- Thanks to my friend Kevin over at Med School Insiders for making such a good video! As an almost attending physician, I react to this video and give my 2 cents in regards to how I actually enjoyed medical school. Yes, it is the toughest 4 years of your life, but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it! Let me know if you like the video :)

This was dope loved hearing about your experiences!
And how can I forget path? Histology brought me so much pain since I’m color blind 😂
The legend Dr. Jubbal I love your videos👍
Kevin Jubbal 🙏🙏
I’m about to start medical school this July and this video made me feel much better thank you!!!
Awesome video! I love Medschool Insiders & Kevin's channel.
Same here!
I’m in almost 3 year of medical school and I swear I never got time for anything else except in the night at 2 am.
I was just watching another one of your vlogs and i got my notification so jumped in here
I am working on a VLOG now ! Will be up soon ;)
@@FacundoMD nice i just subscribed and turned on the notification so i don't miss it
@@phoenix_c2785 Wow ! Thank you !!! I actually just uploaded it ;) ! I am sure you can look around the channel and find valuable info. Thank you again !
Thank you .
I have never clicked to fast!! You have the best content in RUclips game!! 🔥🔥 keep up the work🔥🙏
"High school was carefree.."
Me a person at a high achieving HS where I've been teased for only having a 4.0: "IT IS??!"
Caribbean schools non US ones. College is not needed. It's like the UK system, we do A levels (CAPE). So we go straight from high school. I still find high school more fun than university.
It’s my dream to join med school but simultaneously, I always stress whenever it comes to my mind cuz I keep on hearing that med school is burdensome and I’m still a junior in high school 😭😭😭.
"You will never have more free time in your entire life." (than when you're in college)
Me: Working a full-time job as a senior software engineer while going to college full-time (staying on the dean's list), studying for the MCAT, and helping to raise a 1 year old.
"hahahahaha...okay buddy."
I'm always surprised about med school outside of my country. Here you don't go to college and then med school for 4 years but you do med school since the beginning but for 7 years. That means you enter right after graduation and get much more experience
Those general education courses are the worst!!!!
med school is the best even though its the hardest thing i've done
Thank you for the meal. I've enjoyed these 10minutes of your content
Okay, I’m a little confused on your point of having the most free time in college because I am currently in college and I have never been more busy in my life 😂
I felt that way as well....trust me lol
I think he means in comparison to med school there’s more free time in college. like in college the only mandatory thing that’s scheduled for you are your classes, all the other time is yours even if a lot of will be spent studying
correct me if I'm wrong but Dr. Cellini was a nontrad, so I don't think he majored in biology premed
Do you know Dr.Mike varshavski
Still waiting Dr. Cellini and Dr. Jubbal doing a video together
*Insert Mr. Bean looking at the watch and waiting meme*
Haha
🤔
No noonerv I I’m 💳🕰
"I'm gonna stop pausing every 5 seconds"... *Pauses ~5 seconds later*
🤣🤣
I’m gonna hide that keyboard...lol
You’re so likable and down to earth!
That’s really nice of you to say!!
Although it depends on your educational background and so many other factors, I find myself having more free time in med school than I had during my undergrad sometimes - as crazy as this might sound. I almost finished my first year and I slept 8h every night, had free time for hobbies, I worked and I have my own RUclips channel! You can do it people!
You’ll sing a different tune as a third year
wheres the collab at
As a nontraditional (started at 27) med student that is about to finish up her first year of medical school, I am having doubts/ 2nd thoughts about this profession. I don't know if the amount of longterm stress, debt, opportunity cost, lost time with family/ friends in the prime years of my life, etc are worth it. I hate having back to back exams already (we have 2-3 a week on avg). I'm thinking I should have stuck to a 9-5 job in clinical research , etc. I have previously held jobs as a teacher, clinical research, and hospital admin as well. Those are kind of looking nice now. I don't know if this lifestyle is for me. I was gung-ho about it all my life and have shadowed many docs and all and find the didactic material interesting, its just the stress, liability, onslaught of never-ending exams, and delayed gratification is not for me. All of this is making medicine look much less viable to me. I guess you truly don't know how hard all this until you're finally doing it. I'm thinking if I drop out now, I can go back to working any other job and pay off the 50k I've accrued so far in debt and then move on with life-- rather than continuing on this path for the next 7 years only to then finally start making some take home money, in addition to the crazy lifelong stress. Being away from family and my spouse for this schooling is another huge pitfall. I know I can't land a "lifestyle" specialty with my level of burnout. I'll probably be in primary care, where the admin/ bureaucratic tasks will further eat me alive. Any advice? If I'm already burnt out, does my medical school future look bleak? should I drop out now and save myself the torture? Maybe med school really just isn't for me?
Hey Dr. Cellini, I have been following both your channel and med school insiders and even Dr. Webbs for almost 2 years. I'm currently a high schooler senior about to enter college and purse my BS in gen bio as a pre med student. What would you say is the most crucial transition from high school to college?
Enjoying your summer before 😎
You should follow me as well !!! Being a 100% honest I will be very cautious about a BS in Bio ! You can study a more useful degree that gives you a better job outlook and still complete your pre-med requirements !!!!
QUICK example: I Studied Neuroscience and minor in chemistry and after not getting in MEd school right away I had to be a bartender because there no jobs, meanwhile my wife studied Medical Technologist and right out of college she was making 25$ / Hour plus going to school to finish classes. PLUS you get expose to the medical field sooner and you learn more relevant material as well ! SOON I will make a video about this !
Ah! I love this! It makes me even more excited and motivated to get there!
With hard work and dedication it is possible !

Yeah agree, almost all classes in medical school build up on each other. Thats why I love studying medicine. Every class feels important and meaningful.
Couldn’t agree more
It’s my dream to join med school but simultaneously, I always stress whenever it comes to my mind cuz I keep on hearing that med school is burdensome. 😭😭😭
@@phantomthiefjoker1171 If medicine is really your dream, you'll make it happen. It is tough, but very possible ;) good luck!
@@SwedishRagers Thank you bro ❤️
On my way to become an intervential radiologist
I’m in college, hoping to get into a good medical school by 2024. Any good recommendations?
Another awesome video!!
Thanks so much!
Love this perspective! Makes me wanna slow down and enjoy med school while I’m here.
💐
I had commented on this video before jaja! Of course you need to enjoy it ! That is the only way ! All things after that will fall in place !
Always live in awe of the glorious mechanism of the human body. Let that be the focus of your studies and not a quest for grades ! Patch Adams
Thank you so much... This makes me even more pushed to pursue Med School... You truly are encouraging!!
I always enjoy your Vlogs. As a former Nurse I know a lot of Doctors who stayed in touch with Co Med students and resident's. Theirs a special bond u make. Thats so awesome😊
In loving memory of Brooke and Lynn, you helped me through this mourning and grieving process after the loss of my 2 bffs who were like sisters to me,thank you dr cellini 😥🙄
Do you think teachers ever maybe look down at students who don't come to class and watch videos online instead? Not look down but maybe not like as much idk how to word it lol. Also is there anything you may miss out on by not going to class?
Thank you from me here in the UK
Lol ha ha ha
