Didn’t work for me in Safari or Firefox, was still left with underlines albeit the same colour as the text. But how do you get the signature in HTML, most people create it in Docs or Word
Thanks so much Ashley. I don't seem to make it work though. Maybe the problem is the source from which I copy my signature? Should I copy my original signature text from a text application like Pages? Thanks so much
Thanks! Worked exactly as described. Chrome had some cache when I refreshed to verify the underlines were no longer decorating the linked text. Once I cleared it, your solution was evident. I appreciate you!
You lose me at one point in the video. While in safari, how do you get from setting up the demo sig to copying the link? In the video, your sig is displayed in a browser window by itself with the link above, which is where you copied it. How did you get there?
The html signature I copied was in an html file on a live web hosting server. You'll want to make sure your images are living on a host so they will appear. If you have local image link paths to a location on your computer, they will be missing in the signature. Hope that helps
When you copy the link and paste it into safari, yours shows up without the underline, mine doesn't. So when I copy and paste it into the new signature, it's still underline. Someone please help me, it's making me insane.
Thanks a million Ashley...! Now the hard part...explaining to a client this process...Ay caramba...! Who knows what they know... (Chrome, Safari opening the HTMlL file in Safari browser window etc, etc... 🤞
Why do you think it does not work in Chrome but it does in Fire Fox / Safari (from a technical point of view)?? I mean, when I do ctrl + a it's clear that in Fire Fox all the structure of the signature is selected, which does not happen in Chrome, but I do not understand why. Thanks anyway
This is great! Thanks so much! Totally worked for me in Safari, after copying from HTML to Gmail opened in Safari. browser. However, it still shows up underlined in mobile (at least iPhones). Any workarounds?
This is incorrect infomration. I tried doing exactly what this video said and sent to another gmail and my office email id on outlook. The links were there along with the underline🥵
... I have been jumping through hopes to make a very specific email signature work in Gmail for the last several days. They hyperlink thing was the last straw but I was looking at one account they had where the hyperlinks weren't underlined. This is the dumbest damn thing I have ever learned. Thank you for posting this. FYI... Apple doesn't make Safari for Windows anymore and Edge is just Chrome with a Microsoft Logo on it.
Are you copying the design directly to Gmail or are you making the signature in HTML? Either way, I would recommend not using Chrome when you copy and paste the signature. Let me know if that works.
@@ashleycam3ron I designed a signature in Google Docs using Microsoft edge and even used an add-on that is supposed to adjust the formatting of links, but mine also doesn't translate over to my Google Signature. I did not create these using html or css, just Google Docs. Do you have any pointers?

and if you dont have safari?

I was starting to get a headache trying to figure this out! Thank you so much!
Good god, I spent hours changing my code and trying to add my code directly to my signature and what not! Thank you so much for this!!
Same!
I don't know why you don't have 10,145 likes on this video. This solved the issue.
😂 Thank you. I agree.
Thank you so much! It was driving me nuts, you're a life savior.

I would like to know as well... especially since it's such a popular browser.

I tried 5 different things but "copy it from another source" did not cross my mind. Sheesh.

I have tried many solutions, But only your trick has done the job. Thank you so much Ashley.
but what if im designing the signature on a google doc?

Thanks for the solution!
Too bad you can't just paste a raw html into your email signature....
Worked for me. We'll see! I will not be surprised at all if they go back to underlined tomorrow...
This saved me so much headache! I wish I had seen this hours ago!
You're a lifesaver. That was driving me nuts!
