    Today I was definitely scalping. Using the 1 minute chart for trading and the 5 minute chart for dual context I was reading the charts one bar at a time and taking super quick trades.
    This method is not for beginners, it takes a lot of time and practice to read charts like this and even mote expertise to trade them.
    In these trades I typically stay in the trade for no more than 1 minute and normally I enter and exit on the same candle. There is method to this and this is what I teach.
    Most importantly the lessons that I would like you to take from this are the way that I measure the risk and reward on the trades combined with the probability that comes from taking system built trades.
    I have researched and studied thousands of markets for over ten years to be able to label and define the trades with the correct mathematical equation. It is the consistency of approach that makes my trading successful.
    Let me know if you have any questions or comments?
    Best wishes
    Anthony

    This is how I trade and I've never seen anyone else do it live... just watching you and seeing your thought process helps.
    I can consistently make $200-600 a day (US Dollars) but occasionally I have a day where 1 rogue trade goes bad quick, I average down and unfortunately lose thousands. I'm stuck. I need to take small losses instead of doubling down. Thank you. I just subscribed.

      Yeah, rogue trades have a lot to answer for. Sounds like you nearly have it. Email me anthony@excellenceassured.com and I'd be pleased to help.

    The fact that you reacted so confidently and playfully to your losses was all the inspiration I needed. Great video!

    Every minute of 'Live Scalping - 4 trades in 8 minutes live' was a learning experience, took some screenshots of the trades 'again'. A big shoutout to Anthony for making such informative content accessible to all. You're making a difference! Youre latest student from Belgium.

    Ant, I really needed this video! Especially the crucial details about the importance of the preceding candles and their suitability or not for good R:R. I'm still struggling to be consistent so please keep the videos coming! It was also really instructive and heartening to show the losses. Appreciate it.

      Thanks Matt. I'll be doing some more. Everyone has losses but timing, diligence and respect to the market and my system keep them significantly lower than the wins, which is the key. Keep in touch.

      Thank you. You need a broker and a deposit to put down. Then you are ready to go. Trade a demo account first of all as it is very difficult a a skill.

    Agree with most things he said. Regarding stoploss - never ignore the risk of unexpected events. Discipline might not help you when markets go rogue without an appointment in the FX calendar...

    Great content! Really like your trading style. May I ask, any advantage in using a mental stop loss instead of a "physical" one or is that just a personal preference? How do you manage the risk of spiky / sudden big moves against your position?

    • @anthonybeardsell1200
      @anthonybeardsell1200  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for asking AJ. On the fast charts (1,2,3 minutes) I tend to use mental stops as my risk depends on the entry I take and my eyes never leave the chart during the trade. I have my eyes and mind glued on the level that I would exit for a loss and I never let it run past. Especially when I am recording I need to keep things as simple as possible so I keep the process smooth by watching the stop level and the current candle as it moves.
      On the longer term charts I always use a physical stop. Any time I may leave the screen for a minute then I will have a stop in place.
      I hope that this clarifies for you?
      Ant

    Nice video, thanks. Do you keep only one trade open at a time? I normally keep 2-3 open, but I'm thinking of doing only 1.

    • @anthonybeardsell1200
      @anthonybeardsell1200  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for asking. I only keep one trade open (unless I have longer term trades on different markets. The reason is because each trade has a probability, risk and reward at outset and they form an equation which needs to be watched carefully. It is an equation that is set at outset of the trade but will be severely affected by placing other trades (so I don't do it).

    At the 17:19 mark when you got out too early and it kept going up. Why didn't you just reenter the trade and grabbed more profits

    Nice content again.... IGM has a nice trading-platform, where one can have the 1M and 5M charts open in a split window, which is great, however IGM isn´t really that great when it comes to the level of slippage when making an entry / exit in a trade

    Hi Anthony, thank you for this super useful video. I'm not into scalping so I'm not sure how you make 500£ on such small moves but I suppose it is using leverage? Your new subscriber from Belgium. Cheers

      From your figures it seems that you were scalping with 1m£, is that correct?
