  • It has been discovered that the stars and flowers that adorn the cloak of Our Lady of Guadalupe form a melody. Harpa Dei has made this melody their own, adapting it somewhat to the capacity of their voices. As text we have used some of the phrases from the dialogue between the Virgin Mary and the Indian Juan Diego, using the Nahuatl language itself, proper to the Aztecs:
    Virgin Mary:
I am the pure and ever Virgin Mary
The mother of the true God.
I desire that the House of my God be built for me here.
There I will hear your cries, there I will heal your pains.
    Juan Diego:
My Lady, my Noble Lady, my little girl
May I not distress your face and your heart
I will only go to fulfil your desire.
    Virgin Mary (in Spanish)
I am your compassionate Mother, yours and of all men who love me, who cry out to me, who seek me and trust in me.
Juan Diego (together with the Virgin Mary)
Those who seek you and trust in you.
We are grateful to Mr. Ojeda, the researcher who discovered this very special music.
