Samus' reputation in Smash reminds me of Ken's reputation in Street Fighter; All the good Samus and Ken players in the world could not overwrite the stigma of the laggy/bad Samus/Ken players
@amazing1112 I think it's mostly because of how often you run into the laggy/spammy ones in the low ranks, but it's not like you're finding legendary Megamans and Soras in low ranks either. It's just one of those confirmation bias scenarios where every one you meet who confirms your preconceived notions is compounding the idea in your head, while the rare hype Samus is written off as an exemption and forgotten about

I prefer Dark Samus, feels like a more fair and normal Samus, and there are a lot of differences between the two strangely, Different roll and dodge animations, different forward smash sized, (I personally think Dark Samus' floating animations just makes you feel more floaty in general when you're not), and the missiles work differently, and I play super aggressively against anyone. Additionally I used to fight a Peanut level Little Mac on a daily basis and won in a hand-to-hand combat fight sometimes- so that's fun. I'll stop talking now. -Dark Samus main
Their missiles aren’t different but their charge shot is different. I prefer samus because of the fun jump movement but I also really like dark samus. Both super fun characters
I had to play a Bayo in a crew battles (as a Samus main) and I did the same mistake where I was SDI'ing up and out. For some reason SDI'ing down and in is better (at least as Samus from what I can tell) since at least you don't die off the top like that. Found out the hard way until I got out of the match and my friend told me. Went back in the next round and was able to clutch it out, but yeah I really did not enjoy that matchup at all 😅
I think samus bayo isn t that bad for samus. The problem i think was that against bayo, in particular with samus, you habe to be defensive Or you loose your stock. And as u were playing aggressive then it was all fpr bayo But i think if u like forbid her to approach she can t really do anything !

I 100% agree. There are so many normal/hype samus’s out there but people only remember the 3 or 4 super campy ones
