  • Coming from a renowned fighting clan, Umar Nurmagomedov exhibits a completely different “style of smashing” in the cage. He has already burst into the bantamweight top-15 and is triumphantly following in the footsteps of his big brother, Khabib. Today we break down the career arc of the undefeated Dagestani prospect, who may soon become a rightful challenger for the UFC title.

      I can’t find a way to send you a PM so although this comment section is about Umar (loved the video!) I would love to suggest Ramon Dekkers or Kaman, or possibly a shared video with the two Dutch kickboxers. I love your style and depth of investigation, your narration and editing and I’m dying to find out how a tribute to both of them would look like!

      Wrestling has been their traditional national sport for centuries. It back-fired on the UFC giving wrestlers an advantage with the rule set. (they did this to give Americans an advantage as wrestling is popular in America, much more common than striking, and top strikers in America do boxing) Now the Dagestan's etc have rounded out their game with strong striking to add to the elite wrestling base. There have always been many Olympic gold medal wrestlers from this region, despite it's relatively low population.

    Ok, how is this guy not know more in the MMA world? I just found out about him from this video. Umar looks like the perfect fighter here. Superb punching and kicking abilities and wrestling skills. He's got everything. Yes, I am not exactly a fanatic MMA fans. So I don't know much about MMA and UFC, but for a completely perfect fighter like him, I think the world should know him regardless if you watch MMA fights.

    Umar is a perfect example of how being confident in your grappling and wrestling gives you an incredible advantage with your striking.
    Man can experiment in the standup and beat guys up,knowing if they catch and take him down,he's got that Nurmagomedov grappling to switch to 😀
    Great fighter

    As i noticed that his opponents are always scared of him because they don't know how is he going to fight, he is good at kicking, punching and wrestling, it's like they don't know what exactly to do when he starts acting aggressive

    No one is better than Khabib....Khabib never lost a single fight and never been hit a decent hit by any opponent and never had a black eye and never had a single drop of blood drop from him and he dominated all his opponents and made it look so easy and made the best of the best look weak and fragile and the way he fights was so entertaining to watch and yet he was so humble and respectful and true to himself and his beliefs he was a complete fighter and a complete man and a damn good coach

    • @Baryonyx01
      @Baryonyx01 Год назад

      Khabib would have eventually lost if he kept fighting. He would have been takedown, bleed and even lost, that's why he retired early cuz he did not want to lose that 0

      Gauthie cracked him good a few times, so did Porier,,and Mc Gregor , had he stood and traded with any of the 3 very long, he would have lost,, he tried with McGregor in the third round and was doing ok, but he started to lose ground and defaulted to the takedown,, he always knew when to default to his grappling and wrestling,, he knew how much he could take before being knocked out,, this is how they train,. his poker face after getting cracked was amazing,, this is a mental game.. Gauthie had him hurt, but didnt capitalize on it,, same with Porier,, they wait for the result, and Khabib took them down.,.
