The early Adventist history is interesting. I don’t believe SDA will be the only ones saved, I’m just here because I haven’t found another church as close to the Bible. What really matters is when God shows you the truth that contradicts your current understandings, do you listen? The Old Testament talks a lot about the arrogant and prideful being removed. Zephaniah 3: 11-13 The people who remain have three characteristics: humility, honesty, trust in God.
You are correct. We are not the only ones to be saved. All true believers who never hear the truth but live righteously will be saved. But those who choose not to follow Christs true teachings will be lost.
We don’t teach that we are the only ones saved, nor do we believe we will be the only ones saves. Revelation 18 is calling all of God’s children out of Babylon, which means that God has many of His true children in the fallen apostate churches, but God doesn’t want them there - times of ignorance God winks at!
Zeph 3.11-13kjv doesnt necessarily speak on the arrogancy of the lost or any particular portions of the fruit of the Spirit. I do get what you are saying, however. Rev. 14.12 is a better reference point for the characteristcs of Gods end time people
Jesus has never given 100% truth to any one person or denomination..I believe if He did that one person or one denomination would become self important and attempt to Lord over people, rather than humbly proclaim His message....that being said I do believe that with the collective truth given to all of God's people, The SDA church contains the most light given to people since the time of Adam.

"The strict verbalist has a problem with Matthew 27:9, 10. Here Matthew does something that every teacher and preacher has done innumerable times. Matthew is probably thinking of one name, but out of his pen mistakenly comes another name. As he applies a Messianic prophecy to Christ--the prediction that He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver--he attributes the prophecy to Jeremiah. However, in all the book of Jeremiah, there is not one reference to this prophecy. The alert reader will recognize that Matthew actually meant to attribute this prophecy to Zechariah (chap. 11:12, 13).

Of course Matthew is not making a "mistake". Roger Coon doesn't understand that in Jesus' day, several books of the Bible were often bound together and called by the name of the most famous book.

Why is it that everyone has a problem with preachers talking about or focusing on the 4th cammandment?? Its the only one that says (remember) because God forsaw the whole world would forget!!!! And its the one cammandment that was changed by the Catholic church. The Catholic church even calls themselves the mother of protestants churches. The sabbath identifies God as (creator) of heaven and earth. Its the official seal of God. Why do people want to forget and do away with such a blessing.
Thankful to GOD for HIS servant, E.G. White. However, GOD founded this church. We are in Revelation 10.
Ellen is not a servant of the real God of the Bible. She contradicts, and adds to the Bible. A real servant would never do that. The evil one is the real source of all of her information.
In every church there are both wheat and tares. This does not mean that the entire Church is apostate. All through the Bible we see a remnant who remain faithful to God. The SDA Church is the one that most honors God and practices what the Bible teaches. Praise the Lord God and give thanks to Him for His beloved Church.
The sda church is just another daughter of the MOTHER OF HARLOTS. It's members are NOT the definition of the remnant and the trinity is a catholic love; a counterfeit Godhead.

My view is, the GC doctrine #2 in the 28 fundamental beliefs destroys the personality of our Lord, God Almighty, of the only begotten Son of the living God, and of the Holy Spirit of God, all 3.
The trinity doctrine denies God the Father, relegating Him to part of a coeternal coequal 3 part god where they are subservient and equal to each other with none above another; and denies the Son of God demoting him to a metaphorical son with a metaphorical father, and turns the Holy Spirit of God, into a god himself, god the holy spirit. Somewhere it says they even determined among themselves who would play what role in the trinity.
The SDA Church used to honor the Living God, and His Son, but the trinity changed that. Now they publish books like The Trinity, teaching us that it’s ok to pray to god the holy spirit, while also stating there is NO biblical support. Jesus, our Mediator, the only Way to the Father told us how to pray, to the Father, in His name. “Invoking” the trinity and praying to the holy spirit is a papal practice, but is now spreading through the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
In your spiritual life, keep honoring God, the Lord Almighty, YHWH, and His only begotten Son, our redeemer, and the Holy Spirit of God, but know that, as she warned, the church has changed, very slowly before sister White died, and more rapidly in secret after her death, and finally made official with a vote in 1980. The SDA church is a trinitarian church that worships the god of the trinity, just like nearly all the fallen Protestant churches. But all we talk about is the Sabbath, when Who we worship is more vital than when. Last day events, we know is all about worship of the image of the beast, not only when but Who. Probation is closing very soon. God be with you.

You may claim as much as you like, but majority of your doctrines are not normal Christian doctrine and practices. Sabbath keeping as God's seal, Sunday worship is the mark of the beast, Sunday law, Investigative Judgement, Jesus as Michael the archangel, Satan as our scapegoat and many more are false teachings and we Christians have the duty to expose you and your false beliefs.
SDA completely misinterpret the Bible. They read themselves into the text.
This message provides valuable insight into current schisms through the lens of Adventist history. Anybody in the Seventh-day Adventist church who teaches, preaches or otherwise raises the banner, would do well to understand this history. Only the times have changed. The methods have not.

My mother was a student at Avondale when Desmond Ford studied there. When I did my nursing training at the San, he was "revered".
Coming back to the church after years away, I was rather astonished at the upheaval which had occurred. It's so very sad that there are offshoots all the time. When Ellen White books are read, in conjunction with the Bible, you can just feel the Holy Spirit in action. Thankyou for this great sermon.

Yep, that's true, but if you read that whole bible verse, jesus said that he might bring them to the same sheepfold. God doesn't have many sheepfold, it's only one. Jesus is calling his sheep from the gate of that sheepfold and his sheep they exactly know his voice. There's only one gate to that sheepfold. In front of that gate, you can see the safety of that sheepfold have been written. It's 10 safety rules that call the 10 commandments. You must obey these safety rules b4 you walk in. God bless 🙌

Be careful. The story of the ten virgins applies to us. God also (when referring to the Laodicean church) rebukes half. Make sure you don’t follow the mob (including your leaders) but be discerning and pray for clarity and understanding. Can't help notice non Adventist comments and concerns. Adventist are called tō deliver a special message of warning before the plagues Rev 15-16. Equally, Adventists are also held accountable tō God if they refused tō do so. God have His people in mother denominations, and also in the world, in other religions, muslims who lived up tō all the lights they had. Jesus says, I have other sheep not of this fold, them shall I also bring into this fold. Adventists are more accountable tō God because of the amount of light they receive, and are punished accordingly if they failed.
Our actions and the way we act and handle ourselves sometimes is our only way of ministering. Especially at work

When a person believes it's counted to him or her as righteousness. God imputes HIS righteousness to the one who believes. There is NO controversy or end time crisis for ANY SAVED believer. I pray you will find THAT peace in HIS finished work.
The Adventist church has been shaken many times. Many times their own administrators, pastors and college professors have brought the truth to the church from very early times to this century. Unfortunately the brethren are more interested in maintaining the status quo than bringing the true gospel to SDA’s

Most of God's faithful followers are in other churches. That is one of the first things we sdas will tell you. There will be a polarization. All people will have to make a decision as to whether they want the Seal of God or the mark of the beast. When faced with a death decree many people will choose the mark of the beast.

The biggest fear we have, , , , "is that we believe we will be alright, , , with our basic Christian lifestyle?/ But indeed it is not, , the one word in the O.T is "come" (out of her my people?) and the main word in the N.T. is clearly , , "Go" (spread the 3 angels message?) we need to remember we are a movement, , with a charge and a duty?

It has often been presented to me that there should be LESS SERMONIZING by MINISTERSs, acting merely as local pastors of churches, and that greater personal efforts should be put forth. Our people should not be made to think that they need to listen to a sermon every Sabbath. Many who listen frequently to sermons, even though the truth be presented in clear lines, LEARN BUT LITTLE. Often it would be more profitable if the Sabbath meetings were of the nature of a Bible-class study. 21 LtMs Lt 192
Brother, I urge you to study the message of 1888, which the church passes over with ease. E.G.W. it has 1800 pages written on the subject of 1888, so the Lord considered giving us a volume of information as much as the Holy Scriptures on the subject of 1888. Do we think it is important? Please look for the books of Jones and Waggoner, Wieland and Short and may God guide you. I personally think that the Message given at Minneapolis in 1888 was supposed to be the latter rain, as E.G.W. said. She also told me that if the advent people received the message sent by the Lord through brothers Jones and Waggoner, the message of the 3rd angel would have been proclaimed all over the earth and in less than 4 years, the Lord would have returned to the earth .

EGW also says the shaking is a settling into the truth where you cannot be moved. Since she passed away, many errors have entered into the church. The wheat is still in the truth and the tares have come away from the truth.

I think the title of the book you want is actually Spiritual Gifts and volume 1 and 2 are sold together as one book. There is a volume 3 and 4 also, these books are at Pacific Press.

It is up to us, as SDA members to remember our history. We have a good history. Use it as a guide.
We know how EGW. felt about the kkk and fascism in the form of American slavery. We know how Christ felt about treatment of the poor.

There appears to be a shaking in many churches. God specifically states in Rev.18:4 'Come out of her, my people'. They have to be in something to come out of it. It's Babylon. Apostate religion. Any religion where allegiance and obedience to God is not going on. Revelation may have symbols, but it explains those symbols. The 3 angels message explicity tells us what to do and what not to do. It's all about worship. Whose authority will you choose. Christ or Satan. Satan wants your worship. Revelation defines what both are.
Roger could it be that God intended to reach the living and change our focus from the dead😮

The sda church is struggling but I believe it’s lighting the world with the truth while many other churches are darkening. I would try an sda church but hold to the word of God. Satin will attempt to attack you no matter the direction you go. Prayerfully consider visiting. You might be pleasantly surprised.

If you keep the Sabbath and wait for the second Advent of Jesus you are an SDA somehow. But we need to take some other pillar to make in order to become SDA like the pure early SDA. Some of the pillars are: One God, Only Begotten Son, the Holy Spirit of God and of Christ, the Sabbath, the state of the death, sanctuary truth, hell truth, 1000 years truth, real heaven truth, the law and righteousness by faith. When we stand in these pillars of truth we cannot become Presbyterian anymore. Our profession should be in harmony with our faith. I feel that I cannot claim to be Pentecostal and act like Adventist. People will confuse our stand and beliefs. Hope this help.

Keeping the Father's appointed times is important if you love Him but becoming an SDA is the dangerous part. They have many unbiblical doctrines they will try to make you believe to join. There are many 7th day keepers, that are not so dangerous. The Messiah never called for us to join denominations but to follow him. Denominations make man-made rules to join their "club" the bible alone should be our standard of life. SDAs will say they are sola scriptura, but that is not true. One of the "fundamental beliefs" is they hold Ellen White to be authority and they adhere to her more than scripture. The lay people have no clue that the leaders voted in 1919 to continue the lies as to Ellen's supposed visions from God and the failed prophesies. Chech out Test the Prophet on RUclips, he has a sweet spirit and shows proof with a heart of love and concern. Also, Dr. Allen Davis who worked for Amazing Facts and Weimar has a great channel.

If your problem is with EGW then say so and I will prove to you from the Bible that the gift of prophecy is a gift given to the church and that if you want to know what God’s “remnant “ church is you will find that in Revelation 12 and Revelation 19:10. As a Seventh Day Adventist I have trouble understanding how, when the Bible says that we will not remember the things of this world, preachers say they have things about this life that they are going to ask God when they get to heaven. Surely this contradicts what we are told in the Bible.
Interesting isn't it.. egw also says we're going to continue studies that we've down here in heaven and the new Jerusalem. How is that possible if we're not going to remember the former world...(i guess these things aren't revealed)

@@alpenjup2970 Do you mean Matt 3:12 & Luke 3:17? this is still the wicked(Ps 1:4, Ps 35:5, Isa 5:24) from among the just at His coming, but there does seem to be a separation in the present day of the left hand from the right hand(Isa 41:13) or the goats from the sheep(Matt 25:31-46) as His sheep know His voice(Isa 5:20, Pro 17:15)
Check book from 1888, THE GREAT CONTROVERSY, last 15 chapters will blow you away, insights for our times!!
And the entire book of the original, 1858 Great Controversy is even more powerful!

Remember, the church is not a denomination . The Church of Christ are those who follow him, follow the truth. Remember he said eternal life is based on knowing the father and son. See John 17:3. The father is the one true God. The whole General Conference Seventh-day Adventist Church has actually left the church. They have stepped off the platform and accepted false teachings about the trinity. The only way to be a part of the remnant is to be like they were at the beginning of this moment, the first 50 years . Nontrinitarian. Those of us who have accepted the truth about God, the truth that God is not a trinity have come back to the truth and are a part of God's true church.

Well, let’s look at what the Bible has to say about that shall we. First and foremost, it’s not some exclusive group, anyone who wants to accept Christ as His Saviour, who repents and chooses to follow Him can join His church. That being said, Christ only has ONE church - there are thousands of denominations, but Christ only has one true church. In Matthew 16:18 Christ speaks in the singular when He tells Peter that “upon this Rock I will build My CHURCH”. Ephesians 4:5 - ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism. You have Revelation 19: 7-9 Revelation 19:7-9 - Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his WIFE hath made herself ready. Again, singular, the CHURCH is His Bride and Christ does not have many brides, He has ONE bride, ONE wife!
How do we know which church is Christ’s church? We can find that out in Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with THE WOMAN, and went to make war with the REMNANT of her seed, WHICH KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS Christ. So God’s “remnant “ (end time) church will be distinguishable by two items. First, they will keep the 10 commandments. That rules out every church that worships on Sunday as His Church because they don’t keep ALL 10 as they violate the 4th commandment. That isn’t to say God doesn’t have sheep (His people, His children) is Sunday worshipping churches because He does. The Bible say in John 10:16 “And OTHER SHEEP I HAVE, WHICH ARE NOT OF THIS FOLD: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; AND THERE SHALL BE ONE FOLD, and one shepherd.” But He doesn’t want His sheep in the false churches as He calls them out of them in Revelation where we read in chapter 18:2-4 “…Babylon is fallen, is fallen…..come out of her my people…” (condensed). So God’s church will keep the 7th day Sabbath holy, so we are now left with about 500 different groups and churches that hallow the Sabbath day of the fourth commandment. How do we know which one of those is Christ’s end time church on Earth? His church will also be distinguished by the fact that it will have “the TESTIMONY OF JESUS Christ”. What is that? The Bible doesn’t leave us guessing, it tells us exactly what that is in Revelation 19:10 - “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have THE TESTIMONY JESUS: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus IS the spirit of PROPHECY.” The SDA church is the only church that keeps all 10 commandments and has been given the Spirit of Prophecy through the ministry of Ellen G. White. This is God’s church, and all those who wish to join God’s end time church are certainly welcome - it’s not like it belongs to us.
What about the commandment of faith and love. Don't only stress the fourth. We don't love...it tells by our actions. Anything done without faith is a sin. That also is a commandment.
Keeping the commandments includes all of them. So, for example, the LGBT lifestyle needs to be overcome not encouraged or celebrated. Any coercive agent is not of God. God knocks. We open or not. God gives His law. You chose to follow it or not. As Satan compels all to worship you will see the difference and know whom to choose.

You must correctly define the “church”. So many want to define the church as being the conference. “Gods faithful souls have constituted the church from the beginning” AA 11. If you not are faithful you are not a member of Gods church. You have to live according to light that you have. This is why there are many of Gods people in other Denominations. God will come when a literal 144,000 people will accept all Gods commandments and live by them. The 144,000 will consist of Sda’s and “gentiles”.
