For me, it's Super Mario Maker on the 3DS. When I first got it, I never knew it was a downgrade version of the Wii U game until I played it myself. It was definitely one of my top games I regret buying.
@Just_Shaun Yeah, that is the only thing I like about SMM on 3DS. Everything else, including the lack of uploading your custom-made levels online, I'm just not a fan of it. Plus, after playing the game for some time, I realized I'm not a good level designer. So this game isn't for me.
As a person who didn’t own a Wii U, having Mario Maker on the 3DS was like a dream to me. Obviously, it's outdated now, but back then, it was a nice substitute.

You own a good game because it’s retro and one of the best games on ps1 . Even if you don’t like it you can always just sell it and get your money back . Games like that will probably only go up in value .
As a New 2D XL (3DS for me) owner I'll see Minecraft works good on 3DS and the game that I regret buying is Luigi's Mansion 2 HD because Luigi's Mansion 3 is still the best Luigi's Mansion game and I'll wait for Luigi's Mansion 4!
That last game makes me so sad. It clearly wasn't the best mc or anything. But it's still a cool game to own. It's just a unique port, and I acctually enjoyed it. $40 is kind of a bad price tho. Makes sense why you regret it.
I don’t think I regret any Nintendo games aside from Lego movie 2 cause that game is terrible compared to the first one or any other Lego games. I played the 3DS version of Minecraft and it’s not a very good version. The graphics don’t look that good and the new 3DS c nub is not that good. Minecraft feels like a game that shouldn’t be on the 3DS.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars: I enjoyed Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine when I was a kid, but when I was replaying them as an adult, I was a bit bored. I recently traded it in after letting it just sit around in my room for 4 years lol. I just don't get why the gaming community still hype those games up when they haven't really aged well. It's just weird to me how much most of the gaming community seems to hate indie games as if they're all just trash, but they'll still praise games like Mario 64 and Sunshine. Sonic Mania: I didn't dislike it or anything, but I just don't see myself revising it, so I traded it in the same day that I traded in Super Mario 3D All-Stars. I would rather play Sonic Origins. Mario Ultra Smash Tennis: The game is just boring asf. Super Mario Tennis Aces: Tennis Aces and Ultra Smash Tennis just doesn't have the same charm as Mario Tennis 64 and Mario Power Tennis. Tbh, a lot of the modern Mario Sports game have been lackluster. South Park Rally: I played this game for the first time in 2015, and it was bad. The racing to each checkpoint objective was just not fun at all. I would love to see a new South Park kart racer that removes it and lets us race normally. Imagine how chaotic online would be 😂. I wouldn't mind dusting people with Cartman. Cartoon Network Racing: The game is slow asf. Since MultiVersus is a thing, I would love to see a MultiVersus Kart. That way WB can make a better game. Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion: I love Cartoon Network, but this game just wasn't good. I'm glad we eventually got MultiVersus a decade later.
The game I regret is Pretty Princess Party for the switch. I swear to god, it looks and plays like a Dreamcast game but in the worst way. There’s not even motion controls for the mini games too!
There's a few games I regret buying. Most of them being digital so I can't get a refund on them. But what comes to mind is Taiko No Tatsujin, Ultimate Horse Chicken, and the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. Games I bought on the EShop that I didn't find enjoyable and costed a bit.
Honestly it isnt a good version of mc, but I like it because it's a very cool port to own, and the older textures and visuals make it more nastogic to play. Its definitely not mc you would want to buy to play mc, but it still is a cool game.
