- Wow, what an awesome surprise! This is a to the song Jack by the country music artist Hardy. Alexis was hyped to bring this one for Burch, she was almost giddy. Song is told from the perspective of the whisky Jack Daniels talking to person. Make no doubt about it, this is a straight up rock / metal song. He may be known as a country artist but there is metal in his blood.

This song is great. First time hearing it. The sound level increases as it would after more and more jacks.
"HARDY teamed up with A Day To Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon for a heavy, rock-infused country duet titled “RADIO SONG.”
--
"RADIO SONG” was co-written by HARDY (whose real name is Michael Hardy), alongside McKinnon, Zach Abend, Nick Donley, Wage War’s Cody Quistad. The tune, co-produced by McKinnon, Quistad and Andrew Wade, begins with HARDY singing about girls, trucks and dirt roads, otherwise known as stereotypical topics mentioned in most country songs, before the song shocks listeners as it erupts into a heavy rock sound at the end of the chorus, which also features McKinnon’s signature growls."
Hes become one of my absolute favorites fast!
MORE HARDY!!!
For a minute I thought you were talking about me, oh well. 😂🤣😁
Great reaction. Seen Hardy live 4 times in 3 years and next month at Rock the South will be 5. I have some videos of him opening up in 2023 with Sold Out a couple days after he released it. Fast forward a couple months he was in Tuscaloosa with Lainey and I got to see them perform wait in the truck together live. I will get around to uploading the videos eventually. But love the reaction!
Love hardy and his versatility...hes awesome and the drummer rocked❤
They all were bangin! Alexis brought the heat on that one 😊
Yeah but there's something special with the drummer
The drummer is Harry Miree, he has a RUclips channel
Most fun i have had in 40 years . Thanks guys.
So far my favorite Hardy song has been "Rednecker''
listen to mockingbird and the crow
You guys are hands down the best music reaction channel on RUclips!
Wow, thank you Mike! Very kind
His best one is ‘i aint in the country no more’ no cuss words
That is one of my favorites on the album. Yes, that is his band. He does have individual videos showing each of the instrumental parts to this song. I watched an interview with one of his guitar players and they are loving playing the rock stuff. I really like the trasition from country to rock on the song "mockingbird and THE CROW.
Hi. Where can I find individual videos of the instrumental parts of this song? It's one of my favorite songs! And thank you!!
@@debrasmith2747 go to Hardy's RUclips page and click on videos, then scroll down to about 10 months ago and you will see videos for "Jack" - and there will be one each for Rhett Smith, Harry Miree and Justin Loose.
@@stacy4823 Thanks so much!!
Omg he is so awesome I’ll absolutely love it. Thank you so much for this reaction to the song. Love your channel keep up the great work.
Very kind Gloria and thank you. I have become a big fan of his for sure. First, wait in the truck and now this. Just awesome.
Love HARDY! Great reaction to JACK 😈. Can’t wait for yall to do more HARDY. Been listening to him since 2018. And yes, that’s his regular band. They’re awesome. I’m actually in Myrtle Beach just to see him for the CCMF today 😈
Metal country works for me.
Jack & Jim both tried to kill me back in '83.
So, I started hanging out with Jameson and Captain Morgan. 🤪
Notice the nuance in the black and white, Hardy being off-center in the spotlight, also in the light and the shadows. The destruction….
The descent into alcoholism… lyrically profound! Hardy is a master.
And this is Hardy’s band, country or rock.
You gotta bring him "Mockingbird and the Crow"!!!! It's a must. Awesome reaction.
Oh man, I was a Beam man as well, but I enjoyed mixing it with Sprite. Use to buy those big 64 ounce refillable cups from our local Tom Thumb, and use them to mix our drinks. A couple of those on Friday or Saturday night and life becomes clear...lol
I didn't mix. One day I will finish that story about me, the Raiden hat and the big 1.75l bottle of Jim. Wheeeew, thank god we didn't have cell phones :)
@@flickeringboxofficial tell me about. Hell, the things I did sober were bad enough, but under the influence, I'm lucky the jail nor the hospital were never involved. I know you grew up in south Florida, and I grew up in the panhandle, but I have a feeling we had a lot of similar experiences.
a group that comes to mind that has a country sounding vocalist but very much a rock group , from the eighties, jason and the scorchers, have you heard of them, one of my fav
songs of theirs is " when the angels cry"
I do bobbyj! Wow, that is a band I have not heard of in a loooooong time. Adding to the list now my friend.
The songs i like from Hardy are "Wait In The Truck", "Rockstar" and "Sold Out"
I saw him perform once and it was st the royal rumble last year in San Antonio he was there snd he performed
Thanks for introducing me to Hardy. I did not expect this from you. I am so surprised.
Love this song. It’s been in my Spotify favorites list since late last year. I didn’t know it was on an album, though. It was a single on Spotify and I didn’t dig into it.
I ain’t in the country no more!!!!!! Perfect blend of genres.
Alexis & Burch - u should react to songs both haven't heard. Recommendations assuming never heard them; Mr. Saxobeat-Alexandra Stan , Freak on a Leash- Korn, Clairo-Bags. 🎦
Great vid! Do Fly High Michelle by Enuff Z’Nuff next!
Great suggestion! Added to the list Ekul
“Sold out” is an amazing song
The Crow and the mockingbird is a great HARDY Song great Artist
What a jam🤟 Hadn't heard that one before
The music video for the Mocking Bird & Crow song is AWESOME!!! You must check it out. I can’t tell you the last time I bought an entire album, cd or downloaded the Entire album….But have to get this one.
Damn Alexis…you got me intrigued with Hardy now.
The Warning are currently my favorite band but I’m definitely checking out more from Hardy. Thank You to both of you for the great content!
What do you think? I just discovered Hine few months ago and he's quickly became a favorite.
Great selection! This tune rocks!! Love the lyrics when he sings about the blonde hair chick.
your so pretty omgggggg
love the reaction too
One of the greatest song on that album
You so need to do the mockingbird and the crow. I absolutely love hardy.
not a county fan here...but u have to do outlaws and outsiders by cory marks or with Ivan moody , travis tritt and mick mars...such a geart song
I hope I’m not to late in reacting to this reaction. I just wanted to leave my unbiased opinion of Alexis! She’s SOOOOOOO SMART. I was reacting to a song that was played to her, from Heart (Alone). And she picks up RIGHT AWAY things that have taken me years to pick up on. It was a ABSOLUTE CRIME what they did to Miss Wilson. Having said that, there isn’t one song she has reacted to that she hasn’t picked up something about that song, band members, or lyrical meaning. Esp older Rock songs SHES NEVER EVEN HEARS OF. So to you Alexis, Thank you just for being you!! You are fantastic. And I can tell a very strong woman!! And a joy to watch. You make these videos, I’ve probably seen 100 times, awesome to re-watch💙☀️🙏
I find Hardy to be a phenomenal songwriter/storyteller - I always love the little word twists or poetical phrasing I find in his songs. Would recommend "A Rock", "Signed. Sober You", or for a tug on the heartstrings, "Give Heaven Some Hell". For straight up fun with a bit of a poke at those trying to one-up each other on how country they are, try "Rednecker" (or "The Worst Country Song Of All Time" with Brantley Gilbert). If you end up doing "the mockingbird & THE CROW" I'd really recommend the lyric video; later he released a Claymation video for it as well, and while I enjoyed that, I think for a first time listen you can get caught up in the visuals and miss the impact of the lyrics, but that's just my personal opinion. I tend to lean more country, but I love his rock stuff too - have yet to hear a song of his I don't like.
I had the same reaction, too short, but it jams! 🤘
I loved the excitement she had when it was getting close to rocking out. If you haven't yet, ya'll should check out Seether "Country Song"
I have had nights drinking Jack, that have mirrored this song. They started off mellow, but as the night went on, like this song, things just got more chaotic. This song is easy to resonate with from anyone who’s had those nights. Even more so for those that have or do suffer from alcoholism. Safe to say one of the best rock songs I’ve heard. I love when artists lyrics in a song make great stories. If that makes sense. Like I can close my eyes, listen to the lyrics and visualize a scene or memory of something I’ve gone through.
after this ive got to go see what other hardy songs youve listened to id like to see burch react to mocking bird and the crow, a rock, and sold out
I figured out the meaning/meanings of the lyrics pretty quick first time I heard this. Usually not the case. But Jack/coke has been talked about since we were in 9th grade in these here parts, git r done. (Purple passion was talked about a lot in the late 80s, i think they just liked saying it)
The song Mockingbird and the Crow is a great song also, but Alexis is right Soldout is just as good if not better than Jack. Thanks for doing some Hardy he is such a great writer and entertainer.
I have become a fan and can't wait till the next time he comes to Central Florida
How true
This is gonna be great when it hits a live album.
Listen to I Ain’t In the Country No More in this album it’s like Jack when it comes to the profanity! That song deserves so much more credit
Please do Radio Song on RUclips. You absolutely can do it without blurring/bleeping it out. Many other reactors have done it. Or at least do “sold out” if you don’t do radio song
Hardy ❤❤❤❤
All the Hardy songs
What about "Truck Bed" or "Boots"??
Also
He needs to hear the title track
And country side
"A Rock" "Give Heaven some Hell"
They are all the same band... country and rock
Hardy is in
Tuscaloosa Sept 1st
Not sure how far that is from you
You need to go down the John Farnham rabbit hole. The best voice you have never heard. An Aussie bloke that never cared for overseas fame therefore so many people have missed out. I recommend starting with Help! live with the melbourne symphony orchestra then go from there. With John, always go for the live performances to see the very best
New subcriber and loving the interactions between the two of you. I know you get a ton of suggestions, so if you have heard these before, just put another check mark by the group. I would love to see L A Guns. The Black Crows, Dangerous Toys and Junkyard. Keep up the great work you two and I look forward to the next video.
This is an amazing album!!!
I'd love to see Birch react to either .30-06 or Kill Shit Til I Die (I do agree with the profanity issue on Radio Song). Or the last song on the album would be good too.
I really hope Alexis can stay part of the channel if Steph comes back.
You should have played him Sold Out,Truck bed,.30-.06 or Kill shit till I die.All the songs on the album are awsome
I was a friend of your dad when he had no one else felt dat
That whole song hits the mark
Love Hardy and his stuff. You should check out Cory Marks I suggest you listen to Outlaws and Outsiders that has Mick Mars, Ivan Moody and Travis Tritt on the track and in the music video. It’s the one that put Cory on the map
Mockingbird and the Crow
There is a definite crossbreed of hard rock/metal and country in the last 7 or 8 years. Brantley Gilbert, Truck Yeah and Feel Like a Rock Star with Tim McGraw, etc. Makes perfect sense; I'm a small town hillbilly, and metal and country both kind of cover my life. :-)
You guys should do Hardy - Not a radio song. I think he would enjoy it.
Check out the band "State of Mine". They do really good covers and have a couple originals.
Radio Song with Jeremy McKinnon is a bad ass song.
Great song choice it was classic when he said that song was too short maybe he ran out of lyrics while he was drinking Jack ? just kidding don't know but it sounded good to reply to as i write this. But I have heard this song didn't know the band or singer was looking for more music by this performer.
“Radio Song” pokes some knowing fun at Hardy’s radio-friendly tendencies. It opens with half-spoken verses describing a formula for songwriting, which is followed by an earworm of a pre-chorus and then mutates into a churning mass of detuned bass and guttural howls courtesy of Jeremy McKinnon from post-hardcore favorites A Day to Remember."
You need to listen to Little Big Town's Beer, Wine and Whiskey. Also Brad Paisley's Alcohol
Country side do “Screen” or “Drink one for me”
yes to both
I'm not sure how to request a reaction. Hopefully you receive this. I would love to see a reaction video featuring Ryan Upchurch "Can I get a outlaw". It's an older song from the beginning of his career. Upchurch has made it as an independent artist and is able to make music his way. He has a number of other songs as well a few great cover songs. Please take the time to listen to his music.
I just pulled my record, if you're doing Ozzy and Randy Rhoads do this:
Album: Blizzard of Oz
Song: Mr. Crowley or Crazy Train
Do Rednecker, I'm friends with Jim too Burch
For a great metal/Country crossover check out Cory Marks - 'Blame it on the Double' is a great song from an awesome album.
Metal already has its country side. It's called Folk metal.
You should do some more whiskey Myers. They are one of the best live bands out there. They can go from good slow acoustic songs to melt your face off rock and roll
You guys should do sold out or mockingbird and the crow
Onr of the best live performances I ever been too behind kenny chesney.
Was thinking then will the metal start and suddenly the song was over
exposing someone to Stevie Ray Vaughan and then them playing you something like this is the equivalent of you playing Pantera for someone and then they come back and play you disturbed
Listen to yesteryear by Pecos and the rooftops. They are rock country like Hardy and rock
Hardy co-wrote Cody Johnson 's song Jesus Loves You if you haven't check it out yet i do recommend it.
Hey Burch, how about Living Colour?
"WELL THIS AIN'T A MOTHERF#@KING RADIO SONG!!!!! F**************CK!!!!!!!"
Is that a lyric from his song...I hope 😳
@@flickeringboxofficial It is! Love the channel btw!!!
you can play radio song alot of reactors have done it.
Sounds like foo fighters
Try dirt miller..... kansas city
How about doing Ren
That's not the link to Hardy, it's some Russian gamer page.
What link is that? Is that on a comment?
Alternative
Wait! I’m new here, is this not your dad?
Truck Bed’s f bomb isn’t in the chorus. You could probably get away with that one
Too much Jack and you pass out like the song. Or he got knocked out lol
I have requested The Way by Stryper over 2 months ago, even sent you $10 during a live feed you had. But sadly you will probably never do it. I'm just gonna unsubscribe. So, good luck to you.
Sorry Davererer. We did Stryper I believe in you this weekend. We took quite a bit if time off during the remodel so we lost some time. Yours is on the list for next Stryper reaction but we had to do I believe in you first. I understand though if you want to leave. I am truly sorry.
If you have to ask such a question, then it's definitely not country. Merle, Waylon, George, and Hank would be rolling over in their graves.
Sorry, this is "trailer rock" in my opinion. Thumbs down for me. 😕👎
Screaming and heavy guitars does not = metal
More HARDY! For sure do mockingbird and the crow, sold out, the good oldies rednecker and country as hell!
Really any HARDY song would be great
Ok I seen old photos of Suzi Q the singer Burch might know who she is. But to me Alexis looks just like her. It's crazy 🤪 but there is resemblance check it out. 😂
way to sing song, needs to be more like burcha says, makes you feel ncomplete
