I really love tf2. I don’t understand why there isn’t a more streamlined skill based match making. Team fortress 2 is the only team based game I know where every class is just as interesting as the next it would make an awesome esport. It’s just like melee where it has this old tech which causes the game to be fast and interesting. If there was a way to streamline competitive tf2 like what rollback did for melee it would be huge.
@@hirotrum6810 this is a really stupid comment, assuming you are putting RoA down (which most people making this comparison are). tf2 has its own identity apart from quake with depth that still hasn't had its bottom reached. don't believe me? jay is a relatively recent roamer who makes plays that we haven't really seen before (not in this level of consistency at least), and the very popular Uncle Dane has, in a charming and comedic way, discovered details about engineer we have never uncovered before hand. we also still have weapons and off meta classes that haven't been explored to the max. tf2 also has very key differences to quake, some being that it is based on anchoring weapons to classes, and it has a dedicated healer. quake is an arena shooter while tf2 is a class based objective shooter. game sense, understanding of the classes, and theory-crafting are just as important here as DM skill.

The only comp experience I have so far is from TF2Center and I feel like I'm still learning to grow as a med main despite not having a coach and the lack of communication lol.
TF2center is horrible suggestion if you want to actually learn how to play 6s. It's good if you want to have glorified DM fest in 6s environment, and that's pretty much it

Probably possible. There is a pro player called "Woxic" in competitive csgo who plays with his mouse on his left hand and uses an extremely high sensitivity - he basically shows thst anything can really work. Swag, another pro cso player showed that you can play with mouse accel at the highest levels. Just use what you think is best for you, there is no right or wrong way to play, people just give reccomendations based on what most people use.

I really wish you could join a random team play a game than leave like other comp games (cs:go) , but I guess tf2 matchmaking sucks... I'm way too anti social to ask to join a team.
There are things called PUG's (pick up games) which is what you're looking for. check out tf2center for EU and NA pugs or if you're in Asia / Australia / NZ join the Ozfortress discord server and ask for some new player friendly pug servers.

you can play highlander if you want to play spy, but i find 6s way more fun
If you do play Spy, I would watch a couple videos by a guy named "a Woolen Sleevelet". he has a lot of older videos that can help spy players out.
