@@the-papaw I'm sure you could use it just fine, depending on type of cement mix and reinforcement but theoretically you can make a foundation of aircrete.
@@dennisgunn468 Hi there. I’m wondering if you know or where I can find out which products would best make a light concrete that would be tough enough to handle the sea movement when used as 1 piece for the deck and 1 piece for the rooftop placed in between 2 fibreglass boat hulls please? Hulls are 6m x 1m and royal width of boat will be 2.4m. Each piece would need to handle the different strained movements on the sea while under motor/sail. Thanks 😊. Rob
As this is just a poured normal concrete slab, should you not have a vapour barrier like 8 mil plastic sheet under the concrete or even several inches of sand or gravel? You are going to have moisture problems from the concrete wicking moisture into the living space... Also the slab should have been vibrated and metal mesh should have been extended out of the existing slabs to link to the new slab... also misleading title about using aircrete...
So... Was that aircrete? It looks like a regular concrete slab. I really would like to see how it works for a second floor. I would like to make a two floor house. First floor hyperadobe earth bags, second floor geodesic dome. For the slab in between, recycled palet base in top of wooden exposed beams, with aircrete slab on top to make everything more firm. That would work as insulation as well... In theory. I'm trying to figure out if it is even possible, but I haven't found much info.
Coming right along. Looking great. Have you ever heard of wetting the slab some to help it cure? I have very little concrete experience...but I think I heard that somewhere???
Nice Looking Lab coming :+) ... Was wondering about if Tile of a higher sand mix aircrete might work, or if less dense aircrete under a cement slab could insulate a radiant water heated slab ??? ... I have been inspired by you Classroom. Thanks from Bill in Northern California :+)
Not floating it before you finnish it? If you don't push the stones down by floating it they'll peek out in time. Another option to push the stones down is a diamond mesh roller cage which attaches to your float handles. Your experimenting is Awesome. As a mason I'm intetested in aircrete. My only wish is you would discuss the ratios of your mixes. Like 1 Portland, 1 Sand, 1 Perlite, 32 gallons foam. Do you think Roman Concrete, 1 part Hydrated (slaked) Lime to 2 parts volcanic ash, could be made into Roman AirConcrete?
I've seen people pour an aircrete slab, it probably takes longer than a month to set up? Is that why you didn't pour it in aircrete, would be insulative in winter wouldn't it? In Asia that Aussie Steve(?) They make the Geo homes. But I would think you could make sections bigger than your she'd with the rebarb, 8ft. Sections at a time. Maybe like rammed earth, leaving every other then filling in later, like you did the slab. Why not? Round windows or whatever.
I prefer you to Aircrete Harry, but recently his part 6 on Epic Done, he mentions a Paint Dirtoatch Heaven and you might be interested in with ceramic beads, NASA developed I believe if I understood right.
When you don't know where you can use aircrete as a structural replacement, you rely on what you know can be used as structural product. Building codes and their enforcers will need evidence of testing which shows aircrete products will perform in a specific situation at a minimum standard.
an aircrete floor would be too soft to be a floor. It would be like a styrofoam floor. It can be suitable to make an insulative layre under an actual 3-4" reinforced slab on top, just like sub grade extruded poly styrene
This looks to be enclosed at some point. Why not use aircrete underneath it to be insulated? An orbital sander (no sand paper obviously) on the side forms may help with those air pockets also.
Airheads, lol Funny how one see, read, and assume things. Aircrete Lab, Slad is Done. ;) Not to assume that you where pouring aircrete to make a concrete Slab. ;)
It's not AirCrete, you don't use it at all, I think you use ClickBait !!! If you don't believe in it....why should we watch you're channel ... unsubscribe !!!
I thought they were pouring a slab using aircrete. I am disappointed ;(
Yeah me too, I suppose it isn't possible to use for a outdoor slab as far as curing time and weather???
@@the-papaw I'm sure you could use it just fine, depending on type of cement mix and reinforcement but theoretically you can make a foundation of aircrete.
Yeah.
I don't think an all aircrete floor sounds like such a good idea. Maybe aircrete with a layer of regular concrete on top but by itself... nah.

How great to have a wife/partner willing to do one of the hardest jobs, side by side with you.
Where's the aircrete🤔
Those front unloading trucks are the best! Nice job!
You're a King mate...Regards from Australia!
im so confused. that looks like regular concrete

How's the aircrete slab doing now after two years
Can you use it for thermal and hot water heating floor
you have a real woman with you!!! best of luck for you guys!! Much L
ove from South Florida!!!
So, how is it now?
You had a really good truck driver.
Totally!
Great job guys!!

Have you mixed gravel with this
Was curious to how that mesh was going to settle and not pop back up through the concrete. Not a problem, it seems.
how to make aircrete load bearing?
Looking, great guys!
Lol. Love it how she kicks the concrete back into the slab. So precisely done. Lol
Did you have the concrete mixers use your air Crete mixture?
awesome work
That was therapeutic :-)
That was a click bait moment, like we never saw a slab pour before.
Looks great guys! 0nward and upward!

I am wondering the same thing about using an aircrete slab to insulate a radiant floor... that would be amazing!!!
@@spence1501 I want to try a higher density aircrete pour with more sand and less foam for tiling over surface type floor in small bedroom or sauna.

Oops! Did you forget to “chair” your 6x6 - 10x10 steel mesh?
I was thinking the same thing.
Great job
I think they should have poured a layre of aircrete under there first for insulation and leveling

Using regular concrete for a aircrete lab??? Something just is way wrong here!

Misleading title, friends. This is just a normal concrete slab.
So, again, was his an aircrete slab? The title suggests that it was.
I notice you didn't use a tamper to Tamp down the concrete
the adjutant, not bad ..

Commercial truck delivering aircrete? ..A bit too much of a party the night before?
That wasn’t air crete.
I am getting disappointed more by the fact that this guy we subcribed to and we are following him yet he doesn't respond to our comments and questions
👍🏻👍🏻👏
The music is too annoying after about 3 seconds

‘Your’ channel. Darwin isn’t set up yet to pour that size of a slab using aircrete without it setting up before he finished. Use your brain, man!
