Polka is a really great host and interviewer. Since many of the holomems already have radio shows, Polka probably doesn't want to steal their thunder.
But i bet Polka would do really well to start a radio/podcast/interview show similar to Kiara's

There do exist cursive Japanese. It is very different from Chinese "Caoshu" cursive script. Japanese "Kuzushiji" cursive script used to be a semi-standard in various manuscripts, and it was still predominant in writing mails and diaries before WW2. Kuzushiji is very fast running (almost like a stenograph) and idiosyncratic, so it is a massive headache for historians.
For history researchers in Japan, a huge "Kuzushiji dictionary" and a smartphone study app "KuLa" are essential.

The true reason she stopped using aru is because its a verbal tic associated which chinese characters (like Kagura from Gintama). Nene used to be a chinagirl character until the whole china fiasco. They immediately distanced themselves with Chinese association and changed nenes character from having chinese hairbuns to normal hairbuns/bear ears and removed her chinese dress. No doubt in my mind she stopped using aru because of that too, you can se how fast Polka deflected it when they were discussing why too.

Many Japanese who grew up in places other than Tokyo has this issue after moving to Tokyo - they are forced to speak "proper" Japanese, which is essentially what used to be the Kanto or Edo dialect, and only speak their native dialect with close friends and family from their home town. This issue is especially problematic with Kansai folks who speaks Kansai-ben, that they just can't feel comfortable speaking Tokyo Japanese. I think Hajime is the same way with her unique way of speech.

it's more like if she started in business mode of hers then if she reached a point wherein she's used to streaming, its kinda hard to maintain the business mode since she's getting used to doing streaming casually which will tend to make her casual talk show more.
imagine if you watch her talking properly on debut then gradually goes to a babylike talk, so if she starts at casual talk from the start she won't have to worry about maintaining the business mode way of her talking

@@venkaramon true, reminds me of miko's debut where she always tried to speak "proper" but you can hear her elite speak when she gets flustered or forgets to put in effort. glad she finally dropped the elite language which introduced most of the western viewers to vtubers.
