@@sloppygoono, they committed fraud and didn't play by the same rules that everyone else was playing by. That's called cheating. Even if they didn't win anything, it's cheating. If they were relegated, it's cheating.
As for protecting big clubs, no it's to protect ALL clubs. Look what other clubs have had to spend in order to try and keep pace. Pushing their resources to the limits. City are a small club, if they don't have many fans that should not everyone else's problem.

An 8th place finish is probably what we needed at this moment in time. We've been papering over the cracks for far too long and it is just not an option anymore. Scraping our way into European football year after year has fooled us all into thinking that what we have just needs tweaking with a couple of good signings. In the meantime the cracks behind the paper have become gaping holes.

Yeah you can feel the difference because United and Fergie earned their dominance through heavy metal football, good signings and just by being class. It doesn't matter what they've done off the pitch. On the pitch they are a different breed. They're mentality on the pitch is to be applauded. Even Liverpool with 91 points couldn't win. On the pitch, they're the best team in the world right now. But all of that is tainted by the fact they cheated to get where they are so quickly. If they'd done it organically and grown their income over many years, they'd deserve respect, but they chose to illegally pump their owner's money in through the back door to speed the process up. They knew what they were doing was wrong, and they have tried to cover their tracks all the way, so it's blatant cheating.

As a City fan, there's no asterisk against Liverpool's title. They blew everyone away before the pandemic struck and would've got 102-105 points had their momentum not been stopped. They were unplayable that year, we knew we had no hope by mid November.
Exactly. The asterisk framing came about because during covid, there was some discussion that of not finishing the season at all. Liverpool were obviously going to win handily by that point, but the question was whether they'd be awarded a Premier League trophy without completing the season, which would be a huge asterisk. It didn't happen, the season was finished as normal, but talk of the asterisk and "Covid Cup" just never went away.

@aidanmagill6769 regardless of any legal paperwork, their squad still had to train and evolve as a team to win the things they have and play as good as they have. City never went out and acquired the best players in every position. They bought good players, and Pep has made them world class, which has nothing to do with any charges. United fans' small-minded mentality is detrimental to the club. If Peps city were so unbeatable, how come Liverpool beat them to a title? Arsenal should definitely have won at least 1 of the last 2 seasons but just weren't good enough, and city have only won 1 champions league, only united fans are constantly on about 115, it's embarrassing

We had a lower points total under Ole and Ragnick , but it still was a poor performance due to injuries, loads of matches, and extra time being played by players on the pitch.

I'm a united fan. There's obviously something happening and going on behind the scenes at city that's dodgy (and hopefully that'll be dealt with).. but it's not the players or manager. If they'd had 115 charges for players doping and cheating in that time then fair enough
City need to win another 3 titles in a row and another UCL in one of those seasons to even begin actually catching up to what United have done. Right now it's United: 20 leagues, 3 European cups. With 2 periods of 3 titles in a row plus a European cup. Where as: City: 10 Leagues, 1 European cup. One period where they won 4 leagues in a row. And 1 European cup.
This City team is amazing and it's tough at the moment for United fans. But City are following 100 years of history. This has been a good 13 years for them. They've a lot of catching up to do.

I see a lot of people suggesting City 'may be innocent until proven guilty'.
My question is this. If they are innocent, and know they're innocent, why the hell would they intentionally hire expensive lawyers to drag the case out as long as possible? Surely you'd just let the Premier League/F/A take it to court, be found innocent, enjoy your success?
Dragging it out is typically the sign of a guilty party. Otherwise, it makes very little sense.

It's not unfair that City have the 115 charges hanging over them. It's their lack of cooperation that has dragged the whole thing out so if they've won two titles and it's tainted the achievement, that's their fault.

The club is trying to live off of the reputation that no one in that building has earned, and worse yet no one is trying to uphold. The mighty have fallen, and the work to return to any semblance of what was will take far more effort than maintaining it would have been.

We are in control of our game. We have our own issues. We need to figure out our issues and we can be at the top of the league too.

I am not in the UK, one thing I did not understand is the support of City rather than Asenal for the tittle on this channel and many other United Channel. A lot of people are accusing City of cheating without actually knowing what any of the charges are. When I see comments on facebook or RUclips about City being cheats I ask the person to tell me what specific charge they think is the worst one out of the 115. I usually don't get a reply.. partly because these people don't even know what the charges are (and yet piss and moan about it anyway) or they have to look them up on google and then shy away from the conversation after they realise that the charges don't point to anything other than City being evasive about revealing their book-keeping.. It's basically the same principle as your Mrs accusing you of having an affair because you won't let her look through your mobile phone.
What does that matter? If a killer gets accused of murders do you have to know how they done it? All you need to know is that they cheated
Secret off books contract top ups. Agent fees hidden. Overinflated sponsorship deals. Basically any way they could spend their way to the top has been hidden in plain sight. Forest and Everton are fast tracked for punishment but footballs darling, Pep gets a free pass as usual. Guarantee the minute he leaves city the charges are investigated fully.
