Mark martin is and has always been a class act its a shame that some of the drivers today, arent more like him, mark martin iam a fan of yours and will always be enjoy your retirement and say hi to your family also.
Hey Mark, I really enjoy your podcasts and enjoyed watching you race years ago. Remember the red, white and blue knights? How about Tom Reffner, Al Shill, Dwayne "whitey" Harris, Roger Otto? All great drivers and ones I grew up with. I was crew for my buddy that ran a tar car at Illiania, Rockford and the Dell's. It was a Boyce chassis that had a ton of lead in the left frame rail. Guess it was a copy of the three legged dog you drove. We had fun and met some great folks but I moved on the dirt track sprint cars and my buddy did to. I saw Dales interview with you and you mentioned Beaver Dam. ,"Best racing by a Damn site". Keep up the great legacy you've started and helping young drivers like you've always done.
I love how he talks about his career like he messed it up really bad. I'm sure he feels like you did but if you look at his percentages and win totals it's pretty crazy. He has almost 100 career wins at the three levels. Finished in the top 10 in 51% of his career starts in Winston Cup and finished in the top five 30% of the time over a 30-year career and we're talkin like 880 plus career races at the Winston Cup level. If that's not consistency I don't know what it is
From the era where all racers were hands on racers ..... I don't know if these kids in NASCAR today even know what that means ....... They built it , they wrecked it , they fixed it .
I somehow can't believe that the kids in racing today ever put this much effort into their careers. Sure, there's time in the gym, there's the simulator, there's years and years of go carts and midgets financed by Daddy but personal effort, I don't know....
This is the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. The details mark tells the stories with is the best

Just wanted to say I enjoyed this podcast very much!
Breaking into a series dominated by people in the South East was amazing because of the good `ol boys network.I could just imagine their dismay.
I very much enjoy your podcast.
