She was every Aussie guy's fantasy girl, and every Aussie girls wannabe, if they had the courage in the 80s & 90s .
She did touch everyone and she was a gift that ended way too soon.
    RIP Chrissy, sadly missed

I literally jumped out of my chair when I saw this! And her middle name is the same as mine, Joy! I didn’t know that! She was such an outstanding woman, so incredibly gifted and l loved the photos! The photo of her at fifteen, such a beauty. Unconventional but stunning. I remember her refusing to get her teeth fixed, lol. Good on her! (I can’t help wondering if it was also for the same reason Freddie Mercury refused to get his fixed, he was concerned it would anatomically change the way his voice sounded) The controversy over her sensuality was always amusing to me, she had such a personality, she’d have dealt with the critics pretty fast! A fierce spirit with a gentle, artistic heart. Such an Australian legend, she handled her terrible illnesses with such grace. THANK YOU for this excellent tribute!!!❤️

Just a note too, on the 16th of this month it’s the 47 year anniversary of Marc Bolan’s passing. 47 years! That blew my mind. A lot of my fellow Marc fans have links to your video now too, grin. You did a fantastic job with it🤗

Thanks for this. Been a long time since I've seen anything on youtube about Divinyls. My favorite Aussie band. Their three Chrysalis albums are essential rock albums. Their later stuff is still great, but to me a bit more inconsistent. R.I.P. Chrissy.

I would have liked Bob Rock to produce any of the peak albums. This Canadian from Winnipeg is a fan of punk. He and his band The Payola$ worked with the late Mick Ronson in the early 1980s. Ronson died in 1993.
Getting Tom Kelly, Billy Steinberg and Holly Knight to co-write was on point! 🎯
RIP Mick Ronson and Christy Amphlett.

I never considered The Divinyls to be hard rock. They were a little on the pop side for me, but I did like "Pleasure and Pain", so I bought the album. "Dear Diary" was weird enough that I enjoyed it. I didn't keep up with them after that. She had a beautiful voice. It's a shame that the cancer took her, but still better than alcohol or drugs.
