Hi Sandi! And no, I haven't started quilting again. Just wanted to have a virtual visit with you my dear friend going about your regular activities... although a sit down with a bowl of homemade soup and homemade buns would have been nice, and something to look forward to some day again. Nice to 'see' you again doing what you love- sewing and teaching. Btw- your salsa recipe was a big hit with the Christmas family visitors. Stay warm. Hi to Dave also. Love and hugs.
Hi, loved your card! Good to see some of your paintings. Yes, a sit down and a long visit would be great. I have been watching ticket sales. That is awesome to hear about the salsa! So glad to hear that you had a wonderful visit.
❤ I was taught with single fold binding but over the years changed to double fold binding. Not sure why but happy to hear the wear and tear is the same.
I am not sure why, other than convenience and to use more fabric. As a previous quilt shop owner, I always promoted double folded binding because it used more fabric. Through research, I have found both types wear out the same, so my question is why use more fabric than necessary? Thank you for commenting, enjoy your stitches.

I learned something new, about sewing, today. Thanks Sandra!!!
You are most welcome!
You taught that very well. I have never seen binding done that way.
Thank you.
Is “micro-quilting a program on the quilting machine?
No it is very close, tiny stitches.
