Not only did he do better against Granolah than Goku did against a clone of Granolah at the start of the saga, we know his base form is much stronger than Goku's thanks to his Spirit Control training that made him stronger than an overclocked Ultra Instinct Omen Goku in just SSBE.

Honestly I'm notmuch of a fan of having fans perceiving ultra ego as something demonic when it's nature is more of a god of destruction although its fair to speculate evolution of the state but it doesn't work like that to begin with for starters its more like how vegeta accessed his god forms where he imitates beerus ki signature allowing him to tap into god ki but ultra ego is an advance version of that probably due to spirit control and he goes deeper on the ki signiture taping into god of destruction ki so basically ultra ego can have this evolution where he can use it in a way like god aura that jiren and toppo uses which is the version of ssj god in other races bur better nd much powerful , the other possibility is he aquire a technique similar to kaioken base on how ultra ego aNd kaioken works we know where this is going next is applying the principles ofhis god forms like blue and blue evolution along with its augmented and perfected states , the next possibility is if he uses the same principle as ssj rose and use his regular ssj forms ,grades ,powerhouse method to evolve ultra ego ,the next is have spirit control and ultra ego be balanced since it can serve as representation of his both sides where his ultra ego represents his saiyan nature while spirit control is his development in earth
