Chorus:
I forgive you
We were just a couple of kids
Tryna figure out how to live, doing it our way
No shame, no blame
'Cause the damage is done
And, and I forgive you
I forgive you
We were busy living the dream
Never noticed the glass ceilings falling in on us
No shame, no blame
'Cause the damage is done
And, and I forgive you

This song has a little love, a bit of emotion, and a whole lot of tegridy!
LOVE THIS COMMENT!!!
Nothing but good ol Tegridy😎👌
Weed can't solve all your problems, but Tegridy can.
Tegridy weed

Man, that South Park special was wild
Guess we really did need a little Tegridy. As much as I hate to admit it
Remember: Weed cant solve all your problems. But tegridy can
And now we're here

@@alehanndroxD well half the people will be happy about that and others won’t be
I never thought I'd tear up at the end of a South Park episode. Lost several friends during this COVID bullshit to addiction and mental health. Tell your friends you love them.
yoo me too this ep was amazing im still super emotional about it all >.
@Pawsome Everest yeah, this was the most emotional south park episode. good to know im not the only one who cried
@@hanswurst4760 I cried too.
when you realise you're going to end up like cartman
I fear for the loss of freedom and human rights,Let people get their jab and dont force others to do so.live and let live. but i am so sick of the division, the world isnt fun anymore. Everybody is being set up against eachother and i want to go back to 10 years ago where the world and people made sense and there used to be fun. People werent busy with skin colours or political opinion or scared over a virus trying to inject the entire world with force, before social media took over. Just look how insane our world has gotten in 1 decade.
Trey and Matt have a great taste in music
Yes
Great taste in legendary music
trey is a good musician himself.
Good taste does not even do them justice. They are arguably among the greatest artists to have ever existed.
“We were just a couple of kids, trying to figure out how to live doing it our way” as a life long South Park fan, all I can say is damn. That ending was heartwarming and depressing at the same time
bittersweet to the end
if south park ended here i wouldn’t be upset
Agreed it was agreat ending
I was so happy to see how much improvement Timmy has made to himself
Yeah, I noticed that. Good for him.
good catch.
Jimmy, too. He actually got everyone to laugh genuinely.
God bless us, everyone! 🙏
I’m here from the South Park special. I teared up from the ending. Seeing how everyone forgave each other and how everyone grew up just really hit me in the feels. They couldn’t have ended it any better than that. Absolutely loved it ❤️🔥
The letter adult Stan gave to Randy was the cherry on top
YES ME 2
Man, I almost cried watching the whole scene. It was so emotional. I've grown up watching this show and now seeing them middle-aged with kids hit right in the feels, but it's not just that, the fact that Stan and Kyle finally had their happy ending was so, so comforting :') and even though I don't really like Cartman, I felt bad for him, or just his first future-self and family, he literally gave up everything at the end bc he loved them (and yeah, I know what he did in the entire series, he's not a saint but I still feel empathy yk, he's a fictional character after all). Either way, this was the best episode South Park aired 'til now, IMO. Outstanding.
I think that's what's so cool about watching the last 24 years. Cartman was evil but to see so much change in 2 movies. It's like you're watching someone grow up
It is the most emotional series scene in south park to date. (by far) Definitely a tear jerker.
Ngl I straight cried
I wasn't expecting insightful South Park discussion, but that's what brought me here, and I'm glad I found it.
I choose to forgive and understand because i'll never forget.
Poor Cartman, he had it all. Man, that ending was shockingly intense.
yeah, he was right with everything he said. they could have made him at least rich or something like that. a sad, lonely, but at least rich man
Yesss!!!! I thought I was the only one who came here from the pandemic special 😂
So glad to see us all here for the same reason. 💜 #CancelSouthPark
Lol, it's just a show. Don't worry guys, it would not happened because it is not based on the timeline
People forget all the awful stuff Cartman has done, murder and so much more. It was his real destiny since he was truly irredeemable.
"Everything is going to be okay now, Dad.
This present is for you. Because I love you."
-Stan
this is often forgotten about. Also an amazing moment!
legit made me cry. sometimes not many words are needed
@@BreakingBlade You big girl! I may have teared up a little too. 😢
I'm 44 years old.
I Cried.
A Lot.
And feel myself a real man by doing that.
Never in a million years did I think Cartman himself would actually change. The part where they worked together to right their wrongs was honestly beautiful. Shalom everyone ♥️ Happy Holidays.
It’s arguably Kyle who is the most selfish in this story. He literally says “Cartman’s life is happy while you’re alone” as justification for what he’s doing. The ending is a gut punch.
Cartman did so many horrible things growing up and still did sh!t to adult Kyle. I think it had a bigger impact when he gave up his life than Kyle or Stan
Merry Christmas
I think the imagery of Cartman’s wife reminding him that she loved him because he was better than the man he was showing while beating up Kyle was very impactful and heart warming. Cartman made the ultimate sacrifice proving he was actually the man she loved, a good and honest man of faith who ultimately did the right thing for the sake of others. HIS ending is dark and sad but the broken homeless Cartman is not the same one what made that sacrifice and he earned the ending he got through a life of misery and hate. It’s heartbreaking for us the viewer because we know what could have been.
@@ICGvids Butters saying what did you expect hurt. It was like kicking someone while they're down

Who’s here from South Park? That ending was beautiful.
A lot of people it seems
Me
Not for Cartman
Not for Eric. 😕
EXTRAORDINARY
This song really did fit the South Park special. I honestly hoped things would’ve been better for Cartman. Yeah he’s horrible, but he loved his family. He had changed. Wish he had still gotten that chance.
Same
Agreed wish there was a way to squish the two futures together
I bet Rabbi Cartman went to talk to his younger self about his future. But of course, Cartman thought it was BS and went, "Wha-eva! I'll do what I want, bitch!"
Cartman screwed his future self twice!
I wished cartman stayed Rabbi and he and Kyle became best buddies
Same as both their wives and Kyle wife being fat with red hair kinda
Looking like his mother with a daughter with red hair going what What with her mother every-time Someone cursed and a son that is like the same age both named cartman/kyle that keep flipping each other off
It did fit
I liked the ending but I really felt sad knowing that Cartman had to sacrifice his beloved family to save the rest of the world. At the first I thought he was doing everything to annoy Kyle but in the second part I realized he did care about them and the fact that he even stopped Kyle's death just to be forgotten by everyone was really really depressing.
I think Cartman found a way to be himself while hating Kyle. Cartman had it all and he was happy. Then gave that back to society
That really tugs at my heart strings.
He was like Jesus. Sacrificed himself for our good.
it was a redemption story. cartman give it all up in order to save everyone else. as much as hes been a horrible person it goes to show that you can change. while cartman lost everything; he lost at the sacrifice of others. I never really liked cartman for being racist and nasty to butters and everyone else and being needlessly evil; but now seeing what he became after being away from those two toxic assholes (yes like it or not kyle and stan are not the best kids either) he changed so much as actually became a good person in the end. it wasn't until he was back around kyle and stan that he started to turn nasty again. I think the creators wanted to do eric justice and show him actually doing something good for once and it honestly was the best thing i've watched on tv in a while.
@@fuhayo Cartman not he*
Cartmen sacrificed his everything for humanity ❤ ... he might be the worse throughout the show but he's the ultimate hero ... such a sad ending 😥
Ikr
The worst part is no one will ever know, not even himself
That is a fate that is befitting Cartman and something close to reality. A lifetime of evil cannot be redeemed with a single act of good, after all. That's not how it works in real life.
"He's the ultimate hero"
Until you remember he had a kids parents murdered and then fed them to the kid.
@@gamepapa1211 I cant believe how much the parallels between Eric and Jesus, being that both of them are Jews and made the world a better place by doing the singular act of sacrifice, isnt mentioned more
I honestly didn't expect the ending we got from this episode. A surprisingly real life approach for the ending really choked me up. Seeing how Stans mom is alive and how life caught up to Cartman. Surprisingly wholesome ending that choked me up a bit.
South Park is the best adult cartoon of all time.

Damn this episode. Comedy comedy … dramatic monologue. Super meaningful ending that was completely unexpected.
Not sure if Matt and Trey intended that to be a tear jerker but it just was.
They could have come out and said “ok that’s it no more SP” and I would have been happy with that ending.

This last episode of South Park has the most beautiful ending, I forgive you and I forgive me. We all make wrong decisions that can affect our lives, sadly we can’t go back in time to change what we did wrong but we can forgive each other and try to live with what we have, nobody is perfect. Cartman sacrificed his own happiness to have a better childhood and a better future for everyone knowing that his beloved family will be vanished from existence. He is the hero of this show we all watch the show pretty much for him. Beautiful song

One precedented time. #SouthPark
This tune ROCKED the end of a recent South Park special and gave it real emotional oomph, thanks for letting them use it!
Damn, that ending hit me hard. I've been in it for the long haul since 1997. Continue the epic journey Matt and Trey.
The whole time I was waiting for Cartman to pull a “Haha got you Kyle, made you think I was a rabbi!” But he actually was genuine and redeemed himself. Who would have thought Cartman was the hero of South Park?
It’s amazing how people change from child to adult. In my opinion, Carman ACTUALLY redeemed himself after that. He gave up everything for the greater good, but nobody will ever know.
Doesn’t make it fair, though.
fugitivehunter Exactly right. That moment at the end with a destitute Cartman really got me. But I feel having such an honest and unfair ending adds to the authenticity. Not everyone wins. People lose. And his sacrifice for everyone else’s happiness came at a major price.
That's why it took me until the end of the episode to root for Eric, because I doubted him until the very end.
But he was telling the truth.
Even if he started the pandemic, credit Randy for knowing that Tegridy was the key to everything hahah. Part 1 was so good, but Part 2 had me howling multiple times.
Part of it was Randy’s punishment and his redemption on what he’d done
That ending made my life complete :,)
Same though I fell bad for Cartman
You stole cartman's life
*chug chug*
“Fuck you, guys!”
“You can suck my dick!”

Cos Trey and Matt are sweet. Super sweet!
That was the best South Park special. Got me in my feelings, you gotta give credit where credit is due, even toilet humor and turn into gold, with valuable lessons.

No matter where they go from here Post COVID was the canon south Park ending in my mind, everything was done to perfection. Simply amazed at how good this show can still be after 25 years.
i rarely ever cry, as in maybe 5 or 6 times a year, i would've never predicted one of those times would be in 2021 to south park, now this song has got me as well, on loop after the special

How we all ended up here from south park.. True friendship is important always.

I'll be honest, I was really thinking it was a long-hall troll.

I love how when South Park plays a pop song, fans comment on the YT video en masse. South Park and the fans support the artist. Now that's Tegridy!
I'm only here because of South Park. Matt and Trey are creators who have done exemplary work so far, and that’s where the Post Covid 2-part short films came in, in which things were cut into our face with twists and turns that were a pleasure to watch. I thank them in this sea of shit for being able to laugh and grieve at the same time, giving me an emotional roller coaster that I am happy to recommend to everyone. Also, the genre in which the music is made isn’t really my taste and yet I sit here listening for the twentieth time and reflecting on the films as well as my own life under Covid. Thanks to them and Kelly Clarkson too. Be strong, shit will happen.
South Park really hit it out of the park with that last one, and Kelly Clarkson is a huge reason for it.
I wouldnt be surprised if Trey put this song because his daughter liked it. He's definitely a great dad.

South Park has definately had darker, more emotional moments over the years but i've never actually cried at an episode. But man... after everything we've been through in the last two years i could really just use a hug. Or maybe some tegrity.
Coming here from the latest South Park. God, this song fits it so perfectly! I almost thought Trey and Matt got Kelly Clarkson to come up with this song, until I noticed this was uploaded like two years ago!
but this song was actually in her 2011 album Stronger! So this makes this song 11 years old!

What South Park's newest episode showed us is that not only can people change, but they can also forgive.
#NoSpaceJam2
Because of how much Matt and Trey hated Space Jam 2, it would've been funny if there was just a standard episode where they had the 4 boys go on a weird baskerball adventure making fun of the film
That was a pretty great ending
Aye that South Park ending was so wholesome! Glad I'm part of this ere with you guys and got to experience it.
I teared up at that ending, it was so good. I'd say I've never cried at a south park episode, but that'd be a lie. There were a lot of emotional episodes like Kenny dies and You're getting old, but this special was by far my favorite episode, it was amazing
