      If you're talking about that first team that lost on the $75,000 question. I hate when a team loses at that level or lower because of teammates not getting to play.

    • @artvandelay7687
      @artvandelay7687 5 лет назад +4

      That's Greed, the majority of losing contestants lost because of someone else's decision. If we're talking about feeling bad for contestants who didn't answer a question, then the three contestants I feel bad for are the three who did not get to answer a question on teams that had no qualifying question (guy in $100K seat on team that lost on $75K question about Kodak colors and the two people in the $75K and $100K seats on the team that lost on the $50K question about Eugene Cernan). In this college Greed episode they all had the QQ, so think of that as the first question of the game, and their opportunity to play.
      Note: I also feel bad for Dan Avila because I don't think it was made clear to him that there wouldn't be any bailout for 3 correct answers at his $2.2M question.

    • @hiltonlive32grnrngr
      @hiltonlive32grnrngr 5 лет назад +3

      @@artvandelay7687 If there's anyone on Dan Avila's team I personally feel bad for, it's Jackie Brakeman (the blonde lady in the $50,000 seat). Why? She was taken out of the game by Curtis Warren before the $1 million question. I really liked her. When Curtis challenged her to that terminator match, she was visibly upset, whining "Why me?" and in the brief split second you barely see her face, when she's hanging her head down on her way off the set, it seems to me like she couldn't get off the stage fast enough so she can go cry her eyes out backstage. Too bad she was a little slow in ringing in. But hey that's Fox for ya. Also, since she IS a historian, I like to think that if only she was faster than Curtis on that buzzer on that Teddy Roosevelt question, she would've won. If there's a reason why I dislike Curtis even more for challenging Jackie it's because (this was talked about on the Google Groups forums and confirmed by a contestant on the show named Tom Galloway, from the 11/18/1999 episode) she had fainted after they'd won that $500,000 question about cheese, probably from a panic attack. But to be rational, I guess i could see how that would make her prey for a Terminator match. Worse yet, later that following February in that Dan vs. Jackie Million Dollar Moment at the end of the losers episode, she ended up reliving that nightmare by losing ANOTHER terminator match before ANOTHER Million Dollar Question and ended up going back home with nothing but the clothes on her back... AGAIN! Well, both teams of losers who they invited back for that episode ended up losing again and even Dan Avila lost again at that Million Dollar Question on tourism destinations but at least he ended up winning $100,000 on WWTBAM four years later. I still have yet to see Jackie go on another game show and win at least some of that $200,000 that Curtis stole from her because I feel worse for her than I do for Dan.

      @@hiltonlive32grnrngr you have to admit though, Curtiss was a pretty smart man. He said we got this. This is easy money! Then when he returned he got his answers right off. I remember on his 100k question he said it's a no brainer. When you're on a gameshow like Greed that's what happens. People are out there for money, and he new he could beat Jackie. So while I feel bad for Jackie, that's how games go.

    Wished they would’ve kept with the College themed questions. That SNL Question was Stupid.
    Here’s a $500K Question for a College themed episode of Greed;
    “Which 4 are the Most Popular College Majors of 2023?!”
    - Biology / Biomedical ❌
    - Business ✅
    - Communications /Journalism ❌
    - Engineering ✅
    - Health ✅
    - Psychology ❌
    - Sociology / History ✅

    • @AA-dd3we
      @AA-dd3we 27 дней назад

      The concept of the question is very very good (kudos to you for that) but the answers are a little vague. Sociology and History being grouped together doesn't make much sense, nor does Communications / Journalism or Biology / Medicine. BUT the concept - most common majors - is good, so again, props to you for that one. I'm a trivia writer in real life and last time I hosted Greed games for my friends, I did one with a specific university that published the most common majors (UC Davis). That was a fun one.
      Whenever you make and write trivia questions, for anything like Greed or fun, always make sure you have the highest quality sourcing possible. People have been sued and fired because game show stuff they wrote was wrong. That probably won't be you but it's just a little tip.
      One day I hope they bring Greed back. A TV journalist argued in a 2019 essay that a streaming service like Netflix could 100% bring it back.
