I've seen a lot of videos on the manny method but none on how to hide the many joint in a project, it's strong but also ugly. Thanks for the video.

I don't think there is a pretty way to achieve a sturdy joint, but it is normally fairly easy to hide it. 🤔
When I make bicolor bracelets, I just off-center it by 2 centimeters, so it will be hidden in the knots 🤷
      Thank for watching 😊

@@gefiondesigns Greetings, I have been working with paracord for 20+ years, Unless your project is to be used for survival, that is just overkill and takes way longer, then just melting the ends together, I just remove 1/4 inch of the inner strands, on each end, then melt them together and I have never had an issue, as long as you get the ends melted enough, they will bond well, I can only go by my own experiences with it.. I've even seen people use sewing thread to stitch melted ends together.. If it works for you do it.. I hide my knots in the backside so they are only seen by the wearer, before putting it on.. A trick I use to better hide connections that are visible, is, I use a marlin spike to put the texture on it and I use acrylic markers to cover any discoloration, But still, Whatever works best for the maker.. We are all different and develop our own unique style.. Thanks for sharing.. Be Blessed...........

@@TheWolfster001 I'm glad that works for you, and I appreciate the input :)
I have countless experiences of the cords snapping in the melted bit when doing something like the sanctified pattern with two different colors. Maybe I just apply more force to my knots than you, who knows..
I used to do what you describe, then I learned the Manny method and I haven't really looked back since, but if it works for you, then by all means do it ;)
I couldn't be bothered with sowing them together though. I mean I might try in the future and reinforce the Manny joint with nano cord for survival, but then again lets be honest for a second, crafter to crafter... How many people have you heard of, that survived in the wild because they had a paracord bracelet? ;)
I'm big on survivalism due to my background. - I'm not going to be spending a lot of time unraveling a dualcolor bracelet to make a shelter - I'd go for the small roll in my Every Day Carry in that case :D

This would also help the joint have a lower profile under the weave. I've seen this method before somewhere, but couldn't remember the name to look it up again. Thanks for the tutorial!
You can also use the fid to keep the end from closing while melting the paracord.

Yes very true with using the needle/fid - thanks for pointing that out, I used to do that as well.
Do you think I should make one about how to extend the cord during the weave as well?

@gefionparacord That would be very beneficial as I, and I'm sure others, tend to miscalculate the amount of paracord needed for some projects!

@@45akenPatriot That's great to hear! I will make one then, probably not the next week, but the week after since I have more time for content creation when I'm on my mini-deployments (7/7 work schedule, 160km from home 😅)

@gefionparacord You're a busy man. I don't know how you do it! You do the business in your "spare time", or is this included in your 7 day work week?

Haha yeah I guess I am - I work on the business both when I'm at home and when I'm off duty in my work weeks - I just usually have more time for filming when I'm on the work weeks :)
