Thank you sir for this trap for cheap! I need help. My son(7) and I are getting bit every night. We sleep in same bed. This is hell! I hope this works. I'm a single mom with little money. Please any other info u have could help me so much. I'm so grateful I came across ur videos. Thank you!!!
WOW, I had no idea I had bed bugs because I thought the breakouts, I experienced, were allergies. As I itched the welts (probably bed bug bites) I would bleed. When I woke up in the am I thought the marks - little blood spots I saw on my sheets were from me scratching at my allergy sores, I thought it was an allergic to something I was eating, wow, I believe now it is and always was bed bugs! I saw the pics of the spots of blood and the black smears like ink spots - then I knew!!! Oy Vey! Well, now I know. I will send you pics of the preliminary things I am doing to combat these horrible creepy critters. I call it the BB Battle! LOL!
How you described this is 💯% like me too. My little dog slept with me so I assumed it was flea bites all along and after he was gone with regular vacuuming the issue would go away. Since Covid-19 I'm home almost 97% of my time. All of a sudden those small lines of bites on my shoulder are back and another 50 bites on my elbows and feet. I never had RUclips to look this up. But it's bed bugs!!! OMG ‼️ I'm just heartsick I have them.
Not sure if we have a different breed of bed bugs, but used what seems to be identical plastic bowls from dollar general as in video, but every time I shine a flashlight in dark spot I have bowl placed at, each time I see a baby bedbug climb right up side of plastic and escape with ease. They seem to not have any problems what so ever climbing up back out of the plastic bowls, maybe only caught 3 baby bed bugs in total of 4 bowls made. My guess is those few got feet wet and made them not be able to climb out. Will be trying the more advanced traps you showed with 2 liter bottles and gonna try glass coffee cups as well to catch them in. Am very appreciative of all your videos, may just be a life saver for us, I thank you very much and will update you on progress.
you are so cool. thank you for this. May God richly bless you for your patience and care for the poorer family. you are definitely a blessing to us for doing this, and what felt like an impossible situation for me, seems so much simpler now. Peace to you sir.
Joel, U R amazing! Thank you incredibly for the EXPLANATION as u did them, however the ONLY PART I personally didn't understand was WHY the sugar & yeast would draw them in as a REPLACEMENT BAIT, sir. There are many points you brought up that were great to learn such as their claws, etc with enlarged picture to help. Thank you. You are a minister to the people from a higher power.
Thank you so much for making this video. It was actually super interesting to watch and you made me forget about my problem that I have while I was watching you!!!! I also learned a lot you should keep making videos. You are an incredible person to strike interest on us common folk who wouldn’t otherwise know that there’s amazing science behind all this and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
True, but I think he's aiming at a way to trap and eliminate them that poor people or people in large apt units can use. People of moderate means will probably call an exterminator as soon as they start getting bit. I'm trying the home DIYs myself to see if I can get my problem under control. If I still have them then I will probably call an exterminator too. But I have a small house and it has a lot of clutter going on. I have to address the clutter anyway before I could call anyone. I hate having them!!!
very nice and informative video, your explanation is quite clear, however, it would have been great if you had a light in front of you because the shadow projected by your hat hides your face. Thanks for the video, you deserve a big like
Can you tell me how long the two liter bottle trap will continue to make CO2? It has been in place for over 12 hours now. Thank you so much for your videos.
Great, now did you put down the CimeXa powder and practice mattress encasement like I also advised? Holla back when u complete the 3 steps of the Williams Method.
Ok I’ve been binge watching. What is the actual best working trap without the bottle and the bag? I watched that one last and it seemed to make sense that the c02 would be a cool second kill source but seemed like it could limit capture due to the rubber band. Plus the big bottle really limited discreet placement. Also the previous videos matter of factly stated not to carry the tape or cloth over the lip because some may not make it into the bowl. I’m building tbis today
I really appreciate the fact that you broke down the science behind this trap. I set up the trap in all sleeping areas twice. The first time my family was home the second time we weren't and no bugs were caught. How sure can we be that there isn't any infestation?
Joel Z. Williams I have been looking and haven't found lines matching that description. We have been noticing small red marks on our bodies and wanted to rule out bed bugs.
Well we've been treating the issue assuming bed bugs were the culprits. So we have all bed covers on all of the beds. We have also been using pesticides as well but haven't seen a cease in markings on us. We have never actually seen a bed bug under the linings of mattresses or any where else for that matter through all of the spraying and moving things around.
TWO BIG TIPS if you are going to make this trap: #1) Do use totally black athletic tape (found in weight lifter area of sports dept at walmart, $3) so you can see the EGGS that are laid all over the outside of the glass. You need a magnifier glass to see the eggs well, and on white tape? or on white tape that is 'mostly' colored in with black marker? is no way you would realize, you are now holding a bedbug factory covered with eggs on it. #2) The trap you make will NOT be re-usable, just so you know. Reason? because it is too hard to get those eggs off, as there are tiny crevices in the tape on the glass. You could miss seeing an egg and allow it to hatch inside your home. I did not have a glass bowl that was tall, so I made this using a 6 inch tall glass from dollar store, which was actually easier to wrap, in one long piece of tape, going around and around instead of cutting off one piece of tape at a time. The next morning, i got no bugs IN the fluid inside the glass, I don't know what i did wrong? but i did get EGGS on that fabric tape on outside of glass, one egg here, one egg there, scattered alllllllllllll over the tape. I am off to the dollar store to buy some more glasses now, or maybe a thrift shop to buy glasses .
Thank you, I think I have been eaten on. Visited my brother in a boarding home and I did not go in, just to the door. I live in a senior building so I could have. not sure, thank you again for the recipe.
thanks Mr. Williams , the B.B.T. trap GAVE ME my life back almost 2 years of spraying and what .... its hell .. I feelt defeated , ruint my christmas and easter with my famely ,, it was awefull ..to see how others look at me like a leper... so thanks! u r idea is the light at the end of bed bug hell
I have been going back/forth attempting to figure out whether my bites (total 3 sets of 2 lined up bites each, located approximately left knee bend, but on side of knee). After searching online for hours on end, I finally decided upon flea bites (I am AB neg blood type that I have learned is rare because of Bubonic Plague wipeout) because I already am aware that they are attracted to me as their first option.), the bottom line of what I made this decision is because of reading that if one presses down on a flea bite, the skin underneath will turn whitish. However, now, five days later a third bite has appeared in line with one of the sets of 2, so now I am looking at 3 in-a-row that sounds like the "breakfast, lunch, and dinner of bed bugs. Also, the delayed action seems true to the bed bug theory too. So, now I guess I am leaning toward bed bug bites. My experience was only itching when I first noticed and then for a short time only. Please tell me what you think, dear Joel, and in the meantime, I made a batch of your formula and filled as many individual black containers to use up formula: these are set up atop my memory foam mattress on the nonslippery backside of a large, heavy ceramic floor tile to keep from spilling. Doesn't the light of day keep the bed bugs from appearing? And, when it is dark, I have to be in the bed albeit tossing and turning... Also, you seem pretty convinced that this will work. Is there a way I can read about the scientific evidence for myself. Also, this is so much easier than all the tubing, etc., but is it just as effective? I assume because of the passing in time, this has proven to be just as effective while being easier to set up. HELP!!!!!!!
We didn't know we had them either. My mom had a rash kept complaining at me saying my dog had fleas. He didn't of ofcourse flea pill and all. She went doct few weeks and they had no clue. Nothing had affected me. Finally one day I went in her room while I was cleaning to change her sheets and was like what the crap is this little bug. I killed it and thought nothing. Another week later I thought maybe I should look it up. Went in her room found more looked it up and yup. My mom's room has them. Started my traps today. Thankfully I haven't seen an anywhere else yet. My mom had stayed at a hotel a couple weeks before her rash. Pretty sure since in 30 years we never have had them that they came from the hotel. So the battle begins!
One BIG caveat: This is non-toxic to humans and is probably a great help to people. However, DO NOT ALLOW animals to have access to the mixture. Pets, such as dogs and cats, will probably be attracted to the smell and sugar, and if they ingest it serious bloating could result to a dangerous extent.
Joel Z. Williams my daughter woke up three days ago telling me something was biting her. I go into the room with my cell light on and check the bed! I see tiny little bugs crawling. There are like 30. Iam like oh fuck hell no! (Sorry). The next day I found your video. I taped the bottom of the walls/beds/furniture with clear tape lol. The whole darn apartment 😂. I washed and put everything in the dryer. I bought a vapour machine and vapped everything! There were none last night and the night before. I found three today. How did they crawl up that tape lol. My landlord spoke about the previous tenant and she had bed bugs here. Were talking about 1 1/2 ago. Could they crawl from apartment to apartment( my neighbours to my room)?
I built my bed bug trap last night. One problem I've run into is that even though I was careful to have my tubing above the water line in the bottle. The bubbles however have gotten into the tube and its spitting out bubbles into my shot glass. Do I need to poor some out of the bottle? Will this effect its potency if I remove the cap?
Great idea, from now on people, just use duct tape that's already colored: www.target.com/p/duck-tape-black-duct-2-x20-yd/-/A-14443369?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Home+Improvement+Shopping&adgroup=SC_Home+Improvement&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9007544&gclid=Cj0KEQiAxeTFBRCGmIq_7rGt_r8BEiQANdPqUgdJDOWjm-zrHTAub1zwSeFwdkqJ8eITH4Idd51HPa4aArj48P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
Thank you for this very informative video. We paid $500 for a 25 minute application of Cimexa, we have a 3 story home. The product is guaranteed for 6 months, now, in 12 days it will be a month since the application & were still getting bit. The company wants us to wait 12 days before they will come out said something about the hatching phase of the BB. only this time I doubt they will dust, they said they would spray. The product itself is a fraction of the cost on Amazon, however, when they dusted we were told we had to leave for 5 hours so the dust could settle, also, so we would not inhale the Cimexa. What is your knowledge on this, also if the average person wanted to dust their own house what tips would you give them and what precautions would you take? The company did not find any signs of infestation and the BB seems to be limited to the living room. Thank you again for all your help.
Wow, that is just extortion under a different name. $500???!!!!. That's why I do these videos. To keep people from being gouged by these pest control operators. Please see my video on how to apply CimeXa (pro-tip: buy the $14 applicator) it will make a lot of difference regarding your success rate.
Hi Mr Williams. I have watched all of your videos which are amazing. But i have questions please. 1. The 91% alcohol spray works GREAT. Can we just use that with CimeXa? 2. The EucoClean you recommended was quite expensive and didnt work at all. Have you heard of SayByeBugs spray? Is there a need to get it if using alcohol? 3. In the trap/bowls: if your bedfoot goes down into the bowl, what's to keep the bugs from climbing back up the bedfoot? 4. Can CimeXa be put on/in cloth furniture? I'm spraying alcohol deep in a recliner and couch, vacuuming and dusting underneath with CimeXa, but the bugs aren't really visible underneath. I can't find the nest or hoard anywhere...just 6-7 together at most. 5. We have encased the box springs on 1 bed and both box and mattress on another. My husband swears that he's found 3-4 bugs ON top of the plastic! We used 3.5 mil as that's all we could find. How is this possible? 6. How big are the babies? I have felt (can't see them really) something crawling on me. When I get it, it's a tiny reddish bug like a clover mite. Small as a needle point...could this be a baby BB or something else? 7. I am a clean freak. We have no idea how we got BBs but they started in 1 2nd story room and are now in all BRs and downstairs in a sofa and recliner. When you say to vacuum vigilently, is that INSIDE the furniture as well as the floors, along baseboards etc? This process can be a full time job! (I'm spending 2-3 hours a night AFTER 10+ hrs initially). Thank you for sharing all of your vast wisdom, it's much appreciated! Still fighting the WAR, but gaining ground!
Kelli Thompson . Hello Kelly thank you for your response, if you have some CimeXa then I would advise discontinuing alcohol. I think that answers the majority of your questions
Joel Z. Williams Thank you for your very prompt reply! I like the alcohol for immediate extinction of those "seen". 2 more questions if you don't mind... Are you familiar with "mites"? I KNOW I have BBs but I've been working in the yard a ton. I wonder if either a. I have babies hatching (the reason I asked about size and visibility) or b. if I have possibly 2 issues going on? 2a. Will CimeXa or alcohol kill the EGGS of BBs (I've seen tiny clumps of granular white things) b. Are either effective on mites that I may have inadvertently brought in from landscaping? You, dear sir, are a true blessing to so many! You are an advocate for ALL people, not just lower income! I refuse to spend tons of money on these vermin!! THANK YOU!
Joel Z. Williams Also, I forgot to ask, I assume that if you're continually vacuuming, the CimeXa must be reapplied? You said "...up to 10 years if left undisturbed".
@@kellithompson805 you can look up on Google pictures showing what they look like at each instar. They do look like mites when they are babies before they get their brown/tan color. If they are red that means they are full of blood. I thought the same thing at first until I did some research on them.
So I just found bb's on my sons bed and its quite a bit, we share a wall and I found 3 in my room so far but I know it wont be long til more follow. I know were not supposed to move room to avoid spreading but what if we all moved into my sons room could we possible contain it into one room while we get a battle plan together? If they have no food source in any other room they shouldnt roam right?
Interesting question, and it brings up a ("teachable moment"). One of the keys to the success of bedbugs throughout their evolution is a phenomenon that has been termed ("traumatic insemination"). When bedbugs mate the male mounts the female and basically impales her abdomen to deposit his sperm. Even despite the fact that the female has a natural orifice for reproduction. Obviously, this is probably extremely painful for the female. Most likely she will attempt to scurry away to find a dark place to hide in order to avoid being attacked again. That location could be a child's shoe, a backpack set on the floor, behind a picture hanging on the wall, and etc. Entomologists theorize that this act alone has contributed to the spread of bedbugs throughout the world. So, to answer your question, No. As long as one room is infested with bedbugs, it is unlikely that you will be able to contain them to just that location for any meaningful amount of time.
@@JoelZWilliams1 thanks for the quick response and all your information, im still gonna try lol it may not make things easier but as long as the actual move into his room doest make it worse im willing to try. i'll let you know if it works out for me.
I watched your first video yesterday, and went and bought all the gold version of bed bug traps. I will put that out today. Should I use this videos method as well in my bathroom, kitchen and living room? Can these methods control bedbugs, or is it too late should a infestation occur?
It's never too late. I once had a guy in Nice France that had them so bad they were actually harboraging in the walls of a small apartment. He build 4 large traps and got rid of them all in about 8 weeks.
Ok thank you for replying back so promptly!!!As I am going mad as you can imagine....ok do I put the cimexa all over the box springs and mattress before I put the encasements on them??
Yes, please do me a favor and watch my video about it. Take before and after pictures and send them to me. You will be successful if you follow the Williams Method to the T and work the steps hard.
@@JoelZWilliams1 HOW do we send pictures to you? I have pictures of the bedbugs eggs alllllllll over this trap you are showing us how to make. Tons of little bedbugs eggs on that black tape on the outside. Did you know that the bugs lay eggs all over the tape? I got pictures. So, these traps are one-time use, single =use only, and then throw away, cuz those eggs WILL hatch!!
Good question. If given a choice between you and a trap, the bedbug will always prefer a human host. So it's a good strategy to place these in rooms where you are not present for large parts of the day. Conversely, if can also use these quite effectively in rooms where you have already incorporated mattress/furniture encasement (using plastic sheeting to create a barrier between yourself and the bugs). Please watch my video on that too.
Joel Z. Williams the problem is, is that they are in both bed rooms and I only have 2 bed rooms and only 1 with a bed. They might be in my living room also but i havent seen any yet. We already had exterminators come in and spray through my apt complex and now theyre back but i only saw tiny nimphs alive so far so Im trying to get it done quickly and efficiently before it gets worse. But I have 2 daughters and a small apt I dont know what to do and I tried covering with a plastic but I cant lift the top mattress to completely encase it cause its a heavier thicker foam mattress which is too heavy for my back. So I just have it laying on top. I dont know if thats going to help but I am going to get some DE spray and CimeXa powder hopefully by this weekend. Im gna try to make the trap though and safe guard walls and everything with tape. I might just end up either throwing everything away or staying with a family member awhile. Im home all the time so theres not a room we dont go in usually unless we just sleep on the couch and floor lol
I understand about the weight of the mattress. Plastic on top of the mattress will help very little unless you sleep directly on it without allowing your sheets to serve as a ladder from your box spring to you. Also consider placing each of the four feet of your bed in plastic cups. This will prevent bedbugs from leaving your bed and spreading throughout the house while also preventing them from getting in your box springs from the ground. I will show you that you can easily mimic using items from your kitchen: ruclips.net/video/vGK4xI03YA8/видео.html
Joel Z. Williams thank you yes, my sheet doesnt hang off the top mattress at all , I was too worried they would be able to climb on it so its just folded in half on the very top. But ok I’ll try to do that with the cups, if I can get someone to help, thank you so much Mr Williams.
I'm so tired of biten. I did the trap not this one the other one and I cudnt get any . recently I warped up my side bed with plastic and I didn't get bite for ten days . it's a success for me . but yesterday I got biten again they always bites me in a night from three to six . I'm not sure if I have a couple bedbug or alot . I'm so tired bcoz all bites left mark on my skin . I feel I'm damage . plz help me .
Well it seems like it's time to really work all of the steps. Get some CimeXa and apply that to all of the areas where the bedbugs use to travel to and from your bed. Finish wrapping up and then sealing all of your beds and furniture. Build the Passive Monitoring Pitfalls, and create more Co2 traps.
@@JoelZWilliams1 since Covid-19 I'm home all the time and I'm just bored and sitting alot. Because of that they've reimmurged with a vengeance. I didn't think they were bed bugs. But now I know they are. If I follow all your steps can I get rid of them??? I hate them. There's such a stigma to this issue.
yes, although I would recommend using a desiccant powder like CimeXa for that particular application. Less mess, and more effective. Please see my video on using that powder.
@@user-rb5yw1eg7j Not yet but Im going to get some from Amazon. I used some nonstick cooking spray and put in all around the baseboards and bed frame to make it too slippery for them, a lil messy but idc about that at the moment, that should trap them where they are and then Ill use the cimexa, the outlets are important to do
No, because they are a blood obligate insect they will not be deterred by that smell. Also, you can still make an effective trap without coloring the tape.
maybe you would have some ideas to help me. ive tried the other 2 methods in the past with no luck. i did place 4 of these new ones, 1 in each corner of living room last night. no luck so far. weve gotten rid of our couches, shelves, and tons of our stuff that my husband has worked so hard for. all our linens & clothes have been washed and dried on high, they remain in bins, and we do linens once a week. the remainder of our kids toys and our dvds are in bags and bins sealed with nuvan strips. ive treated with cimexa around the house for the last 3 months. all mattresses and pillows are sealed with encasements and plastic sheeting taped around them too. our landlord has paid for a pmp twice (sprayed whatever they treat with) in the last month. i vacuum and discard contents every day. we found 1 dead one a month ago in our couch, thats why we threw them away, then we found 1 skin shed under our dvd shelf, thats why we threw them away. no other signs of them, except we continue to get bit. the pmp wants fo rule out delayed reaction (even though im certain their not) thats why im doing traps as he wants evidence its still an active infestation. we literally live out of totes theres nowhere for them to hide anymore. im broke i have no more money to fight these nasty things. do you have any other ideas of things i could do to rid us of these things? please, i hope you can help with ideas.
Help me dismiss this myth: My children school keeps telling me, Its not at their school. But my daughter came back home with several bites from school, several days. Which I had to take everything off at the door and wash even her bagpack. To avoid bringing it in here. Schools Do have bedbugs??
I have tried your system Does not work for me. I ended up having three large bottles producing a lot of C02, you could hear it hissing into the bowl. I have not had a single bug come into the bowl. I thought maybe no bugs, so I slept in the bed and got bitten maybe 100 times in two nights. I carry on with the C02 and still nothing. Not seen a single bug yet. But I have 100s of bites. So... for me, this does not work at all. Very disappointing as I spent a good week trying to make this work.
1. the traps will never work if you are always at home. BBs prefer a human host. 2.Check to see if your trap is burning too "hot". Too much Co2 is a turnoff for BB's. 3. minimize the gap between your fabric/tape on the sides of your trap and it's rim. It's almost better to have a little of that going slightly over the rim. The idea is to allow the BB to crawl into the lip of the trap and then let gravity take them the rest of the way in. 4. Don't just stop at building the traps. Put some CimeXa down ASAP, and wrap your mattresses in plastic sheeting sealed with duct tape. This is a process, a long war. Get used to that idea. The enemy also gets a vote.
It is two very old traditional wooden houses with mud walls that get rented out. Obviously not now - so are empty. We are in the middle of now where, so need a home solution. No one has been in there for around 10 days since we discovered them. I slept in there for two nights after maybe 7 days of trying your method, the first night I noticed nothing - second night I got whacked! Have tried everything, small shot glasses, plastic bowls, in 3 to 4 different locations in the rooms all at once, and then just one area for days at a time. Not a single bug has been caught and we followed all your instructions and cover the tap right into the blow for about 1 cm. We tested the bombs at 2.00am and put the pipe in a glass of water and they were bubbling away. I now have a small steamer delivered so plan to use that in all the rooms as there many cracks in the walls and wooden floor board 100s of years old and then spray with bleach and washing powder mix and vacuum. I was really hoping the C02 way would work as I need something to draw them out of the woodwork... literally. But not one single bug has been caught using your method....
Something isn't adding up. Even a poorly constructed trap would have attracted some BBs to the lure in an uninhabited dwelling. Even if they're not getting caught in the trap. Steam is a boondoggle. You would have to get the heat up to at least 120 F and get it directly on them for about 2 seconds to be fatal. Can you imagine how hard that is going to be trying to get steam onto an insect that has evolved for millions of years on how to hide from the tip of a bird's beak. Get some CimeXa and put that down ASAP.
Ordering the CimeXa now, if you have an affiliate link for Europe, happy to click on it. For sure something is not right, the active dry yeast mixed with sugar is definitely making C02, the tape on the outside will for sure let them climb, the talken powder we only tried after a few days. I will make a video tomorrow and send it to you so you can see, I have tried everything.... not a single bug has been caught.
Oh, i see now. Replace the duct tape that you're currently using to wrap the outside of your trap with adhesive sports tape (like boxers use to wrap their hands under their gloves). a roll should cost about 3 USD, Your results should improve dramatically.
Wow this was like a college-level course on Bed Bud physiology. Great info, thank you.

Sir, the yeast and sugar give off carbon dioxide (CO2) which attracts the bedbugs. It is a substitute for our exhaled breath.
Yes, the co2 trick them into thinking they've found a host (us).

Bed bugs are active from 11pm to about 5 30 am. If your a night owl they come out the wood works. They like to attack when they assume you are sleep.
You don't have to be poor to have bed bugs, bed bugs don't know how much money you have 😂
His point was that you can fight bed bugs even if you don't have much of an income

Thank You for the info Mr. Williams.
oh dear wilyams.. thanks alot..so great of yu to help others
very nice and informative video, your explanation is quite clear, however, it would have been great if you had a light in front of you because the shadow projected by your hat hides your face. Thanks for the video, you deserve a big like
Can you tell me how long the two liter bottle trap will continue to make CO2? It has been in place for over 12 hours now. Thank you so much for your videos.
Guy Curran . 2-3 weeks if you keep it out of direct sunlight
thanks Mr Williams
You're welcome, and please tell as many people as you can about how cheap and easy this trap is to build.
I made this just how you showed and its been there for a few weeks and no bugs have went to it
Great, now did you put down the CimeXa powder and practice mattress encasement like I also advised? Holla back when u complete the 3 steps of the Williams Method.
Ok I’ve been binge watching. What is the actual best working trap without the bottle and the bag? I watched that one last and it seemed to make sense that the c02 would be a cool second kill source but seemed like it could limit capture due to the rubber band. Plus the big bottle really limited discreet placement. Also the previous videos matter of factly stated not to carry the tape or cloth over the lip because some may not make it into the bowl. I’m building tbis today
Please read the comment sections. I have answered this questions in great detail before
I really appreciate the fact that you broke down the science behind this trap. I set up the trap in all sleeping areas twice. The first time my family was home the second time we weren't and no bugs were caught. How sure can we be that there isn't any infestation?
Trav B . oh you can look for the telltale reddish brown vertical lines along you mattress
Joel Z. Williams I have been looking and haven't found lines matching that description. We have been noticing small red marks on our bodies and wanted to rule out bed bugs.
Trav B . lift up the box spring, rip back the black lining and you will find them grouped together in one or two corners if you have them
Well we've been treating the issue assuming bed bugs were the culprits. So we have all bed covers on all of the beds. We have also been using pesticides as well but haven't seen a cease in markings on us. We have never actually seen a bed bug under the linings of mattresses or any where else for that matter through all of the spraying and moving things around.
TWO BIG TIPS if you are going to make this trap:
#1) Do use totally black athletic tape (found in weight lifter area of sports dept at walmart, $3) so you can see the EGGS that are laid all over the outside of the glass.
I did not have a glass bowl that was tall, so
I made this using a 6 inch tall glass from dollar store, which was actually easier to wrap, in one long piece of tape, going around and around instead of cutting off one piece of tape at a time.
Have you tried it???
So the yeast doesn't need to proof first? You said it did in the other videos.
We need to try this again. Last time we only found 1 bedbug.
Thank you
I have been going back/forth attempting to figure out whether my bites (total 3 sets of 2 lined up bites each, located approximately left knee bend, but on side of knee). HELP!!!!!!!
Judge Judy.
Please be sure to get some of that powder that I keep talking about.
Absolutely! Thank you!

What if you sleep in the same room. I've lived in a hotel room for 4 years now and just now got them from our neighbors.
Get that CimeXa quick!
You're awesome, Man.
Bro, the bugs can't crawl up and out of the trap?
Great information. Thanks.
Black & red, are the two colors that are hardest to get outa of paintbrushes. [ FYI ]
Getting a trap ready tonight.....
great job and video Sir
Thanks for that. I hope this helps you.
Could they crawl from apartment to apartment( my neighbours to my room)?
sin tax . Yes, and they are probably in the interior of the box spring mattress
When I use cimexa is it safe to sleep in the room with it
Yes, it's safe. Just wear a mask when you're applying it so you don't breathe it in.
I just made the CO2 trap and was wondering if wrapping the outside of the container with masking tape allows for the BB to climb up it?
Brenda Rivera . Yes
Good on you! Have you written you book, and if so where can I find it?Thanks for all your efforts.
Gaffers tape would be better than coloring the white tape
Great idea, from now on people, just use duct tape that's already colored: www.target.com/p/duck-tape-black-duct-2-x20-yd/-/A-14443369?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Home+Improvement+Shopping&adgroup=SC_Home+Improvement&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9007544&gclid=Cj0KEQiAxeTFBRCGmIq_7rGt_r8BEiQANdPqUgdJDOWjm-zrHTAub1zwSeFwdkqJ8eITH4Idd51HPa4aArj48P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
How long will the trap work before you need to make it again
approximately2 weeks
Any luck?
Brilliant Thank you sooo much for sharing 💯💯💯✅✅✌️✌️✌️
Does the awful smell from the sharpie marker keep them from the trap? Where to get black fabric tape?
Maxwell Bernstein you can get black tape from sporting goods store. Probably around the area where hockey sticks are.
Joel my hero! Cimexa or beauveria bassiana? If i had to only choose one.
CimeXa
That's nuts how do u not know u got hed bugs
Thank you you lovely man.xxx
You're welcome and I hope you see all the videos and subscribe
I watched your first video yesterday, and went and bought all the gold version of bed bug traps. I will put that out today. Should I use this videos method as well in my bathroom, kitchen and living room? Can these methods control bedbugs, or is it too late should a infestation occur?
It's never too late. I once had a guy in Nice France that had them so bad they were actually harboraging in the walls of a small apartment. He build 4 large traps and got rid of them all in about 8 weeks.
@@JoelZWilliams1 wow! That gives me some hope!!!!
@@JoelZWilliams1 It would be great if you could find a few minutes to come back and answer some of the questions here! THANK YOU Mr Williams!
@@JoelZWilliams1 HOW do we send pictures to you? I have pictures of the bedbugs eggs alllllllll over this trap you are showing us how to make. Work this...
Can I use this trap in one room at a time and just do it over and over in each room until theyre gone or do I have to leave my home?
I will show you that you can easily mimic using items from your kitchen:
ruclips.net/video/vGK4xI03YA8/видео.html
Joel Z. Williams thank you yes, my sheet doesnt hang off the top mattress at all , I was too worried they would be able to climb on it so its just folded in half on the very top. But ok I’ll try to do that with the cups, if I can get someone to help, thank you so much Mr Williams.
Joel Z. Williams one more question if you dont mind, bleach mixed with water kills them also am I correct, or is it just plain bleach by itself?
Does vick keep them away
No
Hi can water be Chlorine or should it be Natural water?
Misheel Tubshinbaatar .distilled water is best
oh ok ty for quick reply.
I thought that bed bugs only come out to feed early in the mornings, around 1-4 am ?
LaBeth Cooper . That's true of a well fed colony, but the truth is they will attempt to feed anytime you are still for a long time
@@JoelZWilliams1 since Covid-19 I'm home all the time and I'm just bored and sitting alot. Because of that they've reimmurged with a vengeance. I didn't think they were bed bugs. Can thesetraps work in your car? Even if the temp is cool?
yes, although I would recommend using a desiccant powder like CimeXa for that particular application. Less mess, and more effective. Please see my video on using that powder.
hy
what is the diffrence whit the other trap that you already posted ? sorry for my english
Meir Ankri . this trap is cheaper and easier to build but won't last as long as the other.
Ok thks for your work
can that powder stuff be sold at stores
Yes, you can order it online from Amazon, Bedbug Supply, Do-it-yourself pest control, and etc. for about $14 USD.
They will avoid this if you sleep in that room.
That's my problem
About how long will it last till you have to throw it out?
Tia 2 weeks if there in no direct sunlight
Tia also have you tried cimexa? I wanted to try it out but idk if it’s safe to sleep with it in the room
@@user-rb5yw1eg7j Not yet but Im going to get some from Amazon. I used some nonstick cooking spray and put in all around the baseboards and bed frame to make it too slippery for them, a lil messy but idc about that at the moment, that should trap them where they are and then Ill use the cimexa, the outlets are important to do
the smell from the marker wont effect the co2 aroma or detear them from it?
also....how long does this trap/detector last?
No, because they are a blood obligate insect they will not be deterred by that smell. Also, you can still make an effective trap without coloring the tape.
It should remain viable for about 2 weeks if you keep it out of direct sunlight.
thank you, hopefully these work, i had no luck with the other 2 methods
maybe you would have some ideas to help me. ive tried the other 2 methods in the past with no luck. i did place 4 of these new ones, 1 in each corner of living room last night. no luck so far. weve gotten rid of our couches, shelves, and tons of our stuff that my husband has worked so hard for. all our linens & clothes have been washed and dried on high, they remain in bins, and we do linens once a week. the remainder of our kids toys and our dvds are in bags and bins sealed with nuvan strips. ive treated with cimexa around the house for the last 3 months. all mattresses and pillows are sealed with encasements and plastic sheeting taped around them too. our landlord has paid for a pmp twice (sprayed whatever they treat with) in the last month. i vacuum and discard contents every day. we found 1 dead one a month ago in our couch, thats why we threw them away, then we found 1 skin shed under our dvd shelf, thats why we threw them away. no other signs of them, except we continue to get bit. the pmp wants fo rule out delayed reaction (even though im certain their not) thats why im doing traps as he wants evidence its still an active infestation. we literally live out of totes theres nowhere for them to hide anymore. im broke i have no more money to fight these nasty things. do you have any other ideas of things i could do to rid us of these things? please, i hope you can help with ideas.
exactly where does one place the trap?? under the bed or chair?
They usually feed at night while you sleep so yeah put the trap near where people sleep
What are bedbugs?I mean really i am not kidding never heard of them in my life.
Help me dismiss this myth:
My children school keeps telling me, Its not at their school.
