There not really audiophile. They have engineers that care about science and things that actually make a difference which is why all of there speakers aim for a flat response. Its amazing how people think of them for there headphones because most of there business is still speakers and thats what they are best at.
There is just so much joy and craftsmanship in this video. It made me smile all the way through. The level.of pride and commitment Focal puts into their products is downright amazing. Tres bien mes amis 🙏
Just received mine today I absolutely love them 👍🏻 the build quality is supreme, totally on top of any other wireless headphones I have, the Only one that is close in terms of build quality would be the B&Ws, however the sound quality is better on these Focals, and now these are my favorite,😀 well done Focal 👍🏻 well done

Congrats on making the headphone us audio nuts have been waiting for 🎉🎉. This product will outsell all your other models, be ready for high demand. One point not discussed in the video is the design change to allow the headphone ear cups to rotate for storage in a nice new flat case. This makes them truly portable. Glad to see Focal never misses a design detail! For the noise cancelling modes, I would even suggest a 4th mode just for conference calls, one annoyance with current Sony and Bose headphones is the strange sound of NC when using them for calls, one’s own voice seems strange and often to low so people talk loudly, the quality of the microphone for calls and wind cutting is another area to improve on existing BT headphones. Please add a special Conference Mode and you will make even non-audiophiles very happy.
Really interesting. Thanks for doing that. I listened to Focal Utopias years ago and was blown away. I got close to my first Focals earlier this year with the Elegia but ended up going down an IEM route. However, I'm going to try the Bathys🙂
I just purchased these Focals, I have too many wireless headphones to be mentioned, my current favorite is the amiron wireless by Beyerdynamic, this headphone is not noise cancelling though, and I do use it through USB mode, I have a focal system in my vehicle, those Flac speakers are a phenomenon sound so fantastic, and a Focal amplifier I'm a Focal fan fantastic products 👍🏻
I spent hours doing research on a good wireless ANC-quality headphones. Reviews by podcasts, forums, and the like. New to the channel, really enjoyed this and the review on the Bathy's. I was debating on the B&W PX8's and the Bathy's, I have made my choice on the Bathy's.. Oh, I subbed just now, great content guys!
Being a proud owner of several Focal speakers, like the Electra 907 Be 25th anniversary, and now a pair of Bathys, I would just recommend a few "burning" hours, because what you hear at the beginning, is nothing compared with the quality we get after that. Enjoy this new "gem" from Focal.
I have watched nearly 20 video reviews on these headphones. Over half of the reviewers don’t know how to pronounce the company name or the model name. They say “someone told me…” and still get it wrong. (How do you make a video review and not do the proper research on how to properly pronounce the company and model names? 🤔) This video makes it crystal clear how to actually pronounce both words with it being a tour of their French headquarters. Along with that, I’ve also watched reviews on 4-5 other brands/models and after over 30 videos I realized I’ve got to get my hands on these!
Just purchased the Bathys, extremely happy with them. At the hifi store, I was able to test the Celestee and Clear MG as well. The Clear MG in particular was absolutely beautiful, the craftsmanship was very similar to a luxury watch. And seeing how the Focal factory works, that vibe is reinforced. Looks like a Rolex shop! A lot of hi-fi, headphones look like headgear and look silly. I’m happy to see focal have a style to them and actually look really nice… until you put the two wires in them 😅. The fact that they finally went went wireless just makes sense! I’m excited to see what you guys think of them on the headphone show!

This is what ive been asking for for years. The Drop Panda had its go at it, and it’s not bad its just lacking in some areas, not to mention no noise cancelling, the only other option off the top of my head would the Nuraphones but theyre more like a gimmick rather than having a more Hifi sound
I must be dreaming because although I just ordered the Bathys Headphone after many weeks of looking at reviews, I have got them yet, but all the reviews appear to be from 2 years ago and that suggest these came out sometime around 2022. However, the dream is that I know for the past 4+ years I’ve been dealing with some serious/chronic back problems so I wasn’t even able to be in the headphone market. But ironically I had been buying headphones and earbuds at least several years prior to my back problems. Well before 2022 or so, but when I was heavily into headphones/earbuds, I dreamed about the Bathys headphones and the emphasis was on the grill like pattern on the cups and the LED logo in the center. So can someone tell me if the comments dated 2 years ago, is it possible the Bathys has been out years before 2022? Either way, so glad I ran into this behind the scenes documentary.👍🏽❤️🙏
What a great video, everything was amazing. I enjoyed watching Focal, not just as an audio company but as people working together to deliver high grade audio products. I am not too keen on the price, but I can definitely see why these blutooth headphones would cost around 800 USD; unlike other companies with unjustifiable prices (*cough Apple). What impresses me the most is that they fit a DAC inside the headphones, maybe we'll see more of that in the future.
Apples headphone was priced fairly for the build and low distortion driver its just that they chose to tune it too dark and too forgiving so there usual market wouldn't find it to aggressive sounding on there crap rap music.
Will you compare these with T+A Solitaire T and Mark Levinson 5909? That would be fair battle of "Portble hifi anc headphones" Hope to hear all three in upcoming show here in Poland at the end of Oct.
I enjoy these ideas to be put into the Focal Noise cancelation Headphone since I have really wanted one for regular use of a higher quality. Here are my questions and concerns. First how much battery compared to Sony Wh-1000xm4/5 when on? How good of range is compared to Sony wh-1000xm4/5 on nit disconnecting? How good is the microphone. When put into cord mode with that DAC and noise cancelation mode on could you use it for example on the Fiio M17 since the Sony Wh-1000xm4 headphones have processing issues when noise cancelation is on while using the Fiio M17 with louder like static sounds when switching songs and has massively loud pop sounds when going off idle after a puase of about 20 seconds when put into Fiio Music App mode? For instance the Focal Clear work fine with this device since it has no processing competing issues with the Fiio M17 chips and has a lower sound static when changing songs. Will the transparency mode be better than Sony wh-1000xm4/5? Finally, will it work with Sony 360 reality audio or dolby atoms like Apple Music is doing and would you be able to calibrate it properly like an app separately to your ears and noise cancelation like the higher pitched sounds Sony has been having. Also the same if able to use a calibration to dolby atoms or 360 reality audio separately in another way. The last one could be the question for the Google 36o audio too or just not work since tou may need company info to do it, but seems you like tough projects and hope these questions can help with any issues not addressed. Thanks for anyone reading.
If we're going to talk high end bluetooth headphones, especially at $800, you might as well compare them to the Bang and Olufsen H95. I personally think the Focals will sound better, but since it's got a more "consumer" sound, I feel the H95 could give it a run for it's money. Hell, throw in the new Bowers & Wilkins Px8's and we'll have a three way rumble!

As a engineer I do recognize that the Frenches are way ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to design. Maybe it is just my taste, but seems that it is kind all spread their industry.
I have had the Celestee now for three months. They are beautiful headphones and look very elegant. They shine in the sun beautifully. They have a decent amount of bass, but it took a while for my brain to adjust. Spend at least one month of casual listening or two weeks of intense listening to see if you like the sound signature. Personally, I am moving towards the Bathys because it seems to be the perfect product for my use case. I spend a lot of my time commuting and I want a an ANC headphone with good quality; I've owned the Sony WH100xm4 and they were decent. Great NC ofc but the sound was just awful. The sound was muddied with poor quality bass and the mids sounded very distant. The highs also were disappointing. I can't wait to get my hands on these new headphones.
@@jesusb9562 I use the radiance to commute on the train, but I would have gotten these if they were available. I am little worried about them being more bassy than the radiance. If they said the same tuning then they would have sold me.
@@MichaelAW17 the problem for me is the carrying case which is too big. I also want ANC. I'll wait till these are available on Amazon because their return policy is good.
Any idea how these hahaha people with glasses (thick frames). The nice thing is the AirPods Max adjust the fr if there is a seal breakage so it sounds consistent. My hifi glasses are not ones I would wear while traveling 😅
What's an amazing company and a beautiful place.I do own the order Utopia and is my favorite to goes with the Auris audio HA2 FS Tubes amplifier.If they can make Wireless Utopia that sound as good as a wire one.I will definitely try to get one when is release.Thanks
I have one. I can say that the build quality is exceptional and the sound is exceptional when using DAC. For me, it just works, and works really well... However, there's a strange decision that was made to have the best codec it supports be APTx adaptive. That's by far not the highest res codec, but worse, there's low probability that an android user purchasing this headphone will randomly have a phone that supports it, the major manufacturers don't include it even in their flagship phones.

I have radiance and it is bassy but not overwhelming. If it is a little more bassy thats fine, but if they start suffering in the mids and highs for it I would not be happy.
These are great but what I really NEED to know is when are they going to make replacement pads for the Elegia available? Also, can we get a extended warranty on the Elex? Merci
They never will. This is a downside no one seems to talk about with expensive headphones these days the fact that almost none come with spare pads and also that they arent available to purchase. I would rather have spare pads than a stupid XLR cable that isn't necessary.
The wireless I've heard come closest to sounding good was made by Audeze. I'd be very curious as to how much better(or worse?) Focal has done. I quite like my Radiance for a daily driver, and if the Bathys is reasonably comparable, that'd be fantastic.
Nice video. I recently bought the Focal Clear (which is now sold for under 1000 Euro) and with a DragonFly Blue in the phone playing Qobuz it is really a "whauw" experience. I am curious to hear how this Bathys stacks up. PS: Great to see a lady in this otherwise male dominated world.

i own focal headphones and love the sound but the clamp force and earpad size and design are not ideal for a good seal for noise canceling headphones. For me the earpads are a bit to small to be completely over ear and and too large to be on ear and the clamp force is a bit stronger towards the bottom.. i don't have this problem with any other brand of headphone just focal i hope these finally get a redesign since focal uses almost the exact same headband for all of the higher end headphones
Okay….. I think that right now, from an intuitive perspective, these will be my last BT headphone purchase especially if they maintain the Focal dynamics.

@@MichaelAW17 the problem for me is the carrying case which is too big. I also want ANC. I'll wait till these are available on Amazon because their return policy is good.
The new model has folding ear cups, and a flat case. They didn’t mention this but the video shows it clearly. These look truly portable.
I swear if focal does a wirelessgaming headset with their drivers it would be a instabuy for me , love my focal monitors!

Any idea how these hahaha people with glasses (thick frames). The nice thing is the AirPods Max adjust the fr if there is a seal breakage so it sounds consistent. My hifi glasses are not ones I would wear while traveling 😅
What's an amazing company and a beautiful place.I do own the order Utopia and is my favorite to goes with the Auris audio HA2 FS Tubes amplifier.If they can make Wireless Utopia that sound as good as a wire one.I will definitely try to get one when is release.Thanks
I have one. I can say that the build quality is exceptional and the sound is exceptional when using DAC. For me, it just works, and works really well... However, there's a strange decision that was made to have the best codec it supports be APTx adaptive. That's by far not the highest res codec, but worse, there's low probability that an android user purchasing this headphone will randomly have a phone that supports it, the major manufacturers don't include it even in their flagship phones.

I have radiance and it is bassy but not overwhelming. If it is a little more bassy thats fine, but if they start suffering in the mids and highs for it I would not be happy.

They never will. This is a downside no one seems to talk about with expensive headphones these days the fact that almost none come with spare pads and also that they arent available to purchase. I would rather have spare pads than a stupid XLR cable that isn't necessary.
The wireless I've heard come closest to sounding good was made by Audeze. I'd be very curious as to how much better(or worse?) Focal has done. I quite like my Radiance for a daily driver, and if the Bathys is reasonably comparable, that'd be fantastic.

I recently bought the Focal Clear (which is now sold for under 1000 Euro) and with a DragonFly Blue in the phone playing Qobuz it is really a "whauw" experience. I am curious to hear how this Bathys stacks up.

The closed backs are nowhere near as good as clear sadly, i own clear and celestee. Not to say the closed backs arent great!

If it were less bulkier and priced around 450-500 bucks, I would have considered this over Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless.
Man. if it was possible to run them passively with the audio cable I would buy a pair.
You can run them with a 3.5mm cable, but they are still 'on' when you do that.
@@TheHEADPHONEShow which makes it a bit annoying. Would love to use them as my headphones at my desk passively, and then just connect them to my phone on the go. I'd hate to constantly drain and charge the battery for stationary use.
i own focal headphones and love the sound but the clamp force and earpad size and design are not ideal for a good seal for noise canceling headphones. For me the earpads are a bit to small to be completely over ear and and too large to be on ear and the clamp force is a bit stronger towards the bottom.. i don't have this problem with any other brand of headphone just focal i hope these finally get a redesign since focal uses almost the exact same headband for all of the higher end headphones
