I have damascus, dark aether and atomic ( as of yesterday) damascus is and clearly has been, the hardest camo. I think this years mw will replace that, but damn that grind nearly put me in a mental institution
Started Damascus grind in 2019 on Xbox One Got it on PC in November of 2020 (i took a lot of breaks) Got Obsidian on my M13, Dark Aether (CW) and i gave up on Atomic bcuz i can’t stand the state of L-gard

Damascus in CODM was pretty tedious as well but not as hard as MW19. Unlocking Diamond on everything is also mentally challenging. You have to get 10 kills in a game 120 times (depending on class) and you can only get 1 progress per game.
Mobile one is pretty easy compares to MW19. I just need shotguns(striker and burst) and snipers(most of the snipers) and launchers(I would be crying if FHJ is not buffed
Damascus took me 5 days of playtime to finish, with a lot of double weapon xp tokens and many games of shipment. The launchers, riot shield, and mounted kills were the worst thing to do but since we were all in quarantine at the time, I had nothing better to do

Yeah I was so jealous when I finished the atomic grind and no joke 3 days later they made the challenges easier

I see launchers like this (this is assuming all camo/flak jacket perk bugs have been fixed and not focusing on the bugs they used to have)

@@TechnicallyWild Isn't CW left to a state where if the enemy has flack jacket and you don't direct impact him you have to hit him with 5 rockets or something? Vanguard launchers are meh the bug where you can shoot 2 UAVs with your gun and the third with the launcher made them 10x easier

Yep. Even the 800 kills for assault rifles was easy for me because once I got them all, I was close to max level anyways. When I got gold on a particular gun (like the Kilo 141) I saw that I had about 1,000 kills.
Mean the M4A1 max level is 71 but the xp requirements are way lower in MW19
@@HEELEO yeah but that’s just one gun. Every gun on vanguard had to go to level 70.
@loopi69 yeah and the xp required for lower levels was higher so going from level 0 to 10 was longer in VG then MW
What a nightmare, waay too many levels for these past mastery grinds, i'm glad i skipped the last 3 CoDs 😭 MWIII grind is so easy comparatively
I would say it’s atomic , because there is no maps to get long shots for certain guns and when you do everyone’s there chucking nades or hiding
I'm finishing my DM ultra and Dark Aether grind and I agree. These are the easiest camos to unlock. Damascus was definitely hard and I didn't even go for Obsidian. A, it's a nightmare. B, it doesn't even look good. As for Vanguard, I'd still say it's harder than Damascus just because it takes way longer to level up guns in this game
Forgot to mention the Chrome Tiger grind on COD WW2. Possibly harder than MW2019's camo grind.
I unlocked dark matter on BO3 in early 2017 and for me it felt like the hardest thing because I was 13 back then and new to cod, so getting 100 headshots took very long, and the 5 bloodthirsty 5 times camo took me the longest (I was very bad at the game).
Call me crazy but I thought Damascus was the easiest camo grind ever. Yes, it was time-consuming but it took me 4 days to get and I just found it better and more fun to play than something like DM Ultra or even Atomic (not finished with it yet).
I didn’t mind doing mounted kills (by the way, it’s 100 for assault rifles only, the rest of the classes are equal to the number of longshots, like 50 for SMGs), because that’s a good thing to do while doing longshots, which I did all my longshots on Shoot House (even the snipers!). I do have to give it to you, I found the kills with no attachments super frustrating at times and I found the kills after reloading somewhat frustrating. Crouch kills we’re fine because I literally got started on them immediately as I unlocked the camo category.
Another thing I can agree with you on is the launchers. They took a bit of time for sure, but I did all of them on Shoot the Ship and were pretty easy, and at least I didn’t have to do double kills with launchers for Gold like Cold War.
The only other weapon that took a lot of time was the Riot Shield. But I realized that for melee camos, kills from behind actually counted towards assassinations. The only challenge I struggled on was the 3 kills without dying, but I eventually got it done.
For Dark Matter Ultra, I HATED doing detected kills, kills behind cover, and point blank kills with SMGs. They were literally luck based and had no skill whatsoever. It was up to the enemy.
Atomic is still frustrating because I have to do 30 bloodthirsties for each weapon (minus the Mosin-Nagant) which is time consuming sometimes and because of SBMM, and the fact that I’m tempted do do longshots immediately from my experience in Modern Warfare, but some guns I have to do it again and it’s just frustrating. I even created a list of specific attachments challenges on my phone so that I know what I have to do before I unlock the challenges.
Unpopular opinion: Damascus looks WAY better than DM Ultra, and is more worth it. Atomic is also better than DMU.

I honestly feel that Damascus is so lame and that we deserve something much more better like a reactive camo for that kind of grind or at least something like obsidian where the actual gun itself is physically altered in a way.
@@getbakkvinny I personally prefer animated camos over static camos too, but Damascus was a pretty straightforward grind and there was no nonsense to me while doing it. Cold War and Vanguard are completely different stories but I like both camos over Damascus.

I made a fresh account in 2021 during season four of BOCW, took advantage of the permanent Shoot The Ship playlists, and didn't use a single double weapon xp token, and I ended up getting damascus for all base weapons + the ASVAL in four days, and some hours of in game time... The grind is easier than ever. And I haven't played one single match of MW2019 since.

I'm unmotivated to get Atomic because you have to level up to 70 and then the kills with specific attachments doing specific things, and then I'm just like "why do I have to do this?" Damascus was not too hard. The only reason why DM Ultra was hard for me was because I was unmotivated to do the Sigma 2 everything else was a breeze. And I'm not doing Dark Aether VG because will just take forever to do. Dark Aether CW was easier just repetitive. However I want Atomic, but I wanna have fun doing it.
1:40 i think it is easy to say that grind was harder than damascus or the other camo grinds. Having to prestige 9 times before you can get the chance to finnish the camo grind really doesnt make it easier.

Black sky in iw was the most difficult for me you had to get solar camo for all weapons then you had to prestige 9 times then get all classic weapons solar and you had the option to get the black sky rig gear as well
I’d say black sky is the hardest to unlock because you have to prestige an insane amount and sniping was hard in that game
I respectfully disagree. Sniping is just as "hard" in MW, CW, Vanguard and with the amount of time required for Damascus, DM Ultra, Atomic, you'd get to a high prestige anyway. Every time I've grinded a mastery camo I've prestiged at least 10+ times (I know MW had a level cap, but in CW I prestiged 8 times and in Van I prestiged 16 times)
What was definitely the hardest part of the sniping was you needed 160 headshots each sniper in infinite warfare . And unlike mw219 cold war and vanguard. You didn't have shoothouse, daz house, shipment or nuke town playlist to spam. On advanced warfare, Bo3 for the most part and infinite warfare. You had to just play on the maps you were randomly given. That has to be taken into account

Vanguard’s dark aether is the hardest mainly because it’s so hard to play that game for more than 30 seconds

But I did in last gen BO3. That would be the hardest personally, just cause of the technical limitations of the PS3/360.
I was so happy when I completed Damascus so so happy it was so frustrating with the riot shield and launcher's took me about 3 months
The launchers for Vanguard really sucks. Having to shoot aerial is worst ever. At least in MW 2019 there was chopper gunner, Vtol, Personal radar, UAV was well seen not like Vanguard

I think getting Damascus killed my drive for camo grinds because I got that and dark aether from Cold War and now I just struggle to do even the simplest of challenges

Chrome tiger was difficult at the time but as some one who's unlocked it myself (ggs btw) chrome and chrome tiger are way easier than what we have today. I'd say chrome and chrome tiger are the predecessors to what the Damascus and Obsidian grind are today.

Man, thinking how BO2 and BO3 were my favorite in terms of grinding camos, I feel like this is going to be insane for me
The BOCW Dark Aether sniper challenges are honestly ass but my advice is to get them out of the way first.
Also play zombies on double weapon xp weekends, it’s so much easier.
I think Atomic is the hardest for some reasons you stated, all the bugs of not tracking and the long ass time to level up weapons. Damascus had tedious challenges but more doable. I rather have challenges like mounted kills or crouched kills but now mixing that with some horrible attachments like in vanguard is just annoying and extra.
I got DM Ultra in about 4 days of in game playtime but that's only because I did Dark Aether first and it took about 8 days of in game time, but both was a fun grind, I've started the Atomic and leveling up guns take centuries and it puts me to sleep, I have diamond melee's and 3/6 smg's gold.
I'm trying to get Damascus and the riot shield is so mentally challenging because some times you can't hit enemies and then 90% of the time they shoot you though the shield it's so annoying and hard
Exclusion Zone is better than all mastery camos of the past 4 CODs. the best thing out of MWR. i desperately need it in a event
For me the hardest challenge is bloodthirsty, so Damascus was easiest, dm ultra second and atomic as hardest (multiplayer camo)

Cold War launchers make it Hard, and Enemies behind cover is annoying, not to mention you need 100 Headshots opposed to 50 in Vang.
Idk I went for Van over Cold War, I already have Dark Aether in CW which looks infinitely better anyway.

For me Damascus because dm ultra is the only mp mastery camo I have but I'm almost done with Damascus with shotguns, handguns and 2 lmg's left for me to grind and I can say that Damascus is the hardest one I've done currently
I quit the DM ultra grind after hating launchers and the overall multiplayer experience. Damascus was probably a bit harder when you take into account not being able to go at all challenges at once for Mele and Launchers like you can in vanguard. That being said, when I got around to Vanguard launchers which I only finished today, i wish I’d used them throughout rather than at the end. Fortunately Sledgehammer slowed down the UAVs to hit again, but as you said, it was much easier to hit a counter uav or a campers personal uav in MW2019. Might reinstall CW to maybe try and finish snipers, launchers and pistols but we’ll see!
I will have Atomic camo later today. I wouild be finished already, but took a whole month off because the game wasn't working properly.
Cold War DM Ultra was the hardest for me. I gave up on the Cigma launcher. Fuck that thing

I might get ripped on for this but demascus is the best looking camo to me. I know it’s not reactive but the colors are stunning and it just looks good. The other reactive camos look too corny to me. Except for that one galaxy camo that one is sick.
Launchers in mw19 were leesaaggguuueeessss better than in vanguard, took me 4 in game days to complete just the 50 ground score streaks per launcher, it was god awful
I agree mostly but i actually leveled the type 99 and top break in zombies because it was soo annoying. type 99 is kinda ok but the top break double action is annoying as fuck
if you use the zombies xp methods it's actually faster than das haus unless you get over 100 kills a game

I think obsidian is easier if you’re good and you can start before Damascus my buddy got few obsidians but no Damascus. Damascus is just aids, I lost brain cells getting launchers and melee

Atomic is way more tedius because we don't have shoot house. Just takes way longer to get atomic, I had demascus done far sooner.

@@TechnicallyWild I would usually agree but rocket launchers, and grenades make them so inconsistent. Personally I always go hardcore das haus. Where as on shoot-house I’d sit on the wall throw smokes and not get bombarded by explosives. Also the right hand side on the deployable cover.
I've unlocked both DM Ultra and Dark Aether for Cold War. I literally just bought Mpdern Warfare 2019 a couple days so now I have to level up the weapons to get Damascus.

They just deter me away from unlocking them because of how long it takes to level up guns and the challenges that require u to rely on other people and the reappeared challenges per gun. Idk it may just be me but Damascus was easy asf

I think people see atomic as difficult, due to the camo challenges not tracking and all the changes we've seen since launch. If you want time consuming look at atomic, for an average player to get a weapon gold/ max level it takes them 6-7 hours where in MW max level only takes 2 (without 2WXP). Camo challenges are a breeze for Vanguard tho, 90% of the camo challenges you can do passively while just playing to level up (with exception to launchers, melee, some snipers).
How I see it:
MW: Harder/more tedious camo challenges, easy to level up and scale through the weapons.
Van: Easier camo challenges but a painful weapon xp system that takes a while to level up (hopefully more 2WXP weekends cause those make it super easy)

I can't really judge it in general tbh because atomic is the first MP mastery camo I'm really going for but the 30 bloodthirsties on almost every weapon is by far the hardest camo challenge in the last few cods for me, especially with how bad the spawns in Vanguard are atm.
Maybe it was because I wasn't actively trying to complete the camo challenges back then but getting mounted kills etc didn't feel half as tedious as the bloodthirsties in Vanguard.
I think it just that I can’t just bring myself through atomic as I did Damascus, dm ultra, and dark aether it’s just I get burnt out fast
@@TechnicallyWild Imo atomic is just difficult for the wrong reasons. Instead of the challenges being reasonable they’re just kinda crazy like 100 bloodthirstys with snipers (even though they changed it).
MW2 Orion is so easy compared to Obsidian in MW 2019
I didn't really like mw2019 too much but I got Damascus and It isn't as hard as vanguard to me because even though I didn't enjoy mw2019 to much it was atleast more fun than vanguard right now and that's really it.
Damascus is easier than Dark Matter Ultra, it just takes more time. NOTHING about Damascus grind is hard because the rocket launchers are so easy and arent even hard at all. The rockets alone in cold war are enough to make the grind harder. lol. If you're a good player, the rockets are hell.
Getting double kills with the rockets was just STUPID if you are in good SBMM lobbies. EVERYONE runs flak jacket and its pretty much just luck if you get a double kill. Same concept applies if you try to get a double kill with vehicles blowing up too in Fireteam. Hope 2 players are on the vehicle and they also do not have self revive. It's not common at all.
Damascus is just TIME CONSUMING, but nothing about it is hard at all.
100 longshots is probably the worst, but its very easy to do.
crouch shots, prone, hip fire, THREE KILLS without dying lol, headshots, eliminations, all attachments, no attachments its all super easy.
Shipment Extended makes the damscus camo a joke. I just recently moved to PC and started to just level guns up and without even trying i have all the camos done aside from longshots on all my smgs and ars in just like a week, and thats including DLC.
The only thing difficult about damascus is just the time it takes you to do longshots and just playing ground war and shoothouse to do that.
The only thing that makes damascus harder now is if you run into a hacker who has Tempered

I’m Sorry but Personally speaking Cold War was the Hardest For me! The game was so poorly made and don’t even get me started on the Launchers for this game! They just went backwards in so many ways! Zombies was the only Great thing about Cold War! They still messed up the zombies mode in Vanguard the easiest thing to get right in my opinion! Just listen to what the people want, some playable round based maps!

As someone who unlocked every mastery camo in cod history... DM Ultra is super easy especially since you can get a gold gun in under 2 hours on top of the camo challenges being the easiest out of the 3 recent games.

@@TechnicallyWild probably a troll lmao. Damascus was definitely the hardest and the stupidest one to do. DM in retrospective was not that bad but it was my first so I thought it was terrible. Currently 32/38 on atomic and it’s literally just tedious challenges with higher requirements.
