Thank you so much! Trying to program Homelink, unsuccessfully, I somehow de-programmed my remote. Could not figure out how to get it linked again to the opener. I really appreciate this video!
Does anyone know how many remote can be programmed with those old generation garage door opener? I tried to program around 5 remotes including the keypad and after adding a certain number of remotes, it seems like the opener no longer responds and I have to reset it before I can add the remotes again.
Thanks for this video, great info. I have 2 craftsman garage door openers, one at my house and the other one at my cabin. They both have 2 remotes that look the same, 3 button remotes. Is it possible to program all 4 remotes to open either garage door?
My garage door opener has issue receiving signals from the remotes. If I turn off the light from the wall control box, it works all the time. I already installed a Chamberlain interference free LED bulb but it does not help. I also operated the garage door opener without any bulb and it does not help. Is that a logic board issue?
I have a Craftsman gdo ... I bought a second remote today and programmed it... no problem. Now the first one won't work!? Do I need to do both of them at the same time...or do I need to wipe out the memory and start over for both of them? Thanks!!
Can you tell me how to clear the old codes. I added a remote and now when my neighbors leave for work and close their door mine opens…holding it down doesn’t work like newer ones.
If your memory doesn’t clear by holding it down then the memory portion of the circuit board has gone bad. depending on the year your opener was made you might be able to add an 889 LM and get new updated remotes. if your opener is older than 99 then that wont work, you’ll have to go with a 635 LM or 365LM to match your existing remotes. sounds difficult but its easy.
I have this exact door opener wondering all the wires are on terminals two and three I have the electric safety eyes and a push button do I just put them on terminals # two and three
look at the color of your program button if it's a chamberlain brand machine then buy the chamberlain universal remote... or... buy a chamberlain "max" remote. the max will program to all chamberlains and so will the universal, the universal will also do other brands.
I have had one of two remote controls stolen/disappear. I have followed these instructions and everything went as described. Will this make the missing/stolen remote control inoperable now?
No the old remotes are not inoperable yet. First step is to push and hold the red button down until the LED goes out. Now try one of your remotes, if it doesn't work then you have succeeded in erasing the memory and all remotes. Now just follow this video and re enter the remotes you still have.
I have a Sears Craftsman 41A4315-7C (1/3HP). Tried every combination possible since all tutorials didn't work. Two brand new remotes with batteries. I held down the circle green button in the back to clear codes.... now what EXACTLY do I need to do now? Thanks
Push the green button once then push the remote once. Chances are pretty good that your old machine won't pick up the remote. That's the first thing that goes bad on these old machines
I have an older model "Prolift Professional 200" opener that came w the house we just bought. But no remotes at all. I cannot see a "learn" button. How can I program my phone to be the remote?
You can't, older machines can barely work the way they should much less be useable thru your phone. Either you'll have to try a universal remote or get a new machine that has wifi so you can use your phone. learn buttons came into play in the mid 90s so if your machine doesn't have one then it's probably early 90s or older.
Thanks for the video it’s very helpful. Oh also I noticed the audio was only working on the left speaker as you were explaining. But still very helpful I enjoyed watching 😎👍
+Bernie Flores How new Bernie? if it's got a yellow button, (which the new ones have) then push that yellow button once then the remote once, if you don't see a yellow button or it's not programming then just double check your wall console to be sure the "Learn" button isn't located there instead of on the machine.
my chamberlain lift master 1/2 hp manf. 4/1992 model 1155lm will not delete my remotes. I've held the button down for over 3+minutes but it just stays a solid red. once i let go I can program a remote to work but not delete any of them. Since i just added a brand new remote my neighbors remotes will open my door but my remote will not open theirs. PLEASE HELP
Try unplugging the machine, then depress the button and plug it back in and hold it for roughly 25 seconds if that doesn't do it then I need to know the model of your remotes
Willa Castillo.....The machine is telling you that the battery back up is dead, take the lens cover loose and you will see a door there...unscrew the single screw at the bottom, remove the door and unplug the battery. Battery back ups are a nice option but the machine does not require it to operate.
I have just bought 2 remotes for my garage door but cant get them to open the door the new remotes have got A B c d on them where as the old ones are black with 2 squar white buttons ane 1 long white button but when I try to pair the new ones to the motor nothing happens, can anyone help please. Cheers
Take a picture of the new remotes, then take a picture of the old remote and email them to info@allproqgd.com and one of the guys in the shop can email you back, or call Langdon at 858-576-7223 and he can go thru it with you over the phone.
Please NEVER DELETE this VIDEO!! The others failed to program because it does not talk about when it records it and to push the remote TWICE
Thanks a lot. It's what I needed. My instruction sticker on garage door opener was misleading.
Really love the work “BUTTON” emphasis on the B lol
robert vidal now that I’ve listened to the video again your right... I really over “buttoned” it!!!!
Thank you. Finally got it working. The instructions on the back on the garage opener are incorrect.
Thank you! Worked like a charm
Instructions for the clicker did not work. Your video did, thanks!
Tried other videos, & wouldn’t work. Genie directions on this video worked for both my remotes plus the homelink car remote. Thanks
👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much! You saved me several hours of frustration.
+Greg Livorsi Amen brother!! Glad you got it done!
Thank you so much! Trying to program Homelink, unsuccessfully, I somehow de-programmed my remote. Could not figure out how to get it linked again to the opener. I really appreciate this video!

from what i remember the magic number was 6 depending on the color of your program button.
@@ALLProGarageDoors Thank you for your answer. My button is purple
@@alainvu6532 if it’s purple then It should hold no less than 6

Greg Stinogel absolutely, even if you only had a single button remote, you could program the same remote to two different locations.
Great video! Exactly what I needed! TY
Thanks so much, this video was very helpful!!
Perfect - had it working in seconds
Straight to the point, Thanks for the video !

I would venture to say yes, although i’d make sure you don’t have any other LED bulbs on in or in front of the garage.
would you know how to program a genie universal key pad to a chamberlain with a green button
no…i didn’t even know genie had a universal keypad.
I have a Craftsman gdo ... I bought a second remote today and programmed it... no problem. Now the first one won't work!? Do I need to do both of them at the same time...or do I need to wipe out the memory and start over for both of them? Thanks!!
I'd start over, clear the memory and then program the remotes.
@@ALLProGarageDoors That's what I'm figuring on doing! Thanks for the reply!

to clear the memory you hold down the program button until the LED light goes out. then all remotes are cleared.

Hello, how can i get the mhz from an old chamberlain, i think 1990...is it 27 mhz?
Thanks from germany
you’ll have to look online we don’t have any of the older stuff anymore.
Worked. Thank you
🎉best garage opener install! Thanks fellas!

Your display model was 390MHZ?
It was, yes. easier to test customers remotes on a common frequency

just hold the memory button down until the LED light (next to the memory button) goes out. then the memory is clear.

NO SOUND! Seems like others did not have any issues.
you rock!! Thank you!!!!
Thanks D Lane! hope it helped you out!!
My remotes only work when placed near the unit.
You’ll either need a new receiver, new circuit board or new machine.
Easy breezy
Indeed!! 👍🏽
Still can’t get this thing to work 🤦♂️

Still not working!! Very frustrated. Old Craftsman.
Joanne Bowman sometimes the program button stops working.
Yea they do that when they get too old.
Did Donald Trump also program remote controls for garage openers?
does bidens son smoke crack?
