That room is where Tachanka lives. He blesses whoever finds him with a flying Tachanka turret biplane that shoots fully automatic, pre-nerf canister shells.
You're one gun holding off an entire team...with the most op weapon in the game in the most fortified bunker in the game. Then comes the BF logic, a guy marches right in on you and pistols you to death.

It sucks to land a sick flank but to only have enough rounds to kill 2, esp when their squad mates start spawning on them. two, you should shoot gas and incendiary grenades on the ground to make them die out.

The phrase "Bunkers are made to bunk" is actually somewhat correct. Bunk means bed, so to bunk is to be a place to sleep, in other words be a place to house soldiers.
