One of the best Triad/brotherhood movies I'd ever seen!!!! Imagine if Amelie, Au revoir les enfants, Once Upon A Time In High School, and election had a an orgy party and Amelie had a baby, it would be this movie... If you have never seen a new wave Taiwanese film before, start with this one.. It is beautifully shot, the score is moving and the acting is contemporary arthouse.. I recommend this gem to everyone!!!
This is the first and only taiwanese movie I actually liked. And this movie has more depth in it compare to alot of honk kong and chinese movies now days.

I cant believe monga is an old movie. I just watched it yesterday 😅. I have seen many mafia movies. Many is boring with the similar plot as hell. But monga? Man, its so interesting from the beginning till the end.

The actor who plays "monk" (with the shaved head) he races at the same race track as me. I got a video of him there.

Kinda like Young and Dangerous, but less of the fun and more of the serious. Very good movie though, expect some sad parts though.

This film was the first time I saw a film that remotely approached good in Taiwan. It could have been better but it certainly wasn't boring to watch.
