Regarding Saints - Ludlam barely played last season, Waller was in the Prop rotation and Courtney also dropped out of the team on occasions. The rest are all improving.

I don't think Saracens will finish 8th. They may have lost a lot of senior players. But I would say only Farrell will be seriously missed. The rest are either well past their prime, or there are better options available to McCall. I think they will struggle to make the play-offs. But I think they will finish above the likes of Leicester and Bristol.

As a lifelong Wasps fan, I’m still grieving, but can’t see anyone living with the energy of Saints.
If anyone can topple them, you would hope it would be a team with flair and style ….. so Quins or Bath - certainly not Route-One Leicester.

I fear for Quins this year - the losses of Andre the Giant and Will Collier are both huge.

As a Gloucester supporter it’s such a big year for the club and skivington. This is Skivington 5th season, if we don’t get into the champions cup spots and fail to win a trophy then I think he should go

@@06alepea1 not sure. When we do move on from Skivington Ideally I’d want to get a foreign coach from France or South Africa for example that play very good exciting rugby. Doesn’t have to be an elite coach but would rather get the next young exciting coach.

Argentina have improved without Cheika, were poor at the WC. Not convinced he’s the messiah sent to save Tigers. The squad is also the same and last year was missing basic skills in attack. That won’t be fixed quickly. The problem is the backs lack pace and the league has become quite attack heavy.

    • @Gilescowdemdem
      @Gilescowdemdem 13 дней назад +1

Yep, never understood the Cheika obsession. He instilled a poor attitude at Aus, blaming refs for decisions rather than focusing on the team and did not do much for Argentina.

I reckon Bath have a very good chance after narrowly losing by 4pts in the final to Northampton last year. They’ll be hurting from that & will have a point to prove.
I reckon Northampton won’t win it this year as they won it last year and will struggle to reach that high again especially considering they have lost some of their best players like Lawes, Ludlum, Waller, Matavesi, Moon etc…
Leicester are another team who are stacked with internationals and have made some good new signings and a new world class head coach but with that being said it might take longer for Cheika to implement what he wants to do with the team in his opening season.
Harlequins are another team who have a pretty decent squad and have been going about their business quietly the last couple of seasons and have also made some new shrewd signings in key positions.
Saracens, Exeter, Sale & Gloucester will be competitive but I don’t see any of them winning it.
    My top 3 to win:
    1.Bath
    2.Leicester
    3.Northampton

All the main players getting old? What on earth are you on about. Cole for sure getting old, But most most of the big name players are all under 25 Chessum, Martin, Steward, Reffell, JVP, Kelly with Perez coming in. Pollard and Montoya both only just turned 30.
Tigers problem was coaching and RWC with so many missing. Now woth Cheika they'll be a different team.
