    Regarding the Silver Soldier Quest, there is only a time limit to accept the quest from the Hunters Guild. Once you have accepted it, there is no time limit to complete it. The dungeon remains open until you complete the quest. You may not even want to complete it, since you lose access to it once it's completed. Vahal Fort is the best place to level in the game.

    I played this game countless times it’s one of my all time favourites
    Here are some tips:
    Do not enter a fight while riding a vehicle (Land-rover, ice digger or Hydrofoil) because you get only have one party member ‘the vehicle’ only get one turn and one hp bar, so enemies will likely gang up on you and immediately kill you, so flee from those battles, exp and money is low anyway
    Party order, put your strongest characters first, Wren Grys Demi etc and your mages at the back, Androids Wren and Demi regain HP every step they take so they are best to be put first in battle
    Give your mages Rune, Raja 2 shields, it will boost their defence, don’t give them rods the rods are two handed weapons and give little attack and defence boost so they are better having 2 shields and casting techs and skills
    Use the Hinas and Ryoku tech spells to teleport out of dungeons when you are lost or your party is dying, All towns you visited you can use the Ryoku spell to teleport to them
    When you are lost or not sure where to go next, use the ‘talk’ command on the menu, this will trigger a dialogue between the current party members and give you a clue on what to do next
    Sorry for the long comment

      Thanks for sharing your tips!
      In regard to the vehicle fights, you can certainly loose a battle if you do not pay attention, which means "game over" because the vehicle explodes and kills everyone, but I found that if you use the vehicles bomb, napalm and other abilities, it is easy to quickly wipe the screen. But yes, you do not get any significant amount of Exp and money.
      Man, i frequently forgot to use the "talk" command during my playthrough. In addition to giving directions, its a nice touch for each character to state their opinion or thoughts on the current objectives. Thanks for reminding. ;)
      And I am not a fan of giving mages two shields. Just feels wrong for me and I get flashbacks from those Knights in Dark Souls, who are guarding some doors with two Tower Shields in hands. ;)
      But yes, its certainly mor efficient than giving them staffs...

      The problem with the Vehicle abilities they are regarded as skills, so you have a limit on how many you can use and they can only be resorted by heal point or sleeping at an inn
      The only criticism I have of this game is making staffs two handed weapons and they give little stats boost, they should have at least be one handed, so you can equip a shield on the other hand to boost defence because the mages have low defence and really need shields to stay alive

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah once you run out of missiles and bombs, you are in trouble. ;)
      They really could have tweaked the equipment stats for staffs a little bit, but I also enjoyed that enemies really posed a threat to my party (especially the low defense chars) and I had to find solutions by using buffs and debuffs.

    one tip I wish I knew, Raja has a skill that restores tp for your whole party. Probably the most powerful skill in the game imo

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  3 месяца назад +1

      Good hint, its really useful. If I remember correct, there is no other way to restore tp other than resting and Rajas skill right?

    Very good first hints for new players
    One thing that is often missed and not understood by new players worth mentioning: you can change your party order and the 1st in front will be attacked more often than the last guy.
    Also double shield is a more than valid strategy for wizards (especially with items that can infinitly cast spells without any cost)
    I love the game. Thx for the video

      I knew that giving someone two shields was a thing but it kind of feels wrong. :) Reminds me of the knights in Dark Souls (3?), who stand in front of doors with two shields up, blocking the path forward.
      The game is so good that i now want to play the first entries...

    As for the macro ordering combo tip, You don't need to make the slowest character in the party act first to prevent interrupts. Just either the slowest member of the combo first if order doesn't matter or the next slowest party member. (i.e. if characters go in 1-2-3-4-5 order and you want 2 and 3 to combo in that order a macro that does 1-4-2-3-5 will trigger to combo immediately after 4 acts because 2 and 3 will act immediately after 4 acts)

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thats true, I realized that later and it shows in the video that putting Hahn as the first character for the Triblaster also works because the order does not matter. So you might not necessarily need to get a whole round of enemy attacks in your face. ;)

    Oh, once you get the Psycho wand, abuse the hell out of it. It removes enemy buffs and works outside of the Zio's fight.
    I believe it was a dev mistake as the wand probably should of been removed or sellable but it remains stuck with you, but yeh. Surprise Lashiec when he Reinforces and makes the last fight moments more annoying just straight up Thanos snap the buff lol.

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the tip. :) I will likely play through the game once again, maybe even on stream at some point after I finish the first two entries. I will try and remember the psycho wand trick for that occasion.
      Is there a chance that it was intended to keep the wand and use it against Lashiec for example?

    • @Max-ej4oh
      @Max-ej4oh 4 месяца назад

      @@TobiContinued93 I believe it was not intended, works everywhere in the game, those heavy buffs enemies put themselves can get stripped off with the wand, Lashiec is just one of many that can be used on.

    Those are some really good tips. I enjoyed the game the first time I played through it but I was sure I wasn't getting the full grasp on how to best play it. I just finished Phantasy Star II and will be getting into IV again pretty soon and I've learned a lot of lessons and fully expect an even more fun and satisfying playthrough.

      I am so down to playing the previous three games, preferably starting with Phantasy Star 1... but I have no way right now to play the first one (except for emulation). Phantasy Star 2 and 3 at least are on the Switch...

      @@TobiContinued93very late comment, but phantasy star 1 should be available on switch. I bought it a couple years ago, so I'm not sure it's still there, but check for it. It has modern updates, like a map for the first person dungeon sections.

      @@TobiContinued93 no problem. What did you think of phantasy star 1? It's the best looking 8 bit game I've personally ever seen, and although it has aged, it still holds up in my opinion. I hope you enjoyed it!
