Thank you….grateful for this beautiful explanation. I have been looking for this answer for long times.
Consciousness is pervading . When we are awake , we can experience and be aware through consciousness ( which manifests at evolved human brain). Conscious mind which is responsible for day to day activity and subconscious mind is having records in form of memory and emotions. Subconscious mind keeps popping thoughts and emotions constantly and brain get stuck in that and keeps chattering it . If brain goes into silent state , then we can experience pure consciousness ( satchitanand )

    Pranams,
    regarding the video,
few understanding which stuck my mind
    1) consciousness is all pervading, which means to say consciousness is God.
    2) consciousness uses Man's brain as an apt vehicle to operate through. as human brain is highly developed vehicle.
    3) consciousness has the capacity to operate more efficiently . if that is the case how to know or can you please give instances in day to day life where the consciousness is operating efficiently through brain.
note: the summary understanding is consciousness is the king.. and the body/brain/ mind is a vehicle . when it is no more usable it drops the body and take a different one. which is death.
the other question which arises is, what is the difference between atman(jeevatman and paramatma) and consciousness.
Thank you very much, this is the best video i have watched on consciousness. want to meet you.
may you and God bless this Communion.
    best regards,
    Harish

Many pranaams 🙏🏼🙏🏼. Scientists at one point have to take the help of Mystics to understand the universe and life in general.,It may be now or a few years down the road. But experience is definitely more powerful than discovery.
Like many Mystics say, there is an intelligence way bigger than the brain which made the brain itself from a single cell . What is that intelligence?
Indeed Indeed marvellous!! No other way to explain it.

As Sri M Babaji proceeds to explain what Consciousness is we see how he proceeds by ruling out one by one like the intelligence/"consciouness" of the cell a Human being and more. Why he has rightly connected consciousness with non-living things too. He had pushed the frontiers all the way into the microcosm - upto quarks and "quantized reality" at sub-atomic why sub-elementary particle levels, and even below almost reaching kind of "micro-infinity". At the end of talk-period we find that no "ultimate" definition has been possible. We are reminded of Upanishadic Dicta, like नेति नेतीति वै श्रुतिः - THAT which the shrutis try to speak of through statements 'Not this, Not this,' thus which take the form of a 'process' rather than a statement!
Even if advances in Quantum Mechanics is likely to 'push' the frontier of our understanding of Reality, the final expression IS NOT going to be an affirmative statement at all leave alone a clear cut definition. One can take a look at namas like एवमित्यागमाबोध्याय नमः which translates to "That which cannot be the conclusive statement of the process of Induction" -leave alone using Deductive Logic and valid inferential schemas. Thus the only way of "knowing" What Consciouness is - is to BE THAT. Thus so long one is in the knowing-mode - which is like the extreme of savikalpa samAdhi- Consciousness - has still eluded the person. Thus whether is Scientific Thinking or Spiritual Process both have to end up in a non-definition state. If at all something 'is possible' to "experience" by BEING or BECOMING. No words. No Statements. Only process can be loosely formulated and left for the individual to apply, explore, "experience" for oneself. Strictly speaking could that "state" be rightly called as "experiencing" even?

    • @mrbwatson8081
      @mrbwatson8081 4 года назад

In that state, you are the experiencer as well as the experienced. Yes that is an experience and i have experienced it smoking dmt. :)

I heard a podcast of Swami sarvapriyananda, he explained it beautifully that Consciousness is the white canvas of a painting, the maya is the starch of canvas which absorbs the colours and the outline of people on the canvas is the universe. The faces of the people are us or the world. The people in the painting are nothing but the canvas itself they are the canvas meaning consciousness.

Is purpose of all life contemplation of / meditation on the self (consciousness)? Are these thoughts and their outcomes not a part of the same consciousness?

SriMji, you refer in the early part of you talk, to consciousness in the context of thoughtlessness...why? What does thoughtlessness or the lack of it...have to do with consciousness, Guruji? Are cells limited in their lifetime? Why so? How do they carry individual consciousness? They are alive makes sense, but calling each cell conscious, needs redefining and understanding consciousness differently. Trying to understand consciousness the way you put it. Is it the inertia of quantum superpositions, that prevents every particulate matter, to avoid changing its state of existence? Did you mean the 'things' you were calling the smallest quantum things, as the multi dimension strings, that interact in various ways to create various superpositions that are perceived as different states of existence, some of which, human beings call as matter? If the energy is what consciousness is, then I understand you. Please clarify what did you mean by consciousness? If quantum existence is consciousness, what would explain Entanglement? Isn't Manasa different from Chitta? Vritti of the chitta or the manasa is restnessless? Isn't Chitta supposed to be the objective intellect that does not waiver, (unlike the manas, which is fickle) and discriminates by non-preferential attribution?
