I just found your channel and I’m glad I did.Just subscribed. Thanks for posting your videos for us to watch.Glad to be a member of this group of viewers.God bless.
. the beautiful tour of the Breaks and Richard Potter's story. I loved the little Log Cabin, I'm so glad that it's being taken care of. I'd spend the weekend in it with a good rocking chair for the front porch and an iron skillet and a place to build a fire, or bring a grill along. Thanks for taking us on the beautiful tour, I hope that you and Heather have a great weekend 😊
Richard Potter is my great x5 grandpa ..you should look into the way the breaks got the land ( potter flats ) from the last residents that lived there and do a story on it ..
My mom and dad almost fell to the bottom of the breaks before they even got married the preacher and their best friend caught them and pulled them back. Thank God for him.
It is just beautiful and it's hard to believe he owned all that beautiful land I looked up his grave and it said he was buried under the tree that he always went to meditation I sure he had no idea that his land would become a national park show his will and says he left his oldest daughter 1100 acres upon his death for her to live there until her death and then it would go to her children what a beautiful place so peaceful thank you for taking us with you and Leo don't listen or follow sirra she took yo almost 50 miles out of your way and to a dead-end with no cell service but I knew you would find your way to where you wanted to go and then she wanted you to drive 652 miles to get there she is crazy ... but she didn't get you the second time😅 careful going home and tell Heather hi and her beef stew looked yummy 😊
Mr. Potter's land holdings was beyond my imagination. Loved the Fish Trap Lake with the surrounding majestic colors of Fall. Thank you for this vlog!! Mr Potter could at least afford his ten children! Thank you for beautiful bresthtaking views! The Breaks were ouystanding. As always you all doing an a number production no matter what you do!!!!!❤❤❤❤
The Breaks is my favorite place and a awesome place it is. I remember visiting Richard's grave, but I don't think Teeny is buried there with him. I think Teeny inherited that land from her father. Their son, the Civil War soldier, Andrew Potter was a colorful character. Thanks Leo, for the great video!
Absolutely gorgeous country. Almost brings tears to the eyes. Thanks for all the running around you both do so we get to see. I’m hoping to come down to Tennessee late spring early summer next year. Have a couple of friends that live in Tazewell. Beautiful country in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia ect.
Beautiful country. I found the moonshine still particularly interesting, thank you very much for explaining how it worked. Great video, thank you very much Leo and Heather.
Thank you so beautiful to show what god made for nature and how his creation evolved to form such a place. Again thank you so much for showing all this.
I’ll test one of those jackets Leo in xl I hunt , fish , and camp in cold rainy conditions too especially at my cabin it’s off grid and bordering the chattahoochee national forest and a wma which is well known for bear and wild hog hunting I’ll make a video on its wearability and functions I’d be happy to for your show buddy tell Heather I said Hi lol Eric!
This is such a beautiful location Leo. Thank you for walking down the steps (Ha!) than up the steps to a cemetery. Love the scenery. Do you think that could be New River??? Wouldn't that location be a wonderful place to camp for a few days??? That is right up my ally Leo. Thank you for this great video. Watch out for Bigfoot!!! Ha!!!
That’s such a beautiful area, Leo! Did you hear that Devil Anse’s great grandson, James Anderson “Anse” Howes from Sarah Ann, WV. He passed the end of October at 95. I knew him all my life and his wife, Thelma, who had already passed, and his sons who still live in the area. His obituary is online at Collins Funeral Home at Switzer, WV. Thought you might want to know.
I'm sure the video doesn't do the view justice. We were in that area when my boys were little..the view behind us in one photo....absolutely breathtaking, thank you for the video!
Beautiful area with amazing views . Thanks for the virtual outing once again. 🤝 I'm wondering if any of the 10 kids with extended families are still around somewhere.
It would be interesting to know if there is any documentation or stories among his descendants describing his hops/plans for the future of his property.
@laurabrooks7655, my family was from neighboring Lawrence County. When I was a young girl in the 1960’s I had a hard time figuring out what a “dry” county was and why. LOL! I grew up in southern WV and remember my cousins going to the ABC store in WV to buy their whiskey! 😃😃😃
Hi! Enjoying the videos! Where do you guys go when filming? I’m wanting to go out to eastern North Carolina to a few grave yard. Not really knowing my way around out east or southern states.
Yes Amen ! God is the one responsible for this world...as Jesus says don't be deceived when we know the truth it sets us fee for the Bible tells us so! Filled with gods truth in everything and anything! God bkess

Hi! Enjoying the videos!
Where do you guys go when filming? I’m wanting to go out to eastern North Carolina to a few grave yard. Not really knowing my way around out east or southern states.
We look up the cool stories, and then go find the places... Sometimes GPS will work, and sometimes it's knocking on doors for local info.
I could live in the cabin as long as I could have my pet pigs.
And I know you and siri aren't getting along. Might need to reevaluate that friendship 😮😅
I live like 30 mins from there
It wasn't a so-called ancient sea, It's called the great flood of Noah.❤
Amen cut by the great flood
Yes Amen ! God is the one responsible for this world...as Jesus says don't be deceived when we know the truth it sets us fee for the Bible tells us so! Filled with gods truth in everything and anything! God bkess
Bless and free sorry for error

Potters wife not buried near? Or children?
A couple memorial benches, but no other family.
His 2nd wife, Mary is buried at Elkhorn City Cemetery, Elkhorn City, Ky., which is in Pike County where she was born.
