm in almost every point where chat can be seen and even two or three points you put in moments where you replied to my messages I'm also glad I could help you find digtoise and chillit with the information I had but all in all love the vid and thank you for making me feel special for a few minutes :)
The part about farming Pals is funny to me. Recently, while trying to play a full summoner, both Foxspark and Cattiva spawned super fast while I was building in the jungle, but the fox came first and then the cat 5 minutes later, lol.
Nice to see pocketpair giving re-logic some love in return, seriously an auto hellvator, something I wanted but never knew how it'd be implemented
I spent hours getting fox sparks and then when I did I got another one like a couple minutes after 💀

Fun watch! I highly recommend on your next summoner run you opt for the bundle of balloons paired with Chillet for boss fights. Being able to quadruple jump makes it viable for nearly every boss and is a fun different way to play. And opens another accessory slot for something else with the boots removed.

I saw a duo hardcore world get zapped out of existence from the lightning both people
I played day 1 with summoner and whilst exploring at the start i found a foxsparks but i was weaponless besides the copper shortsword and died after that i never saw one again

skeletron always applied slowness when he hits you? i fighted him and died because of that, i dont remember he doing that
slime staff drops from regular slimes as well, it was the first summon I got in like 15 seconds of making a new world
I did pre mech duke and got the electric eel and it melted the destroyer in SECONDS. I didn’t even have enough time to look at the health bar.
I'm not sure yet but I found it way easier to spot the pals after defeating a goblin invasion, not sure if it's a feature or a bug, but I've done it twice o test it out, seems to work

36:40 I love all the Pantera references that they put in the game. The devs who made Plantera were Pantera fans themselves and decided that all the music for the boss fight would be metal inspired by them too.
This guy got the Electric Eel FIRST try, while I had to kill duke 11 DAMN times to get it.
From what I've experienced reforging seems to be effected by how happy the goblin tinkerer is, not only for his prices but also your chance of getting good reforges (two different playthroughs, one journey one not, in the journey playthrough I left the goblin tinkerer in a hotel which he hated, and the other one I maxed his happiness, the journey mode guy it took hundreds of reforges on MOST of my weaapons...)
You can use the living loom as just a alternative to the regular loom

Too little too late, but I found a strategy for finding the pals a little easier. If you build a dirt and grass platform over your ocean and sit at the edge of the world it forces all enemy spawns to happen on screen. You can very quickly dispatch of any mobs taking up space and you’ll never miss the pals being on screen

16:02 bro when i first encountered the pal spawning i was so confused when i heard goblin music playing and cattiva appear on the rare creatures thing, i was fishing and also in hardmode so when i was about to go see what it was, the pal i think got killed by a pixie or something
honestly i think the plantera whip isnt really that great progression wise considering how annoying she is to farm anyway, and the fact that you can get morning star into the dark harvest

funny thing about that firesparks farm:
i just randomly got it when i went to the snow biome for the first time (i also kinda gotten all of the other pals that way), and i wasnt even trying to play summoner lmao
I commissioned a digtoise to dig straight down next to my ocean in hope of finding the shimmer easily, and well... he found it first. He got a good shiny bath and KEPT GOING only to be bested by some obsidian and then my shimmer was just trickled off at random outlets and pooled at the bottom. But hey, digtoise is a helpful fella. Very dedicated.
