Forgot my NZ flag so got myself a cheap one from Amazon for the meet. Was worried when you finished the victory lap with no flag for photos! Was glad you got a good one.
Congrats World Champion!! "“You know,” I said, “all this time I thought the Olympic Champion was somebody incredibly special.” Frank gave me a consoling look, as though he would have liked to protect me from this final disillusionment. “And then you found out,” he said, “that it was only me.”"
I was at the 2019 NCAA Indoors in Birmingham & saw all 3 of you guys run. Beamish won the mile in a speedy 4:07 (I know it was tactical) & Morgan won the 3 & 5,000 meters off of a strong kick. Can't wait to see Ollie doing battle with Jacob soon.
Oh, so this is the coffee club that i was reading about in George's interview comments 😂 Makes sense now😊 Proud Kiwi here. I grew up watching your bro Hugo repping Wanganui collegiate 🤩 he had a good kick in secondary schools. Your kick is Nek level 😂 Congrats on your achievements to date. I'm sure this is just the beginning. Future sub 13, 5k and sub 8 steeples. Will go down as one of the all time great Kiwi track runners 🤩
Not pissed off, but you could hear the frustration in his tone as well as in his language because with just a few steps remaining he had gotten past Hobbs Kessler (the only person he thought had a kick that could match his going into the last turn) and was “certain” he was just a second or two from becoming champion.

As a fan of the sport, this podcast has gone a long way towards increasing my investment in your successes (and failures). I'm glad your guys keep putting out engaging episodes and congratulations to George for his win! It's well deserved.
Think you’re a bit harsh on Narve. I didn’t take his insta post as making excuses, he says his tactics were bad, used too much energy, mentions inexperience, couldn’t match front 4. He expresses disappointment, says he gained valuable experience. Maybe just some nuances with Norwegian communication, but what more do you want from the guy? I’d rather this raw, messy statement instead of some social media pro nothing caption, it’s a shame to then pick his words apart. Narve isn’t Jakob, not born with epic self confidence apparently. 😬
Mariano garcia won his heat but was given lane 1 in the final because WA changed seeding to from performance based to World rank 72hrs before the champs. Had he gotten lane 5 or 6, as he deserved being a semi winner, he would have been able to get the pole easier. But from lane 1 didnt have much of a chance and exerted too much to try and fail. Also one of the 800m prelims had the italian & belgian who were world #1 & #2 on SB. WA putting too much emphasis on world rank.
if you're stuck with star alliance from denver to europe, and have choices on booking, i recco taking the ua flight outbound, even if with connection in the US, so you're more likely to get the bag (as bad as ewr, iad, ord are, they still get bags through). on the way back, take the flights avoiding the US connection so you don't have to wait to recheck your bags at the first US airport. And if they loose it you're ok for a few days waiting for it in CO.
A great day Georgie, we’ll done Can you prepare yourself later this year when the big boys possibly run 3.29 and you moving up 7 seconds from 3.36. I presume you’re looking to the 3000 metres at the Olympics instead
I haven't slept, eaten, bathed, or pooped for the last several days in anticipation of this episode

WORLD 1500 CHAMPION 2024
That title stands forever in history Geordie Beamish. Congratulations man 🥇

Thanks for letting us be on this journey with you guys. What a great day to be a Coffee Club fan!
Absolutely delighted for Geordie!
Congrats World Champion!!

The best T&F chat I’ve listened to this year (probably ever).
Wonderful insights.
Will check in again.
You guys are gold. Fantastic. Brilliant.
The Man in Black. Take a bow, Mr. Beamish!
I’m super happy for you George! I couldn’t get the smile off my face when I saw you cross the line. Class act 🙌
This episode is an instant classic ❤🎉!

Beamish was not stretching at the end to win, he was charging past the rest. Great timing.
Yay George congrats!!
Congrats to George. That is amazing. Another great episode. NCAA predictions on point.
somewhere in Seattle, on a brisk afternoon, Joe Waskom’s ears started ringing and he got the sense that something terrible just happened
wicked stuff George.
i need the world champion picture of Geordie sitting on the globe as a poster
Great run, GB!
GB = Great Britain 😏🤭
“Like a spider in a frying pan” Ollie never change
So much stronger and smoother in the last 60m. I could watch it everyday
what interview did Ollie watch? Hocker wasn't pissed post-race.

ya, a bit frustrated. Also was pretty complimentary of Geordie. Ollie is just an idiot, doesn't think when he's speaking.
I'm just listening now... jesus Ollie just shut up, he makes the same point 55 times over and over and over.
No Ollie never change. No one else has the balls to call out some of the hypocrisy and self-dealing in USATF
Kerley aside
This is the new shirt, beamish sitting on the world with champion in big letters above
