Has there ever been any effort to harmonize-unify, to map Ibn Al Arabi's ideas to modern sciences, esp physics and neuro-bio-psychology? (perhaps a bit like what Zukav did with eastern religious ideas and modern particle physics) Also, how about comparisons of Al Arabi's thinking with Taoism and/or Buddhism?
The best interpretation of Fusūs al-Hukm is the explanation of al-Nabulsi Because it was interpreted by a Sufi interpretation, not a philosophical interpretation
There is something very ironic about his work - he mentioned in the introduction to the book that he wrote it because all the earlier approaches to explain Fusus al-Hikam, were directed towards the people of gnosis only, and not to the people of the two lesser levels of faith, the philosophers and theologians, and those who only affirm the doctrines without delving much into the meanings of those, and that he wanted to make Fusus al-Hikam accessible to them, by his work - Jawāhir an-Nusūs. But really, when you read it, it's one of the most difficult ones among all the shurūh written on Fusus lol May God bless the Imām, the Arif Bi-Allah Abd al-Ghani an-Nabulūsī though.
Jazakallah
