When I lived in China, they would have martial arts film festivals, and they go HARD! It is like comic con but with crazy demonstrations and thirty plus places to watch films. This movie helps those that do not understand why China and Japan don't get along...that and the Nanjing massacre. But back to the festivals, it was loaded with Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Chow Yun-Fat, Jackie Chan, Gong Li, and of course Bruce Lee movies and shorts. Side note, I use to play a joke on the guests at the Hong Kong Dim Sum house, where Chow would visit. I would cover my mouth and say in Mandarin, "oh look, it is Jow Yung Fa!!!" All heads would turn and then they'd try to figure out who said it. Yeah, not the 2M tall round eye lol.
Horror is far and away my favorite movie genre, but if I had a 1a it would be martial arts movies. I grew up watching all the king fu movies and Bruce Lee of course. I recommend Sakra(2023) featuring Donnie Yen
