We cruised the Legend out of Dover in mid August. This was our 2nd time on the Legend. Ship was clean and looked wonderful. The new Livery was a nice addition. Totally enjoyed our time on this ship again. Our last 4 sailings were the Celebration, Jubilee, Mardi Gras and the Panorama. It was actually nice to ne on a smaller ship again. Peter from Seattle
Great updates...Booked on the Legend sailing out of Tampa in December with a cruise crew of so far 18 family members, then booked on the Celebration in 2025. The Legend is our family's 11th Carnival ship after we just returned off the Mardi Gras which was fun. Can't wait and Happy sailing
That is awesome to have so many family members traveling at once. I’m sure hectic as well though haha 🤣 have the best time! Try to do the steakhouse one night the food is great and the venue is even better!
We have 2 cruises booked on the Legand right now. 1 is out of Dover UK for 9 days and the other is out of Rome Italy for 14 days ending in Tampa Fl. 1st one is in August and the 2nd is in October. Can't wait! Cheers!
Oh awesome we did something very similar last year from Dover on the Carnvial Pride except we went to Ireland, Iceland, Scotland, and Wales. A 12 night and 9 night back to back. It was incredible and I hope yours is as well!
I was on the Legend last month. We participated in The Chef's Table. I highly recommend it. I am very well traveled and can say I have never had such an amazing meal. We were served the type of dishes you would only find in the most trendy exclusive restaurants in NYC or LA. The $90 per person we spent was so worth it. If you like food this is a must.
We haven't tried it yet but SO looking forward to it. Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm trying to do it with a close friend on the Carnival Venezia next month!
I did CT on its trip to Barcelona just b4 drydock. The CT was great; my fellow diners hated the food because it was not burnt burgers with ketchup and tubs of Cool Whip for desert. Seriously. I really felt like I paid $90 to dine with Walmart Costco shoppers. Seriously. I'm not lying. They didn't even try to learn about the food. They sent half their plates back and asked for substituions. They hated the red wine and couldn't pronounce the simple names of the white wine. It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life.
Thanks for the update. Last week, we booked a 14 day Panama Canal cruse on the Legend for next year May. My wife and I are going with her sister and her hubby. Two balcony rooms, so the renovated balconies will be welcome. We cruised on the Pride out of Baltimore a number of years ago (had a great time) so we are familiar with that class of ship. We really enjoy Carnival. However, we cruised out of Jacksonville on the Elation last December. Sorry to say, but that ship is very tired! Two of the elevators were not working (one in the forward bank and one of the atrium elevators). Made for long waits. And we were disappointed in the food a couple of times in the main dinning room (Chicken was hard and dry). But we never let any of that stop us from a good time. As long as we have Guy's burgers and the Red Frog Rum bar, we are good!
Thank you for the information, we are spending our 50th wedding anniversary on the Legend, 10 day cruise October 2025. We have been on this ship many years ago, excited to cruise on her again. Will be looking forward to more updates.
Just subscribed because I am curious about the updates and will be sailing her next May! Do you know if the USB and outlets will be added near the bed? Thank you for sharing!
You will love leaving from Dover, the white cliffs of Dover are beautiful. If you have an extra day make your way down to Folkestone, it’s an amazing beach area!
I sure wouldn't want to be above the night club wrong move for Carnival, My sister just had a room above night club on an other Carnival ship worse room every they didn't sleep the floor and your bed vibrated from the music till 2-3am so you couldnt they ask to movied and them and 2 other room did the same and being told it happens every crusie haven't they learned!!!
Do you know if they are going to add some restaurants? My husband and i were on Legend in 2017 with an Alaskan cruise. We love her so much, but we are really glad she is getting an update. Was mainly wondering about the pasta bar. Thanks! 😊
If it’s the same as the Miracle and Pride which recently went to dry dock then unfortunately no. They will transform the steakhouse though and brand it Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. Gorgeous venue and great food!
My thoughts exactly in regard to casino bar, and great point. I think you’re right about dream studio. They will probably also add the adventure store as well.
@@funnelheads Followed by the same for the Miracle and Spirit early next year. The Pride looks good now. They added 5 rooms where the lower level of the night club was and the Chef's table in the same area looks good! I am a big Spirit class fan, I like their gaudiness and small size ;)
@@n6uqq I love Everything about them but some of the ships are pretty dark and the decor is crazy haha. Especially the Miracle, the Pride looks pretty good besides the medieval candles in the atrium haha 😆. Still an amazing ship! 🚢
so we haven't been on the Legend since 2012 but i can say we were just on the Pride and Miracle in last year or so and the food was very good on those ships which are sister ships to the Legend. I think overall it has a ton of options that even if you don't like something you will find something you do like. Try not to worry and have a great cruise!
Will they be adding outlets to the cabins? Or changing out the table lamps to the ones with USB outlets? I have a Panama Canal cruise coming up - first time on the Legend.
Carnival Legend was already a pretty ship so anything done will be an enhancement to her. I will consider booking hear again if she's nearby in Florida. I cruised on her in 2017 out of Seattle to Alaska.

Hasta la vista casino bar! They may add the dream studio by the atrium on deck 2 also like on the Pride.

They typically do, but they have not confirmed this. 🤞
